Hi everybody. Sorry for poor English.
You know, android market have a camera 360 and few more applications. I want to do mobile photograpy.
Camera 360 and other applications haven't got iso and flash setup. Too bad flash settings. Led lights up or dont light. I want to led's power settings.
I need iso settings on the main screen. We will be iso setup easily after new camera application. (I think )
Can you develop like this application? I can't do this. I am a c# developer. I dont know about for java and android development. New android professional photograpy application, and have iso, flash, filter, contrast, brightness, sharpness, manual focus settings. Would be perfect
I'm sorry for my poor English again. Thanks for answers.
Up up up, where is answers?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Well first youd need to find yourself a java coder and someone who works with eclipse alot. Then youd need to find if this is even possible? I know in aosp roms the flash settings are built into the rom so youd be changing a file of somekind probably in the .jar files somewhere. Thats why you havent seen a photography app yet b/c I dont actually think what your talking about is even possible given androids file structure.

If you can do c#, then you won't have any problem picking up java. There is not much difference, really.
Anyway, professional photography on a phone? Sounds like an oxymoron.
1- Buy a Samsung Galaxy S2
2- Root it.
3- Flash CheckROM
It has base Samsung Camera with ISO settings and a lot more.

Hi all,
re: App development.
I have some experience of JAVA and have a fair bit of experience with JS and PHP, so coding is not alien to me.
I have come across a few things where I have thought "an App would be great for that!" and would like to investigate App development. I have read through a couple of tutorials, but they all assume more Android experience than I have.
I'm not after specifics from board members here, but wondered if anyone knew of an 'Android Apps 101" or an Android App development alternative to the famous 'Hello World' intros there are for most languages.
Thanks for any leads people can give me.
I think the Android Developer's Guide is great http://developer.android.com/guide/index.html
Just started developing a small app myself a few days ago, and the biggest problem so far is Java itself. The android development itself is really easy. You can create UIs via drag & drop when using eclipse + android plugin and the rest is well documented in the guide I posted.
:/ how I managed to miss that I don't know...
thanks very much - exactly what I'm after

Can you make a Remote Play app???????

Like Playstation 3 remote play? Probably not, it'd be ridiculously difficult.
Here's a question I've not seen asked yet....
I've just started using Google's appinventor and I'm wondering if there is any way of loading an ".apk" file into it. If not, how can I convert an .apk file into an appinventor project file?
Guess I must be posting in the wrong place!

no idea, sorry
Also, I tried app inventor for a bit... I guess it does what it says it will do, ie cater to the needs of non-dev people who want to make apps
But coming from a dev background, I don't see myself working with it too long, just to get familiar with the android OS. Once I do that, its back to good old Eclipse

Where would I start learning about programming for Android? I'm a total beginner, but I learn quickly
Well, is not difficult as long as you have some programming knowledge.
It won't make a big difference if is Android or other platform
Specifically for android:
http://developer.android.com/index.html
And google search

Hi Guys
I've been trying out some newer ROMs but have lost track of which ROM I was using previously. It was one of the Cyanogen builds and the gallery viewer that came with it integrated with Picasa seamlessly. I had quite a few issues with my WiFi cutting out and not reconnecting automatically with it though, so would like to move to a new ROM
If someone can recognise this gallery app, can I extract it and add it to another ROM? As I'm rooted can I just swap it out with the existing viewer. What compatibility issues might I have? I'm computer savvy but pretty inexperienced with Android at that level and haven't used Linux for 7 years
All help and ideas appreciated, cheers all
Wow, no takers. I've been looking into it myself and what I think I'd like to do is grab the best bits of the various ROMs I've used. No disrespect to the guys who have been making some brilliant ROMs but I'd like to dabble with a deeper layer of customisation
Is there a "kitchen" programme that will allow me to do this for x10? Also how do I check a programmes compatibility with certain kernels and basebands? Do Android .apk files rely on external libraries or files like Windows do? If so is there a way I can check an .all's dependencies?
Sorry for so many questions but this is new to me and would like to get a handle on where to start. Thanks in advance

You should try mixing around good ROMs with mixing features you might end up with something good
what you can also do is have fun with the apk's and the framework-res.apk
you can de-compile and re-compile them with x10 mod tool
HERE
You can also have a look at the androidmanifest.xml to check for dependencies
If it does not install you can use X10 mod tool to have a look at the LOGCAT
which will tell u the exact dependencies
All kernels for now other than stock depend on bb .52 right now
and baseband upto my knowledge does not depend on the apps
very much other than phone.apk and the wlan
If you need any help just PM me

Dude, that app is stock Android gallery. It shows Picasa albums. You can find it here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cooliris.media&feature=search_result
Hi guys,
so i've recently downloaded installed and bought faceniff.
i really like the app, but i was wondering if there was a way to make it show the full password.
i've decompiled the apk, and i have looked at it for a while but i cant seem to make sense of it all. i have some experience in C++ and C, also PHP VB.NET etc but not in java.
has anyone looked into this ?
when the code is found it shouldn't be too much work, only thing i need help with is finding the code that puts the ***'s over the middle of the password.
many thanks,
ps. ofcourse i would release the apk (with buy option still enabled).
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Well first of all, this is the wrong place to ask this question but still. You'll need Android Studio to program an app (or use xamarin with c# if you don't want to use java). There are extensive tut's about creating your first android application on the internet provided by google. Try to complete (most of) the tut's that they suggest. After that you'll (hopefully) have a basic understanding of programming in android.
But be reminded that learning to program is a process that could take a long time, depending om how much time and effort you put in to it.
Goodluck!
