Im using stock because I love it, but all of my recieved texts are coming in from an hour later, even though my phone says current time. So when i reply, my messages aren't at the bottom. I cleared data, rebooted, no go. Anyone know how to fix?
It was working fine until i went across the border from eastern timezone to central, then the phone has ever since had this bug...!

Roaming?
I never had this issue with my OG EVO. Why would it only be doing it on this one in the exact same area I used my OG?

I have the same problem, I never had this problem with my Evo. I did not take the OTA so I dont know if that fixed it.
Mine are three hours off. But my phone is roaming alot also. Stupid old Touch Pro 2 never roamed this much...

The only thing the OTA actually did was update a few apps... the phone doesn't reboot after finishing or anything. Doesn't change any of the radios or anything from what I noticed.
Would a factory reset fix this? I'm not roaming anymore and it's still displaying an hour later.

download "sms time fix" from the market like jaskwith said, set it to use phone time and BAM! your troubles are gone. this is an easy fix. no need for a hard reset
I recommend simply updating your Profile and PRL on your device. I had that happen to a friend and once I updated those two things for her, her problem went away.
I apologize as I'm certain this has been asked already. I just got my EVO LTE today. I'm using the Android xda app and I can't find any way to confine a search to a specific forum. When I type in my search, the app searches all forums at CDs!
When I'm away from a wifi signal, and I try to use any app that requires a data connection, I get a no data signal error.
I have tried switching to cdma only, but that does not work. When I check in settings, it also says, "no data connection".
So 1. What's up with that?
Bonus 2. Is there a way to search in the Android xda app and limit it to one forum?
Thanks.

Have you called sprint? Stupid question but you have mobile data turned on right?

I have a co-worker who just got this phone 2 days ago with the same problem. He called the store, told him what was going on and they said bring it back and they gave him a new one. Well it didn't fix the problem. Now they are saying its cuz Sprint is still working on making things work on ICS.. they have also said its because the update hasn't come to make it a working 4G LTE phone yet.. my friend is a EVO fan and is trying to stick it out, he has a 14 day buyers remorse period which he can exchange it for a different phone which he might go to the SGS2 .. any info would be great. Thanks on advance

Yes, mobile data is on. That's where it says, "no data connection". If you long press, you have the option for cdma only.
I haven't yet called Sprint because I figured this issue must have been posted here and someone had a fix. Also had fear Sprint would not know what the problem was. After the above post, I guess I have a good reason!

In the "mobile networks" settings try checking the "domestic data" option
Yep, domestic data is also on.

Apparently,a reboot thus morning seems to have fixed it.

I had the same problem and used ##3282# to delete profile and couldn't get it to reconnect. Come to find it is was because i was connected to an airave. I went up the street and updated the profile again and it started working instantly. Haven't had any more problems since.
Same problems here - I kept going into roaming mode with full bars, then out of roaming and zero bars. Couldn't use any mobile data or make calls.
Kept having to update the PRL - like every hour or so. Eventually, updating the PRL stopped fixing the problem. Resetting the phone got the mobile connection working again but it still wigs out after awhile and updating the PRL isn't helping. Only resetting makes it work. Ugh.
I'm on wifi a lot and the wifi radio seems to work like a champ.
Updating the PRL and Profile and then rebooting the phone solved the problem for me.
i am headed to the sprint repair center at lunch for this issue. It will work great as long as I do not turn on the wifi..as soon as it connects to a wifi source it drop the mobile network like it should..but when the wifi goes away it will not reconnect to mobile network..it will say "turning on" then just go to disconnected...sucks. Hope they can either fix it or provide a new one.
Im on 1.3 mean rom and havent updated anything.
I dont have overclock either.
If im in a call or something it juat randomly reboots. How would i solve this

This might sound crazy but I had the same issue. Mine was the otterbox commuter case was sticking to the power button a bit and powering off my phone and rebooting. Did you put a new case or something on it?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Dont use a case. Updated to 1.7 hopefully it stops

i kno its a pain in the a$$ but sometimes running an ruu back to stock and then rerooting the phone helps... worst case.. i did that when my evo 3d kept acting up like that.. and it helped...
Happened again today. Super annoying. If it happens again im going to sprint and demanding a new one

Try wiping everything including factory reset then reflash rom.
I did do that. Idk what the problem could be

Mine does this as well. I talked to HTC and they said if you don't LTE in your area, Sprint LTE that is but have Verizon LTE, your phone may be trying to latch on to the Verizon LTE, and since it can't quite connect it attempt to push more power to the LTE antenna to get it to connect, in doing so, it eventually pushes it pass a threshold and causes the phone to reboot. Apparently the issues seems to be popular in areas where there is no Sprint LTE and other LTE available. Sounds like a software issue on HTC's end, that will hopefully get fixed.
For now, you can try and go a *#*#4636#*#* and change your network to CDMA Only or EVDO Only and see if that keeps it from rebooting. (when you change to CDMA only, make a call right away otherwise you might not get incoming calls or texts)
I dont make many calls but the few calls i usually do make or receive are important and i would hate having to switch that. U think it will work if i turn off mobile network in the drop down settings???
Im in los angeles btw and i think verizon lte is live here

I have been traveling a lot in small town Missouri lately and for some reason my phone refuses to roam automatically. If I change the settings to "roam only MODE" it works fine. In "automatic mode" it only finds sprint networks. Anybody else have this issue? I am rooted and running Meanrom

No I never flashed any firmware. Meanrom was my first ICS rom. Clean rom before that

I've noticed on mine that I could have a strong roaming signal on Verizon, but if the phone even catches a whiff of a Sprint signal, it tries to switch to Sprint and data is lost. When it's doing that, roam only fixes it as you've noticed.

THat's what I am on. It seems it was better on 21085 and 21086. You can use QPST to change them, but again, I'm too lazy to do it.
Well if his phone roams fine in roam only mode, then the prl is fine.
What's likely happening is what Coal said. If your phone is on automatic, it tries it's hardest to stay on sprint at all times. Even if the signal is very very low, it will try to stay on it at all costs. Of course, we all know that's not how it should be, as that just kills the battery. I don't know if this is a rom issue or just a phone issue. You could try flashing back to a GB rom and see if it's any better.

It may be trying to stay on sprint but I literally was out of the sprint network for 3 hours and had no service, none. So I am leaning towards a ROM glitch or maybe radio but I dont know much about the radio part.

Maybe is is Android 4.0+ or the new firmware because I used to travel through a bad spot on the way to work and woudl roam, for a while now I just loose signal now even though I am on automatic.
So after working with Sprint with morning and messing with it all day I am at a lost and have taken to XDA to find the cure.
My LTE stopped working properly over the past, well ever since i got it actually, but ever since LTE went live in Chicago i have not been able to keep a mobile connection. I have been switching back and forth between my og EVO and my LTE. I went back to my LTE and long story short I can make calls and texts and the WiFi works but I have no mobile network. It shows the bars but has no 1x or 3g or 4g icon. I have had Sprint reset the phone and re-active it numerous times and still nothing. Anyone have an idea how to get it back? even by going through ##3828# ?
on a side note, when Sprint re-activated the phone and reset it when i booted the phone back on it did NOT do a hand free activation.
Please Help
EDIT: also it won't do Firmware, PRL, Profile updates....
Call Sprint. Have them update your profile manually. Reboot. Update prl and pri

I did, my phone will not update PRL or PRI, it just loads and loads. And Sprint never can help me I have called today.
I just got a glimpse of 3G!! So I opened Titanium Backup and i got this "message" (see attached) I clicked "restore the previous ID" and my 3G icon went on for about 10 seconds and then went away again and has not reappeared.
I am also having this problem as of today...just randomly happened....Just keeps "Looking for Service" wifi works, but nothing else does.....hmmmmmm
Mine though has no bars, just an x above the bars....won't call/text/anything....hmmmmm
Mine does this occasionally. Especially while using WiFi. X over signal, looking for service. I started a thread but didn't get a reply. For me, rebooting the phone restores the signal. It hasn't happened for a while so hopefully fixed itself somehow.

I have an S2 and i noticed over the past day that it randomly drops service but picks it right back up while driving around town. (Chicago Suburb).
Rebooting does nothing for me though
EDIT: on the phone with Sprint at the moment, we shall see how good they are.

Just got off the phone... all they wanted to do was a profile update. Data Profile reset and then a Factory Reset.
All of which I have tried before. Finally she told me I had to take it into a Sprint service center because their is something physically wrong with the phone because the hands free activation would never activate.
READ!!!!!! ----> She mentioned something under her breath that I don't think she wanted me to hear. She asked if I was in Illinois. When I said yes I am in the Chicago Suburb area she quietly said "oh.. there is an outage in your area" HMMMM Interesting.

You sir are a genius. First i went into ##3282## and entered my MSL and reset it there and then I went into ##786# and reset my phone. It took a while but finally booted back up and went to the Hands Free Activation. Mind you, I have had 5 different employees for Sprint attempt to get my phone to do the hands free activation and none of them could.
