Ok I searched for this and I really didn't get the answer. So I have GPS turned on and my fancy widget pro and beautiful Widgets and even go weather can not find my location and continue to say to turn on GPS I have uninstalled and reinstalled the apps several times and they still don't work. I also get a lock on my GPS in maps so not sure what's up. Please if anyone can help that would be great.
Try going into Fancy Widget and setting your location manually.
That worked for me.
i don't have that problem with my TB but I do have it with my iconia . Just uncheck geolocation and manually set where you are

For some reason my weather widget when i'm at home always says 14 or current location, not the city name anymore. it has the correct name when i travel if i toggle gps and update the weather but never at home. is the anyway way to reset it clear the saved locations? I already tried the HTC weather widget in setting but all cache clearing options and the likes were grayed out. thanks for any help.
Quite common problem for users .... HTC and Verizon deny the problem exists though. I don't know of a definitive fix.
I figured out what it is, for me atleast. I use advanced task killer as im sure many eris users do (i know they say you dont need it but my eris can get sluggish with lots of apps running). I tried just not closing weather and it still gave me the issue, then on a whim I tried not closing the clock app as well. Voila! problem solved. It updates when I change position and the only apps I have running when idling are clock, weather, and atk.
That should solve it, just don't close out clock and weather and it should work.

For right now I wouldn't go force killing ANYTHING that was preinstalled on the phone when you got it. HTC Sense works in odd ways. As for me I only force kill apps that I put on the phone myself and I don't seem to have as many problems now (lockscreen lockups, jittery touch screen, touch screen not working).
My Animated Weather won't seem to turn on since I installed Cookies Home Tab. I have the latest one and my animated weather still won't work. If anyone can help, it would be great. Thanks.
Open CoOkie's Home Tab Editor and clik on Miscellaneous settings ,then scroll down and you will see Other settings and make Enable sun rays. Good Luck
ive tried that still doesn't work..
and my weather toggle won't work either, it just stays on off everytime j click it
mine did this too..
but i found out why...
it has nothing to do with weather OR with CHT .. it had to do with my connections host.. it was reading a proxy instead of TmoUS server.. so no real connection.. and no real connection meant no gps.. and no gps meant..... you guessed it.. no location specific download area.. soooooo no weather..
so the reason there was no option to turn it on was because it had no clue where it was... go to the weather panel on sense.. and i bet its not on or not accurate there too.. but if you create a new location it will give you weather for that location immediately..
to fix this go to windows/settings/connections/connections/advanced/select networks
and make sure its set to use your carrier..
see if that works. It did for me, fixed it in seconds.
well, my weather works. it shows my location and everything, it's just my weather animation that doesn't work, i can't turn on the weather animation toggle. i click it, but it just stays off, but thanks for the help.
Are you using a custom ROM with CHT built in? If do, I would suggest to reinstall CHT.
Hello. I've installed ICS 4.0.3 (I9100XXLPS), and then rooted it. Everything works fine except for two things: Chainfire3D and lock screen AccuWeather.
In Chainfire3D I can't use per-app settings, because, for some reason, they won't work. I've tried reinstalling it, still no luck.
As for AccuWeather lock screen display, it shows 0.0°C most of the time, unless I go to Dispay Settings, and disable, then re-enable Weather. This fixes it for some time, after which it goes back to 0.0°C. The problem is only with the lock screen one, desktop widget shows normal temperature all the time.
Are these known issues? Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have this problem too. The only solution is to disable weather from lock screen. There is no fix for this issue at the moment.
I've managed to make it work on my Galaxy S II (don't know for now long it will work ):
- I had the accuweather widget and accuweather lock screen enabled.
- Go to Applications on Settings, All applications
- Clear data and Force stop the app called "Accuweather Weather Daemon"
- Clear data and Force stop the app called "Accuweather.com"
- Turn on locating services
- Remove and add again accuweather widget on the home screen. It will automatically use the location service and show the right information.
After that the accuweather widget on the lock screen shows the right temperature as well
Anyone having the home screen weather/clock widget not update your current location? and yes it is set to use current location in the settings. Is there anyway to clear the widget data?
I posted about the same issue some days ago.
Finally I got it fixed. I had noticed that each time I went to the clock app and open the desktop clock tab, it updated the current location. So I looked around and found that it was possible to have the weather on the lockscreen, what I did. I also went to settings>applications management>all and force weather main to stop.
I don't know which stage has been efficient but now my location is correctly updated each hour. I think it's worth a try.

I know it's an old thread, but I had the same problem and it got me on the right track. You need to have WiFi location enabled if you're connected to WiFi.
Just installed the Google Now widget. It's empty and doesn't show even the weather. Do you have the same problem?
Mine didn't show anything until I opened Google Now. Now it is showing just the weather.
Interesting it works nicely on my Nexus 7. On my Hox+ I see just the traffic nothing else.

On my DNA, the widget only shows the weather card, but I have 3 more cards when I open Google Now itself....
Mine is blank too, just shows the search bar
The Google Now widget shouldn't show the search bar. You might have just put on the Google Search widget instead of the Google Now widget.
Check that your weather card is set to always show in your Google Now settings, so you'll have at least that on your widget if you usually don't have any other cards.
If it says there is nothing to display, try tapping the widget, and it will take you to Google Now. If you immediately exit, that should be sufficient to refresh the widget and make things appear.
Thus far, I've seen weather, sports scores, and calendar events show up.
I have the same problem. It was working for a couple hours when I first installed the JellyBean update, but now the widget is empty always. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling google search, still nothing.
I've noticed that it will occasionally be blank, but opening up Google Now itself always seems to resolve the issue almost immediately. How long does it stay empty?
