I like hacking and cutting and fixing and things like that so I was wondering is it anywhere remotely possible to make a home made tv out cable for cheap that works with either the headphone jack or usb port (to charge at the same time or not) the tmobile vibrant? If It makes a difference I use cm7 and stock respectively. Right now I am using stock for its camera app but id really like to use my phone with the tv but I dont trust buying things online and I cant find any in stores. Again any and all help is welcomed and greatly appreciated. I hope this is possible

Hello,
I'm trying to find out if any of the Custom Roms for the Streak 5 have USB support built in?
I am trying to get a USB controller to work on my Streak 5.
I have tried Longhorn, Gingerstreak and Simple Streak. My controller doesn't work with my dock (a knockoff brand), but it is certainly possible I have to have another cable. I just need to know if the ROMs have it built in.
thanks
Streakdroid 1.9.x are the only ones confirmed to usb-hosting, and it's limited on that.
DSC might have some usb hosting support, the rest definitely dont

but you will need a Dell dock, I tried USB hosting with 2 generic docks and was not successful until I purchased the Dell AV dock

Darn, that's what I was afraid of. I tried to cheap out and bought the "FOSOM" dock, that has the USB connection. It doesn't seem to do anything.
Which ROM are you using? And for what? My hope is to get this thing working with Onlive.
thanks
Does your dock have 1 or 2 different types of usb ports?
It should very least have 2 ports, and properly they should be different as one is for normal usb and 1 is for usb-hosting.
You cant do both off one port as they use different pins on the dock connector

Okay. So before I buy another dock or possibly start cutting up my cable can somebody confirm whether this build has the proper usb driver? I'm currently using DSC build 0.61b
The link to version 7 appears to be dead.
Today i was able to copy/paste files from/to my Streak/Flashdrive using my modified dell cable and a female-female usb adapter running DSC 0.7

Yes you can replace it but you need some experience disassembling phones, and the spare USB flex part. Do you still have Warranty?

Thanks a lot mariosraptor.I was worried that it's not possible!!!!thank you very much.
you are welcome.
I wonder if the good piece that brings the load port my phone is the same as the i9100 as it hurt me and I can not find the original in my country Venezuela.
I get the piece is that of 9100 brings the microphone and charging port hopefully help me with my question
This is the piece I had to buy to replace my broken/non charging usb port. It looks like the i777 and the i9100 are identical, but I make no guarantees

Hello all
Just asking for help as to if anyone think my Nexus 10 has a fault.
I've not managed to get USB off or HDMI out working.
I bought what I thought would be a good USB otg cable but it won't work.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Samsung-E.../400320687174?ssPageName=ADME:L:eek:C:GB:3160
Also I bought an micro HDMI to HDMI cable and again it won't work
I've ordered alternatives of both cables but my worry is that it is my N10 and not the cables.
Anyone else had problems?

It seems to me that it would be more likely that the problem is how you are setting it up or with whatever else you are trying to connect to.
Have you used the otg/micro hdmi cables on a different device?
New cables have resolved the issue, couldn't believe that both cables of different types were the problem.
