Atrix, should I buy or not - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi guys,
I know this has been asked already, but all I see are very old threads and a lot has changed since.
Since the Galaxy SII and sensation are available now, so my question is should I buy an Atrix or should i look for other options. I am asking this question here as most of the people are using Atrix and can better tell how the phone is. If given a second chance will you buy Atrix again ?

It really depends on the money you want to spend. I got the Atrix for $99 on contract, so it was attractive to me. The higher res display was also a plus for me. When the GB update comes it'll be nice to have the 1080p recording. Also the lapdock function works fantastically for me. I travel a lot and it's nice to be able to use my phone as a laptop and charge it at the same time.
But the Galaxy S2 has a slightly faster CPU, same RAM and the display is leagues ahead in color reproduction. Seriously, looking at them is sort of unnerving because of the ridiculously bright colors.
Otherwise I'm sure they're fairly comparable.
Decide for yourself, then you can't come back here and complain to us when you're not happy.

well i have had most of the latest android phones out there at the moment and currently have the Atrix.
Things i like about it are...
1. The size, i find that the 4" screen and overall size of the phone are perfect for me, fits great in the hand and i can select most things with one hand.
2. Screen quality is great..more 'natural' than the galaxy s2, just a shame they didnt coat the screen in the same way to resist fingerprints
3. Call quality is excellent, audio quality through headphones i find to be really good (i use Klipsch x10) and it sounds great.
4. External speaker is one of the best ive known on a phone, better than the iphone 4 and galaxy s2...yes ive owned both.
5. notification led....many of the current android phones seem to leave this out but im glad the Atrix has one as its really useful.
Things i dont like....
1. 2.2 Froyo....really, along with moto-blur nearly ruin a great phone. The phone really dosent perform like a 2 core phone. However, this can be improved by using an alternative launcher like ADW ex....thats what i am using and makes scrolling between screens much smoother and less laggy.
2. The wait for gingerbread.....Motorola could be onto a big fail like sony ericcson did when they brought out the xperia x10 with android 1.6...it had everything going for it then they slaughterd it with 1.6! crazy!
Other than the fact that it is let down by having froyo i like everything else about the phone..infact i probably find it worse than others might because i have owned the galaxy s2 quite recently (sold because it was too big for me to hold in one hand) and that phone is fantastic. Very smooth and very quick...this really is where the Atrix should be
Just my view of course...
will i stick with the Atrix?.......well if gingerbread comes out in the next couple of weeks then there is every chance...if not....well i like the look of the xperia neo

these are the facts
this phone is awesome
it sucks in the same respect bc nobody, wants to dev for it, i have not seen a single anything in the last 6 months, and finally we get a leaked buggy build from hongkong and an unlocked bl
id say 90% of atrix script kiddies on here suck
, all they do is ***** about release dates, and when is cyanogen coming, and when someone finally releases something, they troll the boards just ripping the guy a new a**hole
this phone is great but if you like modding your phone and flashing custom roms
this phone will never be there in my opinion,
and it doesnt even need an xda portal bc nothing is being developed, just gingerbread skins
and questions being asked over and over and over.
so in conclusion buy the gs2 if you like roms go to that thread , theres a ton
and if you like a great phone thats small and has a high resolution, and will probably never see a custom rom, but is stable, buy the atrix

wohooo..that is like too much of hatred.
Let me put in some facts regarding the development in this one:-
The BL has just been unlocked and custom roms are being worked on, you need to follow the devs on twitter and check out the Atrix dev section on Rootzwiki, just go the irc chat and find out more.
Official GB should be released soon, if it is not then an Atrix has already been donated to the CM team and CM should come out for the Atrix.
The leaked 2.3.4 build has nearly been perfected and AFAIK it is fit for daily use.

thanks for all the suggestions. I am quite fond of flashing ROMs. I bought a HD2 just because of its ability for modifications. since there isn't much work being done on moding Atrix, I guess I'll have to opt for Galaxy SII (btw I didn't like it due to its size)

There is a ton of development going on now for the Atrix. The last couple of weeks has been insane as far as that goes. Official Gingerbread 2.3.4 is rumored to come out this month. There is a leaked version that is pretty stable out now. The boot-loader is now FINALLY unlock-able so DEVs are going to and have already started new Kernels and ROMs. Choice is yours though.

Nah..don't bother with the stupid 2.3.4 Chinese leak. Its buggy and some limited functionality. Don't really see the point of flashing to the leak 2.3.4 update then reflashing it with the official 2.3.4 update. Flash much!?
Buy the Atrix when the official 2.3.4 comes out and check back XDA after a couple of months when fully functional roms and themes comes out. No need to frustrate urself and end up like the other idiots who can't read and flashed 2.3.4 and screwed up. Alot of that been happening lately.

The Samsung Vibrant. Worthy Buy?

Hello Guys. I was hoping on buying this phone tomorrow. I love the look, the screen, processor etc etc but i see a little lack of amount of Devs like i thought i would see. Coming from being a G1 user for about 2 years now and being in the dream forum you guys probably know where im going with this (constant roms, constant upgrades, hacks for absolutely no reason making having the same ROM for too long annoying) was wondering was this phone a worthy buy? or are things just at a slow pace for now? would hate to buy this phone just for it to get over shadowed by the G2 being available soon and then having absolutely NO dev support anymore now seeing as Cyanogen himself is getting the G2 and there hasn't been a cm6 let alone anything from him released for this device.

While i'm completely grateful for your reply, i must say i've already read that thread and it actually generated my question of if its a worthy buy strictly upon dev work reasons. but thanks very much.

So you thought it would of been a better idea to post a NEW thread about it than replying to the thread that is pretty much relating to the same thing you're looking for as the OP in the other thread?
The vibrant beats the G2 in every other way in terms of hardware. The only reason why its going slow at the moment is because you aren't aware of what has been going on. CM6 was off to a slow start because WesGarner was working on the myTouch Slide before working on the vibrant but now his priority is to get CM6 up and running. CyanogenMod is already promised for the Galaxy S in 6.1, another reason why it is off to a slow start is because Samsung and HTC do their systems differently so it takes time to learn the environment and all that (I'm not a developer so.. I'm 100% correct about this).
It is still a top-notch phone based on benchmarks, yeah there are other factors based to it but the Hummingbird processor is the fastest processor on the market for Android phones. On top of that with Super AMOLED, it pretty much makes it so that when you look at your G1 it looks tiny. 4" is definitely the perfect size.
I'm sure once CM6 is up and running on Vibrant, things will start to roll up. I believe benbuchacher (known for his famous works: SuperD, SuperE, and incoming SuperF) has a Vibrant, Eugene_373 and justanothercrowd are some of the great developers that have been hard at work for giving us things to play with until CM6 is ready. There are many other developers out there that I haven't listed (sorry^)
The Galaxy S is also a international phone (as well as the four major U.S. carriers, people who want the keyboard on the Galaxy S have a option for the Epic 4G), a lot of the files are very similar and tweaks/hacks would work fine. So.. yeah in my opinion its a worthy buy, you have a 14-day (or 30) to return if it doesn't satisfy you.

That other thread was comparing a g2 to a vibrant. asking which was a better buy. I know every Dev you posted along with the basics of the vibrant etc Etc. Not a noob here in the slightest way Was just wondering from a person who has the phone thats all. The bold was exactly what i was wondering and was looking for so thank you for answering that question. Was planning on trying to port some the millions of ROMS from the dream over to this Phone but now i know why i don't see most of them already here. Gonna Do some research Now. Thanks alot fellow. And Yes I did think it was going to be a Better idea since you answered It quickly, efficiently, and there was no reason to read comments on things i wasn't really concerned about to find my answer. See how it worked out? Thanks again.
It's starting to leap ahead slowly. They found out how to flash kernels thru recovery just a couple of days ago so there isn't much more need for using a program called Odin to flash kernels. Odin can be pretty unreliable sometimes with the random crashing, I have yet to experience this but some people have. Definitely makes the job easier.
I was a huge fan of the "Super" ROMs, I definitely know what you mean by ROMs.. there would be a new one every other day and it would be fun to flash them and try it out then nandroid back. I'm certainly hoping for the same thing here, I'll admit that it is a little bit difficult when all the phones are seperated with their own forum but there is a proposal going around about merging all of them together (I9000,Fascinate,Epic 4G,Vibrant,Captivate)
Sadly i think the Vibrant is a great phone but wont have quite the dev as the G2 will. The G2 will probably be picked up by the likes of Cyanogen himself so it will depend on if a dev like him wants to keep it going or not. Had Cyanogen picked up the Vibrant and ran with it i think it might have had more possibilities. However i picked up the phone i had the G1 for 1.5 years (was a T-mobile Employee and got it 2 weeks before launch) and then switched to unlocked iphone for .5 years now im on the vibrant and im loving it. The android community has grown since i have been gone however i think since its samsung and not HTC that is what the problem is.

The main reason why Cyanogen picked up the G2 is because he doesn't condone manufacturers to put their custom interfaces over it. Cyanogen prefers stock Android. The OP said himself that he is a porter so he is a developer, I don't think it'd be a wise idea for everybody to just follow Cyanogen because there are definitely the people using the Galaxy S phones who would enjoy the same amount of modding.
There is larger room to make a name for yourself simply because there are less developers but there is definitely a large community for the phone that wants modding support.

Great phone, great experience and everything, does get kinda boring after sometime because i feel the phone is great the way it is, so until froyo theres nothing to really get excited about.
anyway great phone, and if i had to do it over again, i will still get this phone.a
I love it. Ive used just about every flavor of manufacturer-skinned android, along with vanilla (2.1 on G1). I can say after using other skins, TouchWiz 3.0 is pretty great. Vanilla android always wins, but this skin didn't feel as useless as some others.
I am coming from a mytouch slide, and a G1 before that, so the thought of a phone with no keyboard worried me. However the screen is the perfect size, and I'm pretty fast with swype. Not to mention, I had this phone rooted within 10 minutes of getting it home, whereas I never got the Slide rooted.
CM6 is coming to the Vibrant. Development is going to pick up. The Galaxy S series is on all four major carriers here in the US. I know we're going to see some interesting things happen.
I've had a lot of fun with this phone in the short time I've owned it, so I can definitely recommend it. And about the G2, it doesn't exactly seem light-years ahead, and if you wait for it...like magic the next superphone will be leaked and your attention will be on that.
So I would say get the Vibrant, you'll have a lot of fun with it.
...oh and I typed this out on it.
The only reason I might not get this phone is because of A. Its Sammie so who knows how long the official 2.2 comes B. Its not HTC so Devs will have to get accustomed to the phone C. It has Touchwiz. I could deal with Sense for a bit in waiting of CM6 or just stock 2.2 Android but playing with the phone in the Tmo store just turned me off. Looks like I will have to get a N1 or maybe wait for the G2
To me the entire CM6 is so over hyped its insane. The devs working on things are doing great. The phone is awesome as it is and anything beyond what it is now is pure gravy.
If/when CM6 hits I'm sure it will be awesome, but if you are holding out on the idea of that then well your going to miss out on a great phone.
The "devs" in the Dream section mostly produce hacked up beta garbage that never reaches a final release. Thanks but no thanks, I don't like flashing my phone 23452434 times to find something that works properly in ALL aspects. Then when you try to tell the devs what's broken they pitch a ***** fit and start complaining because they released it with known bugs. SICK of it.
There are a few that are worth the time in the G1/myTouch section but most of it is garbage and I had both devices.
Difficulty
The phone is worthy in every aspect of the word. This is an HTC forum. Luckily for us we have a very popular phone. I doubt we will go the way of other non HTC (AND SOME HTC) phones.
I am enjoying this phone, bloat and all, especially after the lag fix. I do enjoy an elegant vanilla though. But in its current condition would enjoy this Vibrant for at least a year.

Okay first off. Touchwiz is pretty good now. Touchwiz implemented pretty cool features and it isn't as bad. Dont criticize it if you haven't ever tried it. Samsung has already said froyo will be released sometime in September. Stop degrading a phone that you've never used.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Since the vibrant is fairly new and with the Froyo rumored to be out in Sept., I just don't see why any dev will want to spend all their time making a rom for a phone that might be getting the 2.2 upgrade in a month. I'm sure once the Froyo update is out, the devs will start their custom roms... For those that doesn't like the stock home launcher setup, just goto the market and get Launcher pro or ADWLauncher. Both will replace the iphone look alike. As far as lag fix and GPS fix, i didn't use any and my phone seems to be working like it should without any lag or gps problems.
I am not too into the whole ROM thing, if anyone could PM me the info in what it is for and why it is always great, it would be greatly appreciated. Anyways, back on topic, I like the Vibrant the screen is responsive and the huge screen makes typing a breeze(on both landscape and portrait mode). The processor is the best you can get right now on the Android OS and the screen is just amazing. The bad... Touch Wizard 3.0 is really good but coming from other Android devices I miss the App drawer so much. It does take getting used to, and if it is really that bad for you, then go get an open home theme. Or maybe stock Froyo installed(is that a ROM?) That would be nice, because the Vibrant would be perfect if it just had a less skinned theme. Great phone overall.

From apple to the wonderful world of droid questions!!

Hello everyone im fairly new to the world of android .
i just have a few questions that i have not been able to
find answers too Im sorry if there are other posts asking the same please send me their way if there is. i recently upgraded from the iphone 4 to the dell streak i have upgraded to 2.2 and rooted thanks to this great site .
i love how it runs now but now im getting interested in custom roms . my main questions are what are the benefits to a custom rom over just regular 2.2 ? and would a beginner user like myself benefit enough from one to install it? from what i can tell dj Steves roms are what we have is this correct?(i hear they are great but im not sure what they do ) i also purchased a galaxy tab when i got the phone phone and have not touched it much since im always playing on the phone should i keep it is there anything it can do that my phone cant? again guys please excuse me for the newbie questions and if did something wrong posting here u gotta remember i came from the iphone lol
thanks again!
Welcome to the "Android World" from another newbie
Benefits of custom roms usually are:
Increased performance,
UI customizations,
Application customizations,
Pre-installed must have applications.
Before my streak I had an Xperia X10 (and some windows mobile phones but that's another story). I tried most of the roms on X10. There are always small bugs that you have to live with.
At the end of the day you have to decide what fits best to your needs.
PS. I'm still at 318 official but I keep an eye to Steve's roms.
Im new to android as well, I bought this about 10 days ago.
I used to have iphone 4 as well as u are. I just downgrade to this streak for having bigger 5" inch.
Now I use official froyo 2.2 . Pref mod 318. Build 12821. Set cpu. On demand overclock 1.2Ghz . Pretty satisfied with it.
thanks
Thanks everyone for the welcome . i thought it was going to be a downgrade but i love the streak way more then my iphone 4! like you sai the 5 inch screen is awesome i don't think im keeping my galaxy tab anymore lol. I need to search and find how to do that on demand overclock i think for now ill stay stock until i understand android a bit better . Does anyone know where i could learn more about development on android is there a class i could take to learn the basics?
i want to contribute to the forum so i really want to learn how to develop
thanks again everyone. lastly does anyone know if anyone else is making a 5inch phone in the near future?
thanks
I'm so glad i'm not the only person to dump the iphone4 for the streak... I kinda felt silly doing so, especially since my iphone4 was completely custom, but so far i'm glad I did. My g/f now uses the iphone4. I got the streak for 49 bucks at best buy, and really liking it. perfect size.
anyone know why i can't get adb to detect my device? (debug is on, just upgraded to 2.2 ota)
-thanks
I don't think that you upgraded I think you down graded going with the streak that's where you went wrong
Not sure if 2.2 requires different drivers or not might give that a go. Welcome to android.
sent from my re-engineered dInc
So far my streak feels like an upgrade to me I had the iphone four since it came out but it just didn't feel right to me. guess it just depends on what fits your needs. My wife now uses the iphone 4th and I don't miss it one bit. I love having widgets and a screen big enough to actually make the gps useful I don't think I could go Back to a Small screen again
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
I also just came from Iphone world. Been a fan of iOS since the 3g. still a fan.
But couldn't deal with a lack of a bring screen. Been using the streak for like 2 weeks now.
I like it. I think the screen lags compared to Iphone, but maybe some of these performance modificatons will help.
I will stick with froyo 2.2 for now until I learn more. Haven't even rooted yet.

[Q] razr development

Is it me or is the development on the Droid Razr/VZW Razr is extremly failing?
It's coming. Just be patience
If the bootloader gets unlocked will that open up development?
Well for my experience having a Droid 2 development wasn't halted by the locked bootloader...
Even though most of the roms were moto blur based the user still had the option to change to a different rom were here there us only one...

The difference there is the original BLUR ROM that was on the D2 was HORRIBLE. Probably one of the worst implementations of BLUR ever.
I had a D2G, and it felt like Motorola dropped their pants and BLURRED all over my phone....it was ****e.
For the RAZR, the BLUR is really background. It's the best I've seen, as far as implementation of bloatware, and resources not being heavily taxed.
I've basically just rooted, frozen the bloatware, loaded ADW launcher, and I'm REALLY close to a CM7 build, in terms of performance and features.
We're also so close to ICS & CM9 being available that it doesn't make sense for a Dev to put a ton of work into creating a CM7 port on this phone.....what would that REALLY gain?? Maybe a bit of De-odexing, but that's about it, and even then performance is not really increased. So what would you like to see?? MIUI or Aphex might be nice to see, but again, what's the true benefit vs the work that would go into it??
Once CM9 hits officially, and they figure out the touch screen issues in ICS, I guarantee you'll see Dev's forking the trees of those ROM's and you'll see more development come. Right now, you can grab some pretty killer themes off a couple different forums, and you'll still have one of the best performing phones on the market, with probably the best build quality out there.
I remember my D2G, I was very unsatisfied with development as well for 2.5-3 months, but when CM7 finally started to get Alpha builds....the flood gates opened, and I ended up with 4 different ROM's to try in a months time period.
I settled on CM7 Rev Numbers, and was stoked with my phone up until the time I lost in Singapore.
After that experience, I'm totally OK with being patient until CM9 can port, because stock GB - bloatware on the RAZR is AWESOME.
Right. We have CM9 on the way from dhacker29 (and DroidTh3ory?), which could lead to like ICS MIUI and OMFICS or something lol. Nitro is trying to deodex so he can start on Eclipse... We're not dead, we're just in the middle of a weird patch.

I guess so..
the only thing we have to do now is wait..
Just an FYI, one of the dev's on another site just broke the code on the touch screen drivers, and is working this weekend to re-write them in ICS, so we may see an "alpha" version next week......MAYBE.
That was the last piece, as the radio's were working, but the touch was still not.
There's also the boot times, but those seemed to be tied to the touch screen.
Seriously, if this hits next week, you're going to see some big announcements soon.

This is my point also.
My Razr rooted and bloat frozen is running GREAT!
No ROM based on 2.3.X will run that much better (if at all) than what we have.

Motorola promised ICS for RAZR. What can a custom ROM provide that would improve on stock ICS, slightly Blurred, plus your favorite launcher and theme?

The difference there is the original BLUR ROM that was on the D2 was HORRIBLE. Probably one of the worst implementations of BLUR ever.
I had a D2G, and it felt like Motorola dropped their pants and BLURRED all over my phone....it was ****e.
For the RAZR, the BLUR is really background. It's the best I've seen, as far as implementation of bloatware, and resources not being heavily taxed.
I've basically just rooted, frozen the bloatware, loaded ADW launcher, and I'm REALLY close to a CM7 build, in terms of performance and features.

I'm glad I read your post. I was getting a little impatient with the development as well, but after reading what you had to say, it helps. Good things come to those who wait. Cliche but true. Thanks

Motorola also promised unlocked bootloaders. And left droid bionic buyers in the cold when they released the razr two months later. Some company.

Future of ICS for P500

Hi there
out of curiosity I am following the ICS development since I bought my Optimus T and to me as it looks it seems to be quite difficult to get an ICS build for this phone which is on a similar feature level as GB. Most builds I found run well but often lack here and there some important tools like camera or wifi sharing etc.
Now my question is how do you judge the future of ICS for this phone? It is not the most advanced model as I know it was cheap to buy. So I am not sure how much incentive developers have to get ICS running on this hardware.
And no I am complaining or crying out loud. I largely am glad that because of this forum I can run GB on this phone because T Mobile did not bother to update this on their own.
I am just curious if at one point ICS might work or if I should better in a half a year or so simply invest into a new phone

Most people say there won't be official ICS for our phone but developers in XDA are trying their best to get a perfect ICS rom work on our P500 just check the Original Android Development section and it'll help u...

Most features are working, it's green signal for everything which doesn't uses the OMX libraries.
I'm positive that those will be released soon, and we'll have perfectly fully functional ICS ROMs in a few months. The current ICS ROMs are suitable for daily use, though.
Still, there are many awesome GB based ROMs for our phone, and yeah I do think some features of ICS is awesome, I can manage without them too.
If you can, by all means, go ahead and buy a new phone, cause P500 has old and comparatively weak hardware now. But if you can't, there are a lot of ROMs which can get the best out of our P500, depending on our needs.
I'm thinking of getting Xperia U as a replacement ? What do you guys think ?
Future is doomed..enjoy the last android rom version on armv6..

the GB rom I am using is working great - it crashes few times on the phone but otherwise only the Radio is very noisy static.
So I am quite happy with it. The phone is pretty weak. At that time I did not want to pay more for a phone maybe I should have a well.
All I am using it for is calls tasks email and thats basically it. I wish the camera would be better because I take many mental notes with the cam.
I think one cannot expect more from it. But I noticed the limitations of Android with such rather weak phones as well and from my experience iOS runs a tick faster so the cheaper solution is sometimes with android with this phone quite annoying when using Swipe and having sometimes quite long type delays.
Ah well.
If the HQ videos part is fixed.... ICS on o1 is pretty awesome.

The devs ate working on it and it will never get a official update but the truth is that now that jelly bean is around the corner this phone will be fading away it does have a large community so probably won't become a legacy device. And you have people like me that started here and still browse the forums so yea

[Q] GALAXY S III - CON VS PROS - Please helphelp

I called T-Mobile and got them to let me get this sexy phone for $220. But before I get the phone I d to know the pros and cons of having this phone. I have already done all the initial research like specs and stuff. But I need the GS3 community to tell me what they like about the phone and what bugs them. I want you to list any little / specific thing. I am switching over from HTC Amaze 4G (sucky development) .... How Is the development in here? Want your guys opinions. You guys will be helping me a lot. I appreciate any help I can get.

Look around, plenty of development. Just about everyone here likes the phone, except the trolls. And even then most of them probably secretly like it too.
The phone is just awesome.
Now i don't recommend branded firmware but that's okay, it's android so you will probably put CM9 in there or any other custom ROM.
Btw, there is a forum for tmobile users, nothing here (international) will work with yours and you should ask them for opinions on performance, the international is a quadcore and US variants are dual core with different specs.
Goodluck.
Phone is awesome just great support here in XDA.
my only con is the Screen break easily, not that my phone's screen break but I've always read a thread every now and then and youtube videos that the screen breaks easily. So I handled my device gently so far didn't drop it ever since day 1
I absolutely love my SIII. Particularly like the speed of the processor and the quality of the screen. And the fact that JB is available (although there is only 1 official built ATM, for Poland; but the rest of the world will have an official build very shortly).
With most of my old phones, I have flashed custom ROM's within weeks of buying. But with this one, the Sammy ROM's are excellent and 5 months in I am still using them. I have tried a couple of custom's, but keep coming back to stock ROM's (obviously rooted, and occasionally custom kernels that support CIFS).
With regards to the development, and this forum, due to the popularity of the phone it is absolutely saturated with a myriad of people. There are lots of very talented devs, who contribute loads of really excellent work. But there are twice as many "noobs" (god I hate that word), who refuse to search, research, or learn before posting inane questions. Then there are twice as many as that of people who consider it their god given right to flame anyone for not being as geeky as they are.
Bottom line - the development for this phone is excellent, and full of talented, helpful people. You just have to hunt through a ton of cr4p to find them.
I have a iphone 3gs and now i have a sg3 for my birthday present
All i can say its the best phone,it tends to get hot when u playing games but i think its normal since its a quad core.
U can flash rom, install kernel and all that.I have my sg3 for about 1month plus.
At first i have no idea wads android, wads ics wads jelly bean. But slowly i pick it up along the way.
I have the latest siyal kernel with dual boot cristelo and romow rom
Best phone
There is no cons in SGS3, nothing which I can tell at the moment.
I love it at the moment..although the Galaxy Note 2 seems to be better with the 2GB RAM tho' ;p
Note:
I am not using any custom ROMs at the moment on my S3 even after several months after buying (pre-ordered in June )...I feel that its not yet necessary for the moment...
It was different as my old HTC Desire...I have to go for custom ROMs only after 2 weeks due to the lots and lots of weaknesses HTC Desire has and I need special scripts to solve it like EXT2SD, DALVIK2SD, etc. etc. etc.
Well just after i purchased my S3, i rooted it right away. I am officially addicted to flashing stuffs. •_•
I cant find any cons on an s3, it's an awesome phone (for now; give it like 6 months more, s4's gonna come) lol
PROS:
AMOLED screen is THE BOMB
QUADCORE, insane fast
2100mAh, longer battery life (a lot of you complain, idk how u guys use ur phone :| )
Yadayadayada )) you guys know the rest of the PROS

They complain because they use their phones hardcore. Plus it also depends on the rom they use. The last Tom I had before this one saved me so much battery life but with this new one I am plugged into a charger all day everyday. Just so I can use all the good features like Google now.
