Can someone tell me their Defaults in Phone Info using : #*#4636#*#* - HTC EVO 3D

In my ever ending quest to increase my speeds Ive been reading on other phone settings - Can anyone that has a good 3G speed tell me thier settings for Phone Info when you dial : *#*#4636#*#* from the dialer keypad?
I read on the Sensation forum that if you disable cipher it speeds up, I wanted to try but I cant disable that setting for some reason.
Thanks

to be fair that thread says to disable and then enable it again.
i tried and also was unsuccessful. my guess is it has something to do with cdma mode.

Yeah, it does reenable it as well - but I found a few sites mentioning the same steps --- I was just hoping to get a data boost - I assumed it likely wouldnt help anyway...

It seems through Google searches that has something to do with encryption and security..

Yep - that makes sense - In the Sensation forum people have reported increased speeds with this off. I am aware that it may allow data to go clear then, but I wanted to teste it. It appears though that the 3D cant turn this off, when you press the button it just sits at Enabled.

NEED widget to turn off VOICE network ONLY.

Hey guys,
I've been on my Vibrant for a 1.5 month now, and I absolutely love it. Had my hiccups and speed bumps, but a great experience. I've so much the past month.
Thing is though, I was on BlackBerry for 4.5 years and it had a "connections" menu where I could toggle
Wifi/3g/voice/bluetooth.
But with the Android, it seems to only toggle Data /3g or WIFI.
there is nothing to turn off ONLY (Solely, singularly, by itself, exclusively) Voice Network, meaning the BARS.
Any help here? Call me lazy ass, because evidently I am, but I don't want to hit airplane mode, then reenable wifi again. I'd like a widget to be able to turn each wireless on/off independently.
I've searched, but nothing came up pertaining to my topic.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
You could use tasker to set up a profile for that. Hit a button and perform multiple operations. I live it so much I paid for it. Unfortunately there is no voice setting.

Thanks for your super quick response. Apparently, i've got lots more to learn. Sorry, but I haven't got a clue what you just told me.
1. Tasker: No idea what that is.
2. No voice setting: I figured as much.
Any further clarification?
Much appreciated.

[Q] Enable Data Roaming without using the Settings menu?

I use my phone daily in a non-Verizon network, so having Data Roaming enabled is very important for me. The new ROM I installed, however, does not have a menu option for enabling/disabling Data Roaming.
Does anyone know of a way to do this through script? Or maybe there is something that can be changed in "build.prop" (or another file) that would change the default setting of Data Roaming disabled to be enabled?
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.vuvuzela.roamcontrol&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS52dXZ1emVsYS5yb2FtY29udHJvbCJd
Thank you, but that isn't quite what I'm looking for. It looks like it could possibly work, but I I'm looking for a way to permanently turn the Data Roaming on. I don't care if I need to edit the ROM files before I flash them or if there is some sort of hack I can install/perform after the ROM is running.
Maybe there is a way to install the AOSP or stock version of the component that controls this? Does anyone know what component controls the data roaming?
hmm i dont know how could you achieve this....its a bit more advanced
Still looking for the magic bullet
I'm very interested in this as well.
Does anybody know if the Roam Control app is able to keep Data roaming on at all times? I have not been able to find a trial version to try it out...
Or is there any other way of keeping it on? For a Motorola Droid 3.
I have tried modifying build.prop with many different settings that I have found in other threads but nothing has worked so far. I need to re-enable data roaming manually maybe 20 times a day.
Thanks!
Nobody?
I sent a mail to the author of Roam Control asking if his app is able to do this but still no answer
I finally took the problem in my own hands and managed to make a small app that re-enables data roaming at the touch of a button.
I needs to be installed as a system app for it to work, but it works!
You can get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2165364
Well you're not alone

I want to permanently enable data roaming but several Google searches have led me to only this thread. I have just downloaded Roaming Control and will tinker with it to see if it solves the issue of the constant nagging data roaming warnings.
I am confused. In my Jellybean settings there's a selection field titled "Show roaming reminder". Even though I have set it to "Never" it still gives a data roaming warning every single time. Either I am misinterpreting the use of that selection field or it's flat out broken or disabled by the carrier.

What can I do with a MSL#

Hello to all my XDA'ers,
Question, So I now have my MSL#. What can I do with this number?? Can I fix the random reboots with this? Can I obtain better 3G service? What can I do now?
Thanks to all!
That's a very good question.
Okay, an MSL number benefits you in the following ways:
- Allows you to REPROGRAM your phone
- Access Hidden Menus
& More.
An MSL number does not allow you to:
- Fix Random Reboots
- Root Phone
Now, rooting the phone will allow you to:
- Get rid of Sprint Proxies, (which slightly speed up 3G, and 4G speeds, but doesn't allow you to use Sprint TV, not significantly on 3G, but possibly on 4G)
- Get Free WiFi Hotspot
& Much More.
If I helped you, don't forget to throw me a thanks, just click the thanks button!

Thanks for the response. I am currently rooted (stock rom). Unsure which ROM to use, I would like something that is fairly stable?? any suggestions??
as for the hidden menus that require the MSL - is there anything else other than ##3282#. I did see that there is a "hack" in which you change the IP's to 0.0.0.0 and the Ports to 0 - does this do anything for the Photon.
Yes ##3282# select multimedia hit menu button then edit
Then enter 6digit msl then done then change proxies to 0.0.0.0and ports to 0 then reboot
All it does is change the speed of 3g data slightly may not even notice.. it depends from device to device...its been a well known hack on the evo for awhile ..I do it on all my phones.. And other devices. If u wanna put back to original proxies and ports just be sure to right them down and same method then reboot
Stock proxys are
rtsp.vog.sprintpcs.com
Port 554
Pd.vog.sprintpcs.com
Port 8085
Dont loose your MSL code! !!!!!

Yes, there are a few other things than the ##DATA#, (##3282#), but I am currently unaware of them, there is a thread in the forums that show what the benefits of having the MSL Number. If I relocate it, I will add it to this thread.
The ROM that I would personally recommend is Joker Skinny ROM, it is the most stable as of right now.
@lojak29 - Thank you for your post, I was going to add the same thing. I appreciate it.
hey - thanks to you both for the information - it is EXTREMELY helpful.

The greatest thanks that I can receive is you clicking the "Thanks" button, it lets users know that I am a helpful person, and boosts my self esteem to keep volunteering my time here at the XDA Developer Motorola Photon 4G Forums, along with a few other forums.
Thanks,

I did not know that; you learn something new every day

Not a big deal but..

I have changed my ##DATA# settings and it might be the cause of this (not sure) but either way, i get a "mobile ip registration response error" notification everytime my 3G connects, doesnt do it on 4G, anyone know how to fix this? Or atleast hide the notification xD gets annoying on road trips or a spotty 4G area (as it would be going off everytime i loose 4G nd connect to 3G) thank you!!

You changed too much information. I started to get the mobile ip registration errors when I changed the DSS information.
I no longer get the errors with just changing the settings in the multimedia field. You should be able to change back your DSS settings if you have altered them. Since you are getting the IP errors it sounds as if you have.
I checked and im almost positive ive only changed multimedia and data profile, does data profile cause this too? Also what is the DSS menu suppose to be set to?
Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
Shouldnt be anything to change in data profile. The information is pretty much cut and dry, I think even changing the HA's will make themselves revert on a reboot..
Ima post back here tomorrow all the settings i have set in all three of those menus, its 2:30 been on the road for 10/11 hours nd just got home xD

Incase you borked your settings this is what they should be for the fields..

Is this app fake or real? Network booster..

Just installed this app
http://www.appbrain.com/app/network-booster/com.dokomon.networkbooster
Is this real or not? Personally i don't think it is but if it is why don't rom builders use this?
Thanks any input would be great
btw the app did make my bars go up but then went back down.
Short answer, no it isn't real.
Proper answer... well yeah it's real and you might briefly get 1 extra bar signal. All it does is turn on airplane mode and your connection is reset. It is illegal/breach of your terms of use to actually tamper with/change the telco settings. What you can do on your phone is one thing, actually changing stuff to do with the network like the app suggest simply does not/cannot happen. Even it it did work you'd stick out like a beacon saying hey look at me I hacked your network.
for those who don't believe me download the app, start it, then home button out of it and you will see airplane mode activated - So save yourself the the time of downloading it and just flick on/off airplane mode.
Nice one dude thanks for the heads up !
