GV Integration issue/business account - HTC EVO 3D

i have a business account that where i was able to integrate GV with my sprint number. I kept my sprint number and all worked fine until yesterday when calls stopped working. data was fine though. after being on the phone with sprint for about 30 minutes, the rep came back saying that business accounts were never supposed to be able to integrate, and that is what was causing my problem. so he manually deintegrated my line and gv account, and calls started working. he said i could attempt to integrate again, but according to my gv account settings, i still am. but, it is not working in a way where it is.
i can live without the tight integration, as much as i enjoyed it. but even to use it for voicemail i need a different gv number. i have no options to change it. the account settings still reflect my sprint number.
they guy on the phone seemed like he didnt have a clue on what else to do, and neither do i other than to call back sprint and try again. anyone else run into something like this?

yes, it happend to me with a personal gv number. sprint didn't have a clue. I separated my sprint number and google voice number, that worked. Later I went into gvoice settings, phones, advance settings and selected PIN not required. My numbers are once again integrated and working. Don't know if this is your issue, but it worked for me.

Google Voice not intercepting on VZW

OK, I know I'll probably get slammed, but I searched and searched and can't find the answer...
I'm coming from the Nexus One on ATT where google voice worked flawlessly. Now, on Verizon with the Thunderbolt, it's a nightmare. Incoming calls don't get my Gvoice message, just a notice saying to enter a PIN. Also, Gvoice isn't showing the correct outgoing caller ID... even though everything "appears" to be setup properly in Gvoice settings and on the Thunderbolt.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!! Any ideas?
The information on the Google Voice Settings page didn't work for me. Telling you to dial some crazy * #### blah blah blah.
So I did some calling to Verizon and dug deeper. In order to get GV on your VZW, you need to do these steps:
*71[Google Voice Number]
*90[GVnumber]
*92[GVnumber]
Then GV should work.
I was in the same boat as you. Upgraded from TMO Nexus to this and was going crazy trying to figure out why GV wouldn't work.
Hope it helped?
Why don't u just fork out the money for Verizon's awesome visual voicemail! What a joke. Don't think Verizon likes gv.

I just installed the app, dialed *xxxxxxxxxx (whatever number i was told to dial by the app or site) and it seems to be working fine. I've never used it before though, so I'll update this if something goes wrong.

I did that and the voicemail still were intercepted by Verizon

I just followed the directions on google.com/voice and mine worked fine. My voicemail gets picked up by GV.
i had previously set up gvoice with sprint so what I had to do in gvoice was delete my cell number and re-set it up so it would register with Verizon. Works fine after that.

Thanks for the post, let me try it out. Also, after digging more at Google.com, I found these bonus codes depending on what network we're on...
Verizon (CDMA network): *71[GVnumber] AND *90[GVnumber] AND *92[GVnumber]
Verizon (TDMA Network): *74[GVnumber] and *73[GVnumber]
What net are we on with LTE?
Worked! THANKS!
Worked fine for me with just the *71-XXX-XXX-XXXX code BOTH times I had to set it up (thursday new phone, last night after rooting). I just called myself from my Skype out # and it rolled to GV voicemail.
All U.S. Verizon Customers are on the CDMA network.

That code only sets up forwarding for one group of calls. Unfortunately, you need to setup GVoice on the Thunderbolt to properly forward BOTH unanswered (missed) calls, and ignored (intentionally declined) calls. The two different actions are handled differently by Verizon - hence the multiple dial-in codes. Although I don't know what the third code is for.

I'm not going to get into a huge back and forth over it, but I just tested my Thunderbolt phone both ways...I called it and let it go unanswered, and then I called it and hit the decline button on the screen. Both times it rolled to my Google Voice voicemail. I only set it up with the *71 code.
I'm not disputing that your experience may be different, but that's how it worked for me.
Whenever I try to add my new Verizon phone number, it shows up as a Gizmo account no matter what I select (Mobile, Home, or Work).
Just what I was looking for, thanks!
works the same as it did for me from my og droid. i wish there would be an icon telling me what number the people are calling me on. i have a bunch of people call the wrong number and i never know what line its on.
I had Google voicemail set up on T-Mobile with my N1, MyTouch 4G and it worked perfect. Tried to set it up on my Thunderbolt with Verizon and I went thru the set up procedure, dialed the *71 and my google # then *90 and finaly *92. When I was done I tried to call myself and see if it works, I get a message asking me to put the # I am trying to call and hit the pound button. Please help, Love Google Voice and I tried Verizon tech help and absolutely useless, tried to sell me theirs.
Please anyone, I want that Google voicemail app working.

I had a friend of mind call in and he got the same message. I have seen other posts of people with the same issue. I can not find out how they resolved their issue. Someone must have the answer, Verizon tech help didn't have a clue unless I was buying their V Voice Mail.
I also came over from t-mobile. All I did was set my phone's voicemail setting to my Google number, then did *71(my Google number) and my voicemail works fine.

[Q] Google Voice screwed up my phone?

I know there are other issues with GV. I have used it flawlessly on my old Hero, so I thought it would be the same on the 3d. I had integrated my Sprint number to GV in my GV settings(option #1), but did not use the GV app on the phone. I travel extensively, and ran into problems retrieving my GV messages. I did not always have reliable 3g or 4g service, thus unable to hear messages that were not transcribed properly.
I tried to disable GV and go back to the stock VVM, but now I cannot use my phone!!! The dialer will not connect to anything but *2, old GV number or 911!
A sprint tech tried to assign a dummy phone to my account, no luck. Seems my account is locked because of trying to remove GV. I have a SERO plan, may be part of the problem, but I haven't had issues til now.
Any help would be appreciated.

In short, when you say you disabled GV you mean that you went onto your google voice account on a computer and followed these steps:
1. Log into your computer
2. Go to Google.com/voice and sign in and jump to your Voice Settings
3. Now next to your number you want to click the DEACTIVATE SPRINT AND GOOGLE INTEGRATION (or something along those lines)
Yep, my Google account on a computer, the Sprint techs asked me 5 time to make sure. I have the option to integrate the number again, but as my phone will not receive a call on the Sprint network, I am stuck.
Yesterday and today, I was in a roaming area, my phone worked there to dial out, but no incoming calls or voice mail. When someone calls in, "we are unable to connect your call, please try again".
One tech tried to tell me it was a phone issue, I believe its a network issue.
Thanks again,
Craig
Not an expert here, but maybe you could try a hard reset on ur phone.
I tried the Google voice/Sprint integration and did not like it took over everything, I.e. phone, voice msg, and texting.
I however was able to un-integrate VIA GV website and uninstall/reinstall the app. Now just running it for voice mail.
Did some searching on xda prior to this and read some threads where people talked about conducting a hard reset to un-fuk GV issues.
Just a thought.

I just noticed the part about the Sero plan. There is a Google Voice account code that needs to be active on your account for this to work. It shows up as a $0 charge under your phone, same place where your $10 premium data charge would show online.
Sprint Tech got me to Hard reset (factory reset), luckily I pulled the SD card just prior.
Just removed all reference to my cell number in GV needed to remove the # form forwarding. Called Sprint to remove SOC for GV. I can now make and receive calls!!!

[Q] Issues with voicemail?

This maybe due to my "upgrading" SIM cards at T-mo earlier today, but my new Amaze is not allowing me to set up Google Voice or utilize the Visual Voicemail preinstalled features and keeps directing me to call 611. Google Voice sends back an error stating "Failed to retrieve and save current forwarding number settings." When I click on Voicemail Settings it looks bad. The page doesnt load up (ie appears greyed out, with a jumble of numbers at the top where my phone # should be. Anyone else having similar issues? My first guess is either an issue with Sense or T-Mo.

If you try to open VM Settings does it look normal, or is it all greyed out and the number all jumbled?
mines not greyed out. double check and run the setup a few times, maybe itll work through. mine said some error, but i dont have anything greyed out actually. i check mine with the google voice app itself, so i dont see it as an immediate issue (for me at least)
I went from the LG G2x to this device and I had GVoice on that. The voice app failed to set call forwarding options for me, too, when I first installed it on the Amaze4G but becuase they are subscriber specific with the carrier, and not the device it doesn't matter.
If you go through google voice web site and go through the settings you can get the call forwarding codes and dial it from the device and it will accomplish the same thing and work fine.
I was on the phone with TMO this morning about a network issue happening with my phone that's unrelated to voicemail. In investigating potential service issues they mentioned that Seattle and the surrounding area has a new visual voicemail system issue. It could be that. I'm not sure if that's specific to my location or if they rolled out something service wide.

this isnt a google voice problem and did you "disable" it or "unintegrate" it?
Step 1 - Set your mom's voicemail back to Carrier (If Sprint, the code is her 10 digit phone number).
Step 2 - Go to Settings -> Update profile and allow it to reload her profile.
Step 3 - Restart her phone.
If this fails, you should call *2 and request that a reset be sent to the phone.
I went from a 3.5 rom to a 3.0 because sprint wanted me to access the "system update" screen. When i first booted, before i added a google account, i was able to call her. Added her google account, then i couldnt call her. Seems like a google problem to me. What im thinking of doing is taking her blackberry to sprint and having the numbers put into a dif google account.
Call Sprint to reprovision your phone.

I would try first what this member is suggesting, there are codes availabe to disable GV voice mail, I believe is *72 or something, you can go to the GV help in the website for more info.
Now, if after unlinking the account to GV you still get the same reaction then go to sprint for help.
Question does your mother and you have different carries, e.g.: Sprint & Verizon?

I need some help with Google Voice, I screwed something up!

I've been Google searching and searching here for an hour. Because I don't really know "what" happened, I'm lost as to how to fix it.
I've got a Sprint phone and I've got a Google Voice account.
The way I've had it for a couple years is that if you call my Google Voice, my phone rings too but if I don't pick up, you go to my Google Voice mail which then I get notified of a voice mail via the Google Voice Android app.
If you call my Sprint number, obviously that rings threw to my phone too, but if I don't pick up, you get my Sprint voice mail which I'm notified via Sprints visual voice mail.
Now and I'm sure I did something wrong, I put a new ROM on my phone and I've been tweaking Google Voice, but now when you call my GV number and get my voice mail it says, you've reached the Sprint voicemail for XXX-XXX-XXXX...
Um... I wouldn't be using GV if I wanted people to know my actual number.
Now if I log into GV and un-check the box next to my list of phones, it goes back to sending GV to GV Mail and Sprint to Sprint, but the calls to my GV number no longer ring threw, you just get my voice mail and I get notified via the GV app.
What did I do wrong?
This is driving me crazy. I activate Google Voicemail, I get Google Voicemail on both m GV number and Sprint, I deactivate Google Vociemail, I get my Sprint Voicemail on BOTH my GV number and Sprint number.
The only way I can separate the two it so disable my phone on my GV account but then the calls to my GV number do not ring threw.
Really?! No one has any thoughts? No one uses GV or has ever had issues like this?
My advice to you mate is to make a new google voice account. Seems like your best bet.

When Google voice goes bad , it can be very tricky to get it working again. I had an issue where my sprint # was in use on an old GV account I didn't have access to. In the end I changed my sprint #. GV is great but if something gets messed up , very hard to fix (in my experience)

Just check your settings, particularly this one, and set to display GV number for incoming calls: https://www.google.com/voice#callsettings
Also when you first install it it ask to use GV as your main voicemail. So you can clear GV datas and in Manage Application and set it up from beginning again.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1522953
This may help!
GRRR didn't work!
I even removed my Sprint cell from my Google Voice account completely and readded it. I call my GV number, I get you have reached the Sprint voice mail box of "my sprint number here", not my GV voicemail.
Again if I log into my GV account and un-check my Sprint phone, then call my GV number I get my GV voicemail box BUT the calls NEVER ring threw to my phone.
Going to try setting up a whole new Google account and GV I guess. Hopefully Sprint lets me and doesn't give me the whole you already have a GV account crap.
Did you ever get an answer to this? This started happening to me out of nowhere.
