I have only found the mugen batteries and there are some cheap 1300/1500 batteries on ebay. but I haven't seen anything with 2xxx capacity.
I am using a Mugen 1800, there are details and photos somewhere on the forums that I posted.

Thanks for the link. I think I might try the 1800mah extended battery when I get a chance. I think the TP2 is only 1500mah. I'm going for the big guy. Here is the link for the 1800 http://www.mugenbattery.com/htc-touch-pro2-standard-power-battery.htm

I have been alternating between the stock battery and the TP2 battery (which I got off ebay for cheap). The TP2 battery is thicker than stock and will warp your battery cover if you charge the batter in your phone with the cover on (happened to me once already). Now when I use the TP2 battery I just leave the cover off.
Also, I've conditioned my stock battery and get a solid 12+ hours out of it with a significant amount of use.

yes it lasts me about a day and a half i came from a g1 with a 2300 battery and i can say it is worth buying the stock battery gives you 5.2 talk time and the mugen one gives you 7.2hrs talk time its a big recomendation for the my touch slide.
wheres the froyo? we need froyo!
I also had a 2300 battery too with my g1 if its about the same life without the huge hump ill definitely get one then. Thank you for the insight.

Just info, i've just bought seidio 1750mah extended battery for htc hero cdma on ebay for 49usd. And it fits perfectly, no gap at the battery cover just like stock battey.
Today i use it for the first time and it performs almost 60% than stock battery.
Seidio maybe slightly pricy but i used its product on my blackberry storm and didnt dissapoint me also.

Was wondering how the Mugen battery was working out for, thinking of getting one. I know there were issues with other batteries warping the battery door, any signs of this and how much better is battery life. Thanks

mytouch slide extended battery
Alright boys and girls i have tried tested and found that the evo battery works grate and fits well into the my touch slide, currently I am using a 3500 mAH
you can find the link here ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290469686906#ht_4325wt_849
its the cheapest i have found and to top it off you get two battery's a charger and a evo back plate (not that you need the backplate).
The only down side i have now is i need to make or find a decent backplate for it and its not as streamline.
Feel free to let me know if you want pictures or any other fallow up or questions on it ill be more then happy to answer. i hope this helps.
also if any of you have any ideas on a decent back plate or a mod I am all ears.
Ordered a two pack of 1800mAh hero batteries from amazon.com Saturday and they arrived today! The two pack w/charger was less than $40. Fully charged both, and will be doing a lot of conditioning the next few days. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Here's a nice website which does a head to head comparison between various battery manufacturers for different phones. OEM batteries seem to perform closest to their advertised ratings: batteryboss dot org
Mugen offering MT3GS Batteries
Found this link,
mugen-power-batteries.com/t-mobile/t-mobile-mytouch-3g-slide.html
Looks like they have a 1800 and 3200 that comes with a back cover. Anyone try either of these yet. Looks promising.
Sounds good to me, the only problem I have is with the case. They dropped the ball in terms of styling. Looks horrible.
no bottom microphone hole in the case either.

Promo code: SUMMER11 is 15% off...
excellent! and I actually like the case....
looks terrible. instead of putting in a simple fat brick they should make one that is rises a few mm over the battery compartment and then spreads out wide down the length of the phone. I're sure it would take more effort to develop, and more expensive, but then i'd consider buying one.
Woah...did not see this 4000 mAH version on their site. Awesome.

yea, their other cases had been pretty good. but I think 4000 mAh may be worth it to never worry about battery life again and use the phone for all it can do

Ugly Ugly stuff
Ok even the Evo 4G battery back didnt look that bad damn ! I think I will stick with my Otterbox Defender and extra charging cables
Third party 'extended' batteries are often greatly exaggerated in terms of capacity anyways. I wouldn't waste my money.
OMG, can it be more uglier than that? I'm not into these extended bat. Beside, USB chargers are everywhere, and most people have access to a laptop/desktop to plug in anyway.
Makes it look like a door wedge lol

thanks. any idea if htc will be releasing an extended battery? seidio doesn't match oem, but as the best third party retailer i've found, they're the only ones that double the mAh, after discounting their exaggerated limits
wow 4,000 mah? battery should last a week!!
I'm just disappointed that it did not come with a case with a kickstand that will take the 4000mah battery. Hopefully it will be cheaper on Amazon.

Looks good! Not like the Seidio cover (yuk). I will post more when I receive mine in the mail and run a comparison.
Not bad for 27.99 if the battery is what its advertised at.
UPDATE 10/3/11
Received a replacement from Gorilla Gadgets due to battery contact issues and a cracking cover...BE WARNED, THE NEW REPLACEMENT IS A "Wedge" COMMON TO THE eBay SPECIALS! THE BATTERY IS ALSO SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER (in size) BUT A STICKER PULL REVEALS 1650x2 = 3300MAH (less than advertised!) NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!
Man I don't like that hump at all!
I still think that the eBay extended battery doors look the best.

Mike! Long time no talk to! I ordered an ebay one for additional comparison. Can't afford nor do I want the Seidio (maybe just the battery)

Glad you hit me up on GTalk bro!
Yea I'm not a fan of the Seidio door or price tag either. The battery though is probably the best extended available. Seidio battery with eBay door would be the setup that I would like.
I didn't use my extended battery for my Evo 4G enough for me to justify buying one for the 3D though. I have 2 Galilio 2000mah ( more like 1300mah) already and 2 Anker 1930mah on the way. I'll just keep a couple extra batteries with me if I ever think I'll be away from a charger long enough to need one. I'm using WTSB 1.3 Rom and get around 20 hours Up and 8 hours Awake with my normal usage. That is more than enough for me 95% of the time..
I have a car charger in each of my 3 vehicles, a wall charger and dock at home, and a wall charger at work. Very rarely do I need more battery life than 1 full charge.

I read that as well but the person didnt back up how they know it was only 2600mah. Only way to tell is to pull stickers or test.
It is ugly, but compared to the "door wedge" from Seidio and the fact that I can put my TPU case on it (with a little modification) its a winner for me. I have the cheapo eBay cover coming as well with the "no chance in hell" 3500mah battery. Pics will follow!
http://www.expansys.com/expansys-extended-battery+back-cover-for-htc-evo-3d-3400-mah-220468/
Just ordered one of these from Expansys UK, it looks exactly the same as the Gorilla, without the branding sticker, I will be interested to see if it is the reported 3400mah especially for £11.99!
I actually like the gorilla backing. It looks better than all I've seen so far. At least the whole thing is not a brick.

Yeah me too, I think its more in keeping with the design of the phone.
I'm hoping maybe I can modify a rugged case to accommodate it like I did with my Defender and HD2.

I just got it this afternoon and I am very happy. The pics are very deceiving as this back cover isnt nearly as big as it appears. I will try to take some pics later and upload. Now to test the battery life. I did a sticker pull and found each battery has a 1700 on it! 1700 X 2 = 3400mAH as advertised. Excellent.

I'm looking to buy an extended battery for this phone right now online and curious which is the best and has the most life. Any recommendations would be great.
I think it would be the powerskin. It uses the original battery and a1500 mAh battery. So two batteries total.

I did the same thing, phone is large enough without it. I bought a Mugen extended battery and it should be here soon. If it works like the one I had for my 3g slide, it should be fine. I always liked Mugen batteries. Got mine off Ebay
Heyo peeps
So here's the deal.
Battery life is pretty good, no question. But I finally got the itch to start hammering this phone for mega hours.
So first I got the Zero Lemon of course.
Battery is crazy awesome. No question. The case is... Almost acceptable. I love the overall design and protection. I hate the feel of the rubber outside, the screen protector (which I keep on for added Peace of mind and water resistance), and OMG the port covers.... So awful. The buttons are pretty terrible too.
And of course, the phone is insanely bulky and unmanageable now, but I knew that.
I LOVE my wife's otterbox defender on her stock note 3. The first thing I tried was to see if I could mod a defender to fit the zl battery. As I'm sure yall know, the answer is hell no.
So what I'm wondering is if there is some other REAL extended battery that might fit into some modded defender or similar case.
I've got one of those eBay "4500 mah" batteries that is the same size as stock. But since it weighs less than the stock battery, I'm certain the battery life is gonna suck. I'll be trying it this weekend for giggles. But Yea. When I sat REAL extended I mean one of those hyperion or anker 6400mah jobbies. Or the zl, natch.
So, any input? To recap, I'm looking for a battery that can fit a modded case that is good, preferably a otterbox defender, or similar. Or I'm looking for a GOOD case that is known to fit the zl, hyperion, anker, whatever.
Thanks!

Yea, i did see that.
I've actually got the slim armor and rather like it. But unless I'm missing something, he's got the case in such a state that it could hardly be considered "protective" any longer...
Thanks for the heads up though
