I have used Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Headphones for ages.
My latest model is:
SE MW600
http://www.pocket-lint.com/review/4596/sony-ericsson-mw600-bluetooth-review
Its got great battery life.
Connects to the Tablet and my Phone at the same time, so when a call comes in on my phone i can answer it direct from the unit.
Charges using a MicroUSB socket, same as many phones.
Has a 3.5mm (headphone) socket so you could use your own headphones, or indeed connect it up to any device that take an Aux In (I.E. Stereo, Car Audio System ETC)
I am wondering about the same problem.

I've read they have horrible reception outdoors. The fine print in the manual says it needs to be above waist outdoors to get reception. This is a deal breaker for me because I like to listen to music while mowing my lawn. I am not going to buy an armband for my phone either.

I'm using the MW600 as well. Really nice headphones.
Just got a MW600. It's nice. Only thing I don't like is the supplied headphones don't have a lanyard and there is no lock on it to prevent accidental button pressing (something they had on earlier models).
I just got nokia 950i and these are great

I too bought the Sony Ericsson Bluetooth, to go with my sport earphones at the gym and it works wonderfully.
I'm assuming you want stereo bt headphones. I have the sony dr-bt160as. The motorola s9 hd or s10 works pretty well too. They got good reception even if the tf is in your backpack. The headset is designed for sports so they don't shake when you move.

Mine are great! I really like them. I get fine reception with the phone in my pocket. Have had zero problems or bad reception through the BT. I would definitely recommend.
The MW600 range is great. I walked halfway up my hallway with partitions between and it only began to cutout at around 10-15 meters. If in the same room I have no issues whatsoever.
I have the Motorola S305 Bluetooth stereo headphones/headset which I use for my phone and they seem to work well with the Transformer.
I can't post a link yet, but you can pick them up at Amazon for $36.25 right now...
I have both a Motorola S9 and a Lubix NC1. Both also work well with my myTouch 4G and my Transformer, although the Lubix's phone audio seems to have a slight echo to whomever is on the other end of my line. The S9 is perfect.

Any recommendations for earphones with mic? This is mainly to listen to music and chat on Skype or similar applications.
I just got these for my EVO3D to use on my commutes to and from work because I was getting frustrated with blue tooth earbuds. They work great, awesome tone and base for a set of ear buds. Mic works great and everyone I call says it is way better than the blue tooths I have had in the past (everything from a $20 - 100 set).
They seal up your ears pretty good though, so awesome to block out the sounds around you but also makes you want to talk louder so that takes a little getting used to.

Thanks for the tip. I have added this to my...

I have and use these:
http://www.amazon.com/Bose-TriPort-...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1325345884&sr=1-1
Bit pricey (Not compared to other good headphones, though), but the sound quality and mic are awesome for talking or music. That and Bose has a one-year warranty. Comes with the headphones, a leather case, 6 replacement buds, and three 3.5mm-to-2.5mm adapters. Plus they're Bose, and Bose has a pretty great track record with audio. Got mine in July and they still work awesome. 5 months is pretty much a record for my headphones, wire always gives out and the left bud fails, even though I don't listen to music especially loud, so these are pretty durable. The price is justified, but if it's too steep, the ones Indiscriminate posted look good, or get a pair from Walmart or something and that'll run you about 18ish.

I bought these for my htc sensation a week ago and they work perfectly... however when I plug them into my prime, the kilpsch app doesn't seem to work (pushing the button does nothing)... honeycomb compatability issue?
I was thinking of buying these and then found this thread when I went to see if there was any that _actually_ work on the ATP.
So, did anyone _actually_ use these things on their tablet and verify that it works in place of the onboard mic?

Ok, i just plugged them in... and tested the mic with the sound recorder. The mic works fine, becoming default over the built in tablet mics, however, the click control (on the mic) does not work, even with the klipsch app installed.
I also noticed that the headphone plug sits out about 1mm from the jack, perhaps responsible for the not working clicker?
You are asking about the klipsch image s4a... aren't you?
I was referring to the J5M JBuds higher up (sorry I should've been more specific) but hey, if it works, $99 is fine by me as long as it works decently and has some durability.
My use case is simple: turning my tablets screen off makes the mic go crazy with noise, or at least it does in TeamSpeak 3; sound recorder is too soft for me to tell for sure with my voice but I think it does as well. So I need something that I can use while the screen is off and still be able to have headphones/earbuds to listen with.

If you don't mind wires I use turtle beaches. You need the dock or a usb port to power them though.
http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/xbox-gaming-headsets/ear-force-dx12.aspx
V-Moda Vibrato's is what I have. They. Are. Awesome.
http://v-moda.com/in-ear/
I can now verify the J5M's work fully.
How I tested: speaking in teamspeak while listening on my PC. Tapped the glass over the mic for reference. Exited teamspeak, plugged in the earbuds, reconnected, and listened via my PC - then tapped the mic under the glass, then tapped the inline mic on the earbudds wire to prove it worked. Sound recorder would've worked too.
Yippiee!

I had the original S-9's, and they paired well - sounded good too. Watch the knock-offs tho, they are NOT the same, and they won't pair well,or sound good either!

For sure, tons of knock offs on eBay. I got the S-9's but don't use them as much as I used too. They pair well and can be a decent distance from the phone and still pick up signal. If you have a large melon, they may be a bit tight and uncomfy though.

The difference between the knockoffs and the legit ones is the buttons. My S9 has super sensitive buttons, you can just lightly press it and it will stop, skip tracks etc. The knockoffs you have to physically press the buttons firmly. It worked but felt very uncomfortable mashing a button while something is in your ear. My coworker swooped up the knock offs for like $25 on ebay. Also mine came with a Blue Tooth adapter for an ipod, works excellent.
Is there a specific reason you want in ear headphones?
Id say pick up a set of over the ear bluetooth headsets. I had a set of motorola s805's they were good. also had a set of jaybird sb2's which were sick.
Im now rocking a set of the new Beats by dre bluetooth headphones.
If you are stuck on in ear headsets check out jaybird they have an entire bluetooth product line with great support and service.
But i really think you should try over the ear (Your hearing will thank me later)

Then i would definetly recommend Jaybird headphones as they are specifically engineered towards athletes and runners. They have a brand new set of freedom headphones which although I have yet to try look very well built and thought out.
Edit: Besides they have a sweat warranty thats pretty brilliant. Good service from these guys...

I have a pair of the S9 and S10 Motorola headphones. I bought the S10s as an 'upgrade' but that turned out to not be the case, unfortunately. They weren't as loud and the sound just didn't seem as 'full'. Really the only positive thing about them is that they NEVER cut out on me, and had much better range. My S9s are more comfortable, louder, sound better, but they did cut out at certain angles(probably because I mainly used them with my phone in my pocket instead of on an arm band as recommended).
I just got a pair of the JayBird Freedom headphones for Christmas and they are definitely the best way to go and worth the extra money. The sound and fit is probably as good as you can possibly get with bluetooth in-ear headphones, and of course they have the sweat-proof warranty. I would recommend getting the JayBird's over EVERYTHING else, especially if you're using them for running and working out, as I do. You won't regret it!

It's not the same cord but it is a usb to some small connection. You can plug it into any 5 volt source like pc or HTC's plug.
I have those headphones use it for soccer practice, gym, and work. I have had no problem with them at all the only thing not a major issue for me I had to take off the red pads on the inside since my sweat was un-gluing them. I jump and run with them with no problem in fact its the opposite from slipping out I have to take them off for a second because it pushes in me ears at times.
I got a pair of S9HD a year ago and they shorted out, I called Motorola and RMA'd them, a week later I had brand new S10HD in my hands. Like the S9HD these things are not the most comfortable things in the world and do not mesh well with sunglasses unless you flip them over and wear them R in left ear L in right. I have no problems with pairing and the battery life seems really good, better than the S9HD for sure.
Would I recommend to buy? no, there are other products on the market that work and fit just as well or better for much cheaper.
Hello everyone, Need some advice on picking up a pair of headphones that I can use to listen to music and also make calls. Apart from the Klipsch made specifically for Android, is there anything else out on the market? I really wanted the bose but read on a few sites that they dont full function correctly. I have iPhone buds that I can listen to music but the mic does not work but work fine with my Nexus S.

They work great with my Note.
Thanks, I am looking for standard earbuds not those noise cancellation.

They Jaybird Freedom Sprint has Apt-X. I use this one. It has very crappy battery life at 4.5 hours. But then again it is targeted only for working out and so is more than sufficient for a workout session hell even two days off Strictly workout sessions.
I know a LG representative that has the tones and all bias aside he loves them he's a boxer. When he trains he says they do not move even when he sweats. And they also have phenomenal battery life, but for me I would just use the J birds if I was strictly doing workouts.
If you are looking for something that is to replace your headphones and you want to go wireless all around, then I would recommend the Bluedio R+ bluetooth headphones. They are apt X bluetooth 4 NFC and has a slot for microSD card so if your phone is dead and use a micro SD card for your music you can just pop it in the headphones and be good to go! All of this for under $100. Its roughly under a hundred if you order from China or you can get them on Amazon and ebay for about $120 to $140.
I ordered mine from http://m.aliexpress.com/item/1174967490.html
Mine are on the way so I have not tested it personally but if you read all reviews about them everyone has something good to say about it. They are apparently the best in their class for the money if you like to listen to music with alot of bass.

One thing I forgot to mention about the J bird freedom sprint is that it is the second version the one right before the blue but X. The new ones are horrible in terms of sitting in your ears that is the number one thing you read about them. This sounds post to be excellent and so the battery life at about eight and a half hours but what is the point if they can't even fit in your ears comfortably while you're working out.
However the freedom Sprint version which is roughly 80 dollars, is the most comfortable earphones that I have tried. Even the call mic quality is good. They do not fall out if you use the honeycomb shape inserts, which taper off at the end in the same shape as that little groove in your ear right above the ear hole...and it just clicks right in

Not used any BT 4.0 headphones/receivers yet, but been very happy with the Samsung HS3000 for more than a year now. BT 3.0 but with Apt-X, love the versatility of being able to use different headphones with it - IEM for exercise/when portability is of paramount importance, full-sized cans when wanted, or even connecting to stereos etc via 3.5mm-3.5mm cable. Can be had really pretty cheap now too, around the $30USD mark.
FYI, list of Apt-X gears here: http://www.csr.com/technology-solut...wered-by-csr-aptx/bluetooth-stereo-headphones

The problem with the Jaybirds is that they care about sound quality, so the openings where the sound comes out are really large for a pair of ear buds. This in turn makes it hard to find comfortable tips that fit in your ears.
The tips that come with the buds are all too large to sit comfortably and they all feel like they are going to fall out (though they never actually have)
I recently went to target and found some foam tips in the bargain bin. I forced them over the tips of the bluebuds and it solved all the problems. They fit great and I never feel like it is going to fall out.

Haha, and all this time I thought the problem with the JayBirds was the price. lol

wow, those anker's looks really nice. great battery life, a good design, and a company I trust because I've used their products with no issues.
might jump on these, just picked up some LG Tones+ from my work for super super cheap tho...
I just picked up a pair of the LG tone + from Best Buy price matched to Amazon and I wouldn't be happier they are bt 3.0 I believe and have apt-x

They can be pricey, but the battery lasts up to 8 hours, comes with a lifetime warranty, and they are really quality built.
Even the packaging is impressive. Sweat proof.
I'm telling you, I'd buy them again, and I'm a cheapskate.
you guys are right about the LG Tones+. They are awesome! I forget I'm even wearing them half the time because they're so lightweight. Also, they sound amazing, I don't need BT 4.0 for them to work great, they have AMAZING battery life (rated for 10, not 8 hours for music) and I used them all day at work 2 days in a row, while still having the battery on 'medium'. That was 2 10 hour shifts too.
I didn't think I'd like the design, because I thought it looked clunky, but like I said I barely can tell I'm wearing them. Maybe once my Fiance sees them she'll think otherwise on the styling, which is when I'll probably pick up the ankers, but for now, these work wonderfully and impressed me.
The only gripe I have (and this isn't specific to this headset, it pertains to all BT headsets) is I can only pair with two deices at once, unless I'm mistaken? I want to use this with my new MBP, my iPad and my Note III. My PS3 would be an added bonus, anyone know how to accomplish this or if I'm just being a newb and doing it wrong?
My Jaybird Bluebuds X work great as well. You can buy the tips from the site below.
http://www.complyfoam.com/
FYI for those interested in the BackBeat Go 2 Tiger Direct has them for $69.99 (instant $10 off) and a $20 mail in rebate for a final price of $49.99.
I know mail-in rebates kinda suck. But it a good deal at $49.99

Those are the exact same tips I got. But for like 3 dollars at Target.
I was wondering how you gym rats/joggers carry your G3 during workouts. I was looking into armbands on Amazon but looking through the available brands.
It seems they're all made of poor quality and the companies have awful-mediocre feedback on other products.
Do any of you guys have something to recommend? I just want something where the device is safe, won't bother me as I lift/run, and won't let sweat get through to the phone.
Cheers.

I've had the Note 2 for about 2 years now. Not exactly the easiest phone to carry while jogging or during deadlifts at the gym. When I had my S3, i had an armband, but even that was a little too big. I would use the headphones that came with the Note 2 through the shirt like most people i see doing at the gym and it really wasn't working. So I bought bluetooth headphones.
After looking around and passing on some other headsets, I bought the LG TONES HBS-730
http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-HBS-730-Bluetooth-Headset/dp/B009A5204K
I just set my phone down or keep it in my pocket while at the gym. It's just a lot easier to not have to worry about wires anymore. It's still a pain to have to carry it while jogging, but much easier than before. The headphones tend to bounce on my neck a bit, but don't come out of my ears at any point. I even use them on my motorcycle and they work great. I've answered calls from my gf while riding and she didn't even know i was using the Tones.
I highly recommend them.
I leave my phone in my gym bag and use a Sony mw-600 with different ear buds.
I'm not a fan of arm bands, and I don't expect the G3 to be particularly comfortable especially given its size. For lifting I much prefer using bluetooth headphones so the phone and any cables are out of the way.
Edit: By the way I recently got the Jabra Revo Wireless. Quoted at 12 hours of listening/talk time, which is amazing. And the nice thing is it includes a cable so if you run out of juice you can just plug it in and listen like a normal pair of headphones. Good for lifting, but I don't think they would stay put for running.
plantronics backbeat go 2 are awesome, And they will last you a whole 4 hours at 80% volume.

I ordered that one and it is arriving today. The company's other products seem to have solid reviews.
I considered BT headphones but I never see any with really solid reviews. I have UE TripleFi 10i that I ordered new rubber inserts for and am going to see how I like them with the band, generally I love the sound from them but my foam inserts get shot fast with running.

Nice, post a review when you get it and give it a try for a few sessions.
I'm looking into BT earbuds or headphones but just about everything have mixed reviews.

Will do, and thus my problem with them Jaybird is usually solid but people I know who own BT headphones, especially buds, say the sound quality loss isn't worth the price to get rid of a short cable

No argument there. So far I only use these for lifting. I had a set of Meelectronics Airfi AF71s (bluetooth earphones) that actually sounded really good, but they used non-standard ear tips (i.e. comply foam tips are a no-go) and they didn't fit very well so for runs I just stick with cabled earphones.

Never heard of those. I guess for just lifting cans would be okay, I still use my UE's.
One of my favorite tech reviewers.
12:20 he begins giving his review after using them in the gym.
They look nice imo, might order in a few weeks but I'd prefer earbuds for now. Can't really picture myself running with headphones on. I'd be worried that they may come off and fall lol

So my armband came in today and I wore it around town with my RAZR MAXX and might ear it to the gym tonight. It is definitely nice build quality IMO and for $7 I think it was a great buy.
I will test it more and report back
I'm using jaybirds bluebudz x and they're very very good. You can use comply with them.
Quality and volume are decent, battery life is good. I run and cycle in them.
