No, nothing sticks through reboot.
But, once you have it installed, make a titanium backup of it. Then, when you reboot and reroot, you can just restore the newer version of swype.

Help, I downloaded some fonts and when I select one they don't display even after restarting my phone. I don't have any custom ROM or anything...Why won't they work?

Are you rooted? I am not sure if you have to be rooted for it to work. I wouldn't assume you have to be rooted though.
You went into the settings after installing them and selected which one you want through the sounds and display/fonts menu?

If you have OCLF installed then you need to use its Install Fonts feature to install fonts - otherwise nothing will change in the system.
I had exactly the same issue and figure it out literally few hours ago

In one month? I have had mine for close to a year on my old hero. In fact, it has a better version than on my brand new evo 3d.

Stuck on 2.5 all day? You fail!
I don't think this can be done. You have to disable the preloaded Swype which you can't do without root. AFAIK anyway.
He probably half installed the beta and then is using the default swype.

I know everyone's making fun of you because you didn't know our phones came with Swype but I totally understand - I had to check the manual to figure out how to turn it on.
isn't there already swype? Actually we get 2 swype keyboards and theres one in the market called SlideIt. thats what i prefer
I can't install anything from the market and it's getting really annoying. Every app says my device is incompatible. I've tried wiping market data, wiping cache, wiping dalvik, reinstalling gapps from ROM manager and nothing works.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just recently got an app of mine (cut the rope) saying it's incompatible with my atrix. Does anyone know what the default dpi is? I haven't changed it recently so I don't know why all of a sudden it would be incompatible with this game though...oh and the game this works btw.

Restored to 240 via LCD density and now the market works (did that on purpose so after a reboot it will be back to 220). Anyone know how to avoid the market going all wonkey like that with the density changed?

the market is programmed to check your phone's density, i don't believe there's a known workaround yet.

I had the same problem with the market and switched back to the old. Alien Rom has a zip for the old market available and make sure you freeze Market Updater 1.0 with Titanium or else it will keep updating back to the new.
Can somebody please help. Everytime I install and app or uninstall and app my phone gets very slow for a few minutes. Can anyone tell me why and if there is a solution to fix it thank you
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
cosidering your phone is reconfiguring memory when you are doing either or, thats most likely why. when doing either of those your phone is thinking a little bit harder than normal. when installoing an app, you are also using a decent amount of straight data which could why. but it shouldnt be more than a few seconds. you might be over thinking it, lol

Umm that's pretty normal when it is in the process of installing and uninstalling. Try rebooting if it does happen for a few mins mine just does it during but not for a few minutes.

Task killers are one of the main reasons people's phones slow down. They kill system processes and services which cause the phone to lag. There are some where you can set the tasks to be killed and ones to allow, but there are some that you won't see that will get killed anyway.

You couldn't pay me to use that. Try system tuner, much better utility and replaced 5 or 6 apps with one.

Does this happen to anyone? It's not all the time but every now and then it happens and seems to happen more often lately after I flashed MeanRom v4.5.
I'm on HBoot 1.4 with s-off.
I would do a factory reset it should fix it

I did a factory reset and wipe before I installed this ROM though.
No just do a factory reset and it should be fixed

But I'm telling you I already did. Are you saying I should do another factory reset and re-install the ROM?

This is a long shot, but do you have any other launchers installed (even if you are not using them as your default)? Back when I was on Gingerbread, I would get sense force closes when I had other launchers installed that went away when I removed the other launcher. I don't have this on ics.
