I'm looking for a small thumb-like bt keyboard. I know there are many folded ones, but they are all to big. Coming from Kaiser i miss thumb-typing, so i'm in need of something similar. Logitech dinovo mini is way to expencive and still to big to carry around. I found some, but don't know if they will work. If anyone has some idea if this can work on HD or does know thumb-like keyboard, please share.
Old one, but it looks great

Have you also explore alternative soft keyboards like Resco or SBP:
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/keyboard/
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/keyboard/
I also used to have a Touch Pro and a Tytn II and was a thumb typist on both. But, now I'm happy with JUST the HD and now keyboard.
i use soft keybrds for fast input, but when typing long emails it's much faster to type with hw keyboard. I even make less typos with it.
i suppose the only problem is with device driver, so what kind of BT chip does HD have? Some of this thumb keyboards allready have wm support (of some sort) and support Bluesoil.
I dont know much of this, so i could be way off. Even so, i think this would be good adition.
tnx
could be used for games?

I'm not sure that the maplin one would work
I had a real good look at it plus some web searching
ps3's use a different HID to microsoft
Hence I'm reasonable sure it not for you
Gary

hi,
i am very unhappy about the build in microfon of my transformer 101.
i am so disappointed, that i wonder if i should sell my 101 and buy a 201.
how is the mic quality of the prime? is it better? are there any comparison
videos from users owning both devices yet?
and if it as crapy as the one from the 101, is there any hardwaremod
thats replaces the build in one with a better one yet?
thank you. still hoping that ics makes a difrent about the mic settings,
but with no big hope :/

I can only offer anecdotal evidence, FWIW.
I had 2 Acer A500 tablets, both of which had very poor mics. It was a design problem, I think. I like voice input, so resolved to look at TF Prime to see whether the TF-201 had done a better job.
When I got my Prime Dec 28 that was the first thing I tried, and am happy to say, that at least on my instance, it had decent mic and voice input recognition. That should be the case, as voice input is emphasized on upcoming ICS.
I can't compare voice on TF-201 to that on 101, but it was better than on A500, and adequate for me.
Unfortunately there were other issues for me with Prime.
i know that when skyping or gchatting on my tf201 prime i have not had 1 problem as of yet
may one of you try a selfrecording with the record app
and analyse if its good or poor quality?
the google voice recognition is pointless because its
85% working on my 101 too, but recording myself
or even skyping is so bad in quality that its no fun.
thanks
The Mic is perfect (it got even two I think). I picked up the tablet yesterday and called a friend on skype. He first thought that I was behind my PC (I use a logitech G35 headset there, so a very good one)

I recently have run into Droidmote. I have a good setup at home but wanted to use my Asus Transformer as the mouse and keyboard. Took me 2 weeks to really find something that worked. Not sure if anyone is interested but I thought this was a cool find. Definitely worth the $2. Just put this on your Photon (or other android device) https://market.android.com/details?id=org.videomap.droidmoteserver
Also posted one of my worst videos of my life posted on youtube lol, due to me being too excited. This is also the same dock I purchased for $29.99 btw

Hey all, I know i'm kinda late to the party, but I found a nice little Bluetooth keyboard that has an integrated stand. It works really well for the Tab Pro 10.1 even though it's technically made for the iPad.
Here's a link to my review (with pics). http://www.amazon.com/review/R2XJOV3VU2D9EX/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00HAZOSWY
Looks like a great option. I wish I had found this thread months ago. I've had my Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 for almost a full year now, and while I love the performance, functionality and portability of it, I agree that it has been missing a keyboard.
It seems Samsung has abandoned the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1. After months of searching I could not find a single custom keyboard option. Instead I could only find general/basic Android keyboards.
I've tried several Belkin options and some Logitech. Which do okay. Now I'm waiting on a keyboard from WayTools called the Textblade. It is a stand alone option, that is super thin and portable. Since I travel for work and run between classrooms at my University Portable is very important to me. I cannot fit my tablet, books, notebooks, keyboard, laptop, mouse, and etc. So I'm cutting down removing the 5 lbs laptop and 1 lb Belkin keyboard for the aforementioned option.
Thanks for making this post.
You're welcome.
Is that Textblade keyboard made specifically for the Tab Pro or is is a generic Android device?
Unfortunately it is generic but portability is the main selling point. See https://waytools.com/hands-on
Funny, I just pre-ordered a TextBlade as well. Looking forward to it!
Hi XDA people! I got a Tab Pro 10.1 as a gift a year back or so, I've been enjoying it with games or playing HD movies on my TV with HDMI adapter. I've also used it to study a lot, mainly just read while in bed. Very comfortable way to get A:s on your exams. However for the next semester I'm going to have to do way more written work, essays and such. This semester has only been exams so haven't really had any need for a case/keyboard. I've Googled a bit and found absolutely no case with integrated keyboard that fits the 10.1, nor do I think it might be the best idea to get as I need to do a great deal of work next semester.
I was wondering if it's at all possible to get a case the tab pro 10.1 and then a seperate keyboard for it? Or should I just invest into a laptop? I'm very greatful for any tips I can get!
Regards /Rob.
Samsung has neglected the Tab Pro 10.1
Unfortunately, I've been in the same boat as you. Looking for a year now for a folio/keyboard case for my Tab Pro 10.1.
There exists some options on eBay but nothing specifically made for the Tab Pro 10.1. I even considered a Logitech Keyboard case made for the Tab S since the dimensions were so similar but in the end i decided against spending $99+ on something that probably wouldn't fit right.
I've given up that search and opted out for a stand alone keyboard. I've tried several Belkin models and i'm now expecting a keyboard from WayTools called the Textblade. Very slim and portable. I plan to make this tablet and keyboard my daily drivers for School/Work.
