[Q] Atrix will not mount USB mode - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I've scoured the entire internet and have not been able to find a applicable response to my problem.
I recent flashed the HTKW (SP?) 2.3.4 rom to my atrix and all went well.
After a few days I noticed my phone ABSOLUTELY REFUSES to mount into USB mass storage mode. I've tried everything that I could personally think of to fix this. I thought it was just another bug, so I dealt with it. Later charging became an issue. The phone would occasionally believe it was not plugged in to charge, a little bit of wiggling has fixed that luckily.
Unfortunately I have flashed the new ATT 2.3.4 rom hoping for better results. I still cannot mount USB. I also found that the device is not recognized through USB through ANY MEANS including CMW recovery and RSD boot mode. I had to use a SD card reader to get the new rom on to flash it because phone portal would also not transfer my files.
I'm at a loss, and would greatly appreciate any help you guys can conjure for me. Please leave some hopeful words at the very least.
Thanks in advance..

I'm in a similar boat here. I've been running Neutrino 2.2 / CWM7, and havent had any problems until tonight.
My original issue was sound related, so I was attempting to flash back to stock. I haven't even been able to try that as I can't get the damn thing to mount as USB Mass Storage.
Currently in RomRacers CWM attempting a manual mount, and I've got nothing.
Anybody?

[Q] USB problem

Hi all, I hope somone can help me, I have a TMobile UK Samsung GS2, I have it unlocked and rooted for some time now and have been happily flashing custom ROM's with no problems but a couple of days ago after flashing and update to my current ICS ROM, I am no longer able to connect it to a PC I get an error message saying the device is unrecognised, I have tried 3 different PC's and 3 different cables, I even tired a MAC! I have rolled back to a previous ICS version via nandroid backup and that does not work, I even rolled back to a GB version of a nandroid backup and still no joy, I have tried pretty much every wipe option available and installed from new, it still does not connect, if I boot into download mode odin does not pick it up, Kies does not pick it up, I have an hdmi adapter to plug into my TV that does not work anymore as well as an adapter to connect a flash drive and although the power light on the flash drive shows up the device does not show on the phone, I can charge the phone however. I have posted on the ROM forum on XDA and the guys there have tried to help mainly by different wipe options but nothing has so far worked.
I noticed while experimenting with different kernels that the back around the camera would get very hot, I wonder if something has burnt out, if I am going to try and send it back to TMobile under warranty I guess I need to flash a stock ROM and would have done this through Odin but that is not an option
Does any of you genii out there know how I can fix this?? I am not such a newb and work in IT so have a gut feeling it is a hardware problem that is not easy to fix however one of you may know what to do.
Thanks in advance.
You could use mobile odin to flash the stock rom back, it sounds like your micro usb connector has gone faulty, its a common fault with the Galaxy S2.
I already answered you in your other post.
Please don't double post. (forum rule #5)

Sorry about that I originally posted here then saw that it was probably the wrong forum, so I reposted, can I remove this one??
Ok guys after hours of wiping a flashing I have got to the bottom of my problem, I tired cleaning the usb port on the phone as suggested in the general forum and tried installing some mobile dev tools from microsoft, neither of which seemed to work, although I did manage to blow quite a bit of dust out with the compressed air!! Then I read a post where one guy was doing all his flashing without the sim and sd card installed, so I took both of them out and would you believe it I plugged my phone into my PC in download mode and odin picked it up! to I booted the phone plugged it back into the PC and voila it picked up the phone without errors as a mass storage device!! , I put the sim back in and tired again, picked up mass storage device again!! , so I figure my sandisk 64gb micro sd card has become corrupt, I have backed it up and formatted it in CWM and now that is picked up too!!! will transfer the data back over to it to be sure it is fine.
I wanted to say a big thanks to all who have offeed advie and help, especially nickmax1, cooza, ger5, daclaus and of course indie for his great rom, I lost the faith for a while there but have it back now thanks to you guys, it is a pleasure to be part of this great community.
Cheers all

[Q] Help... Stuck in recovery :(

So here is the deal, i went to flash a new ROM last night. I usually do everything on my phone as my computer does not normally recognize my USB for some reason, but anyways, i tried flashing last night and the flash failed. and i have no back ups nor can i plug in a USB and transfer anything to my "sd" portion of my phone because it does not work. Oh and when i go back to stock (Factory reset), when i try to boot into system. It just shoves me back into recovery mode, someone please help. I'm usually pretty good with this stuff and if i don't know a quick Google search is sufficient. But i have found nothing. This is my last resort.
FYI: I believe it failed because my recovery is an old version, I'm using team win recovery touch. not sure if that changes anything

Well u need to get something on the phone to flash. I suggest you work on the usb issue or get a micro sd reader.
Well the "sd" card is the integrated one i cant remove. And i have tried fixing the usb but nothings seems to remedy it. Very rarely i can get it to work but it will stop working the next time i try to plug it in. I have a ROM i can flash, but the recovery fails to flash it every single time, even after clean install. im fairly sure its my recovery that wont let me flash the rom but i also cant update that till i figure out how to at least get the phone to a homescreen. I honestly dont know much about odin but it looks like i may be able to try and flash it there, is this correct?

[Q] Softbricked! Stuck in Odin Mode.

Phone Info: AT&T Galaxy S3, Cyanogenmod 10.2
So, I was messing around, trying to get the WiFi to work on my phone when I tried a solution I found on the forums: updating one of the files involving the radio. After flashing the file, my phone shut off and opened in Download mode. Now I can't leave download mode, can't enter recovery mode, and can't boot my phone. Oh, and my computer can't recognize the phone either. I've searched for hours looking for a solution and I'm freaking out. I seriously need some help with this.
Basically it says:
Could not do normal mode
Odin Mode
Phone Model, etc.
I really don't care how its done, what ROM I end up with, or anything else. I just need this phone to be able to work properly again. Thanks for any help!
I think it's emmc sds

That's sudden death syndrome right? Is there any good fix for it or way to get it replaced despite it being rooted and the ROM changed? (I did know that going into rooting might cause problems like this, just hopeful that there's a way)
Edit: If there's a way to get the phone to be recognized by a computer; I can still access download mode and would have no problem doing a full restore from there. I've tried installing drivers for the phone, it seems like the phone is unable to be recognized by any computer I try also.
Finally did get Recovery Mode to work. Don't know if that can help much

add a screenshot of recovery mod, download mod
SDS is when the phone is completely dead, doesn't boot at all.
You are posting in the wrong forum, this is for the i9300 only.
If you've flashed a file meant for another phone then you have probably hard bricked it.
If download mode doesn't connect to pc then you need a repair centre.

Solved the issue! So I managed to load my original ROM file onto my external SD and install it from recovery. For anyone else who has this problem, I just loaded the zip file onto the SD, stuck it in my phone, powered off and clicked Volume Up Home and Power to get into recovery, (phone specific for Gs3 on getting to recovery) and went to install from zip and installed the file. Problem solved for me, although it did wipe all the data which isnt a big deal really. Phew. That was a scare. And it fixed my WiFi problem, so all in all a good learning experience for me
Anyhow, thanks for all the help, I appreciate it! And sorry for hitting up the wrong forum, its my first time on it.
Thanks again!

Help! Phone is stuck like Ive never seen! Mobile Odin!

Hey guys, I'm really hoping someone can tell me of a solution Ive not though of.... So Ive got the note 3 from sprint. currently had 4.4.4. I shoulda just left wellenough alone, I realize, But I tried to flash just a modem via mobileOdin and upon reboot, it will say "recoverybooting" and then I get the blue android. Thats all. This was just over 6 hours ago I did this and Im dead in the water, Ive SEARCHED the internet high and low and there are other facing similar problems, but it seems like every mishap Ive read about EVENTUALLY gets fixed. This just will not do anthing with any button combo as far as recovery and/or download mode. I cant access download mode either. recovery never actually boots, just a forever frozen blue android.. Now, with the phone attached via usb to my PC, it DOES see it as COM7, BUT REGARDLESS what ive tried it just remains at the "recovery booting" spot then blue android until I pull the battery again. Please HELP.! IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS I would be just delighted if you may have some other approaches to this matter. THANKS! Please let me know iTs DESPERATE!

Have you tried removing the battery for a couple of minutes ? If you have read a couple of my threads on NH7 4.4.4, once your there downgrading anything is risky. Here is a link to read http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/help/4-4-4-download-mode-t2877528 . Here is a link for a recovery from a hard brick, by creating a boot image and then copy and paste it on a sdcard http://www.rom-central.com/showthread.php?87-GUIDE-HOWTO-Recover-from-a-HARD-BRICK-N900V-NC2-NC4 there are several sites on this type of fix, I just can't remember where they are. However, I do have something that may help, on one of those sites there was a link for someone who has already created a SM-N900P Unbrick img for Sprint and I downloaded it just in case. Here is the link http://www.mediafire.com/download/l6q1152x5c9d4h6/N900PUnbrick my copy. From what I understand you need to format/erase your sd card then copy and paste the unbrick img to the sd card from a PC. Pull the battery and install the sdcard back in the device, then try and boot the phone into download mode. Here is another link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439367 I have not had to do this so you will have to do a little reading to be sure.

The fact that it still shows up as COM is a good sign.
Get a hold of ODIN 3.07+ I had issues with ODIN 3.06.
Here are a few things to try:
1.Take the battery out and hold all the buttons that you normally would to boot into recovery. While holding all the buttons, plug in the usb cable. If it boots into download mode, awesome, just put the battery in before you flash.
2. .Take the battery out and hold all the buttons that you normally would to boot into recovery. While holding all the buttons, plug in the battery. Hopefully it will boot into download mode.
3. try different cables, remember regular micro usb cables work with the note 3.
Make sure you put the modem file in the phone slot, and the rom/system tar in the pda slot.
Best of luck
Thanks for the suggestions guys! Iguess time is just what it needed. I actually fell asleep after trying for so long, and when I woke up I decided to try once more and VOILA... It let me into download mode! Went back to stock and have since been rebuilding . ha! Thanks again

[Q] US Cellular Mesmerize SCH-I500 bootloop/softbrick

I have an old US Cellular Mesmerize that I really messed up this time. I had flashed CWM Recovery 4, installed Cyanogen Mod 7 .2. I came across a thread for a liquid smooth rom 4.2.2, realized it was for a fascinate but still flashed it to the phone. I figured for the same model phone sch-i500, different carriers I'd take the risk because I wasn't going to use the phone for calls anyways, just apps etc.
Anywho, after the flash finished, phone rebooted came to the liquid smooth splash screen and stayed there for quite awhile, wasn't frozen as the animation kept going, stopping and going for a few minutes. Never really came to a main screen so I pulled the battery. Wanted to get back into recovery and flash back to 7.2 but phone has been a bootloop ever since. Weird thing is, it'll power on, you'll see the samsung cyanogenmod splash for 2 secs then goes into cwm 5.0.2.8 recovery finds the SD card, says SD Card marker not found, tries installing, e: unknown volume for path, e: can't mount.
I can put the phone in download mode but not one of my computers detects it, win7 64bit PC, win7 32bit laptop, macbook or linux laptop. However, I have 2 of these mesmerizes, the other "good" mes is detected in download mode in each computer, same cable, same USB ports.
With the bad mes, I've tried different cables, different usbs and as I mentioned, different computes/OSes.
I've been searching/reading the last few days to no avail. I did find a thread somewhere that mentioned the ROM may have messed with the devices USB Device ID on the phone therefore rendering it undetectable by computers. It makes sense since I have an identical phone that has no problems being detected.
Was wondering if anybody could help, give some pointers? I've read about flashing a debrick image on an SD card however I haven't found steps to actually create the debrick image on my good phone. I also understand that it sounds like I may need a micor SD card that is atleast a class 10 and UHS when flashing the debrick image correct?
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but figured since noone has posted in the mesmerize forum for 2 yrs that I'd start here. Thanks for any help in advance.
