trying to get csipsimple working on my optimus V
Using IPKall, Sipsorcery, googlevoice (for call forwarding), and csipsimple.
this setup works perfectly on my Viewsonic G Tab (running calkulin/clemsyn combo for BL1.2)
the same setup on my optimus V fails to get the audio working. I can send and receive calls fine and the other party can hear me fine, but I cannot hear them.
posted an issue on the developer's site (csipsimple).
his wiki states that certain phones' audio stacks (or audio drivers) get twisted around by certain manufacturers. (apparently someone with the Samsung Intercept on virginmobile had to downgrade to Android 2.1 with a special kernel for his audio issue to work).
so anyone know of a cleaner kernel/rom that will allow for the audio to work?
I'm on bumblebee 2.4, but also tried harmonia 1.3, CM7, and stock rom. None of those allow me to hear the other party (either on normal, or bluetooth, or speakerphone).
any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Csipsimple worked flawlessly on stock froyo rom and on mik cm7 based on froyo kernel. I use it everyday.
Since I upgraded to official gingerbread, however, I am seeing lots of force closes. Audio is ok when it works.

thanks for the reply.
but I think the p500 (seeing that it actually got an official gingerbread update) is different from the optimus V in its rom setup and kernel builds.
i'm still hoping to be able to use csipsimple on this optimus V...

Hey,
I had the stock 2.1 on my vibrant.
I upgraded a few days ago to Vibrant AOSP ish JK2 1.1 Official FROYO (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=832532).
After the upgrade I had 3 issues:
1. I have an fm trasnmitter in my car, and I'm connecting the phone to it. Works for music but doesn't work for calls. It worked before, and my earphones also work.
2. Couldn't get to recovery mod through rom manager.
3. the GPS is still not working.
It's funny that I currently more upset about issue 1, because I already accepted the fact that my GPS will never work + I think I'll stick to this rom in case I'll find a way to make the audio out work for phone calls.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you.
Try reflashing the rom. Go back to stock again, and repeat the whole process.
+1 to dj's idea
Has anyone managed to get the phone to work with the Ford Sync?
It pairs fine with it but when I try to use the phone, there is no sound coming out of the speakers at all.
i have exactly the same problem. it worked fine, but now its connected and everything works except the sound from audio
have anybody solved this problem? i have changed roms many times, so i dont know if this problem is due this change...
i have HTC HD2 android rom cooked by PPC_SHIFTPDA GINGERBREAD (boyppc). but it worked with this rom before
i dont know what i should do...
Which ROMs are you guys using?
Mention the ROM's you use dude!!
hi,
it is BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA GINGER 2.3.4 CM7 Sense.s V34
but i tried V16 now and nope again. i have ford c-max bluetooth and voice kit.
thx for reply
try on stock rom, I also had some bt audio issues with custom roms but on stock it works just fine
I have CM7 Trigger Redux build 13 with glitch kernal installed. For awhile now I've routed my audio to my car with an audio cable to listen to pandora. Since I've put this new rom and kernal on, I've noticed that there seems to be intermittent crackle with the audio which seems to only occur when the audio outputted through the cable. I've downloaded voodoo control app and played with the settings but nothing seems to be working to remove the crackle. Is there anyone else facing the same issue and is there a fix? Thanks
I have this same problem too, but I use a headset. Its only when I use a custom kernel (I believe) that I will get this problem. Since you installed Trigger CM7, he has a custom kernel in place, I suggest switching to CM7 nightlies to try the stock kernel.
Thats too bad, I really liked this rom. Would it be possible to simply flash the stock CM7 kernel on Trigger CM7?
hzm i just flashed my phone with this one and I haven't tested in my car yet. I'll do that and report to you guys soon.
Before I say anything, this is the best ROM I've used for any of the devices I've owned. Simply for the fact that I would rather fix it than flash with something else!
Anyway, the problem is my phone no longer works with my car for media streaming through bluetooth. Worked fine prior to flashing with ICScrewd 2.01. It does pair and the phone functions works otherwise.
Is this particular to this ROM or something else? This is a very stripped down build, which is why I liked it.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Sarelon
I can add one thing to this, for the first 3 days and 4-6 reboots after upgrading to 2.0.1 (Flashed 2.0, and then the 2.0.1 upgrade later) anytime I would connect my stereo headset (RF-MAB2) the phone app would FC, I would lose phone signal, data, and bluetooth/wifi. They would all come back 30s-1m later, but upon reconnecting the bluetooth headset and hitting play on an audio file it would play, but no audio would come through the headset or the phone speaker. On the other hand my Jawbone Icon connected and worked just fine at all times, no crashing of the phone app or anything else.
One problem though, when I decided to go and capture a log file of it happening .... it ceased to happen, and hasn't happened since, with or without the alogcat running. I'm completely baffled but do hope we can fix this so it doesn't happen in the future.
i think it might be a 2.3.6 issue but i could be wrong. were you on 2.3.4 when it was working?
I experience this same problem with my bt and my alpinew900 rich has tons of bugs anyways...

So are my options non-existent? Will it be supported soon, is there any ROM close to what you built with BT HID support or am I going back to stock?
Again, fantastic work on this ROM.

It's kernel dependent

Hello, I have an Atrix 4G on AT&T. Rooted , stock rom and kernel. I rooted to make minor tweaks only.
I have the MW600 Bluetooth headset by SE, which has a display for track info.
The thing is that the atrix does not seem to support this feature. I tried google music, poweramp, songbird and the stock music player and none of them work. So is this hardware or software related? If its hardware, then theres nothing I can do. If its software though, is there anything
i can do that does not involve flashing custom roms? If that IS the only option, tell me which rom and i might just do it. Thanks again.
its software. i have sony ericsson liveview and besides the connection issues everything worked perfect. you could try another rom like cm7 or nottachtrix. it should support it anyhow.
