Yeah, they run fine on my HeroC
scummVM works perfectly as long as you have a good aim picking text
I'm running both 64oid & snesoid on my Uk flipout. 64oid has some sound issues but most roms run ok (using setcpu to boost gaming). Snesoid also has some sound issues but on the whole both run fairly well ...
Lets not forget that both of these emulators & others are still "work in progress" so we can expect some significant improvements in rom execution & hardware compatibilty in the future...

Which games did you try on the N64oid? It will be great if you try Zelda OoT.
i tried psx4droid but the only game i can get to run smooth enuff to play
is yu-gi-oh forbidden memories
sound gets destroyed
animations get abit choppy
I use NESoid to play:
Mario
Krion Conquest
Felix the Cat
Kirby's Adventure
all of those work fine, with a less than occasional audio stutter.
as for the input settings:
im using up, down, left, right with the Dpad
the A-button is J and the B-button is H
return/enter is my start and delete/backspace is my select
I played fpse it's a psx emulator and it worked pretty well, I was playing final fantasy 8 on that emulator, the downpoint was that the screen is a little bit too small for that... gameboid works perfectly

snes9x play smoothly!
Hello guys,
Is there any emulators i can use on my G5 to play some classic games like the old Pokemon, Mario, Sonic, Golden Axe etc? If so where can i find them?
Thank you
Pretty sure it works for most android phones
> Market
> Search (Emulators) should show a bunch of systems people have made for our phones.
> Roms, either find Rom Gripper or search the net for roms.
Hope that helps.

Thank you so much!
Searching the name of the game then ROM should work like "Pokemon Emerald ROM" or the console then ROM like "GBA ROMs" that should work well or http://www.romfind.com/ to search for ROMs.
hey i download the roms from here http://www.emuparadise.me/ and i found all i was looking for
on th slideme market there tons of emulators and apps to find roms

I got a few from slideme.org from a developer named yongzh. Here's his page:
https://slideme.org/user/yongzh
I've tested all of the emulators except for N64oid. They all run very smoothly. It's even better when you use the Wii classic controller or a Sixaxis.
I also tried the two Playstation emulators on the Android Market - FPse and PSX4Droid. Both run slow depending on the game, but FPse is better. The only game I tried was Tombi, which was playable, but is overall slow.

Depends on the device as well.
FPse runs about 50-61 fps on my droid incredible.
Any game and all I have played have caused no slowness.
It's hard to play since I only have a few HW buttons and multi-touch registers only two touchs. A third touch is canceled out.
N64oid runs.. decent... Around 10-20 fps. Depends on the games too, Zelda runs kinda smooth but the sound crackle kills it.
Mario party is merely unplayable and Mario64 is super smooth.

Can somebody please download SNESDroid (It's free ) on their ICS Prime and see if you can get a game running. Whenever I try to start a game the audio works fine but the video is just a static glitchy mess. I'd also be useful for somebody still on HC (Unknown Serial Number is coming in useful ) to test it also. I'm not sure but the issue began I THINK around the time I updated to ICS.
Thanks.
I loaded up SMB All-Stars without any visual or audio issues.
MegaMan X3 works fine
So does my other games
megaman, super metroid, and super mario allstars all work on ICS
edit: they worked prior to ICS also on HC
http://www.explusalpha.com/ works perfectly in ICS
It just randomly started working again earlier, strange. Snes9x ex had the same problem as SNESDroid but they both work now. Thanks for the replies.
i just noticed i have not been using snesdroid, but rather supergnes. does snesdroid allow you to save and start where you left off? supergnes requires full version

Free Save and Load states from anywhere
I recommend snesoid personally, works fantastically on every game I have tried. In fact I use all the free *kid emulators and they are great. They are not in the market but available on slideme
i am getting an error when trying to load state, i get this error: "file not in snes9x snapshot format"
Give Snes9x ex a go too, I think they're based on the same emulator.

We all know Wildfire is a bit (lot) on the slow side, but, surprisingly I was able to play and complete several PS1 games on it, yes 3D games, on Wildfire!
So far I played:
Playstation 1 (FPse):
*Gran Turismo 1 - played nicely, was able to win few races in simulation mode (if you played GT1, you know AI is a bit hard, even more in US and japanese versions). I'm big GT fan so I don't enjoy it if it isn't on wheel or joystick (got PS3 only for GT5 ).
*Resident Evil 1/2 - completed, very nice gameplay.
*Metal Gear Solid - stuck on electricity torture after defeating Sniper Wolf (can't press the button fast enough, but, no big deal, I completed the game 10ish times), nice gameplay overall.
*Tekken 2 - works fine, smooth.
*Twisted Metal 2 - nice gameplay.
*Few other games.
Super Nintendo (SNESoid):
*Mortal Kombat # - No problem, smooth, fun, got my a** kicked, though.
*A lot of other games, all played smooth.
Gameboy Advance (GameBoid):
*Pokemon: Fire Red Version - best game ever , playing it currently, smooth gameplay.
Note: Games were played on CM7/RemPuzzle Lite, clocked at: 528-748 MHz with ondemand governor (PS1) and 352-691 MHz, again, ondemand governor (SNES, GBA).
So, did you play any game? If you did, share it!
Gameboy Advance:
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Castlevania: Harmony Of Dissonanace
Pokemon Emerald
Zelda: a Link to the Past
I have also tried Need for Spped Carbon for the GBA, but it's really laggy once you try to use multitouch (multiple controls at once)
Are you running overclocked or stock?
Wow blast from the past. This was the whole reason I rooted my phone to start with back in the day,so I could o/c and kick ass on tekken3. No place on my phone anymore for games but loved that period/phase I went through.
Fspe served me well, but I think it was a little awkward to understand at first if I remember right.
Sorry ramble over.lol
Tekken 1,2,3
Hogs of war
Lots of others but can't remember.
it made sense in my head !!!
I played tiger snes/ GBA. sound is so laggy; have to turn off the sound ?

1. Download the emulator application, e.g. GameBoid.apk is for Game Boy Advance
2. Download the BIOS (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BIOS), to simplify, the thing that makes the emulator application think your phone is a Game Boy Advance, Playstation or whatever.
3. Dowload the actual game and enjoy
I cant supply you with links because this is kinda considered warez, but i will send you everything in PM if youre interested.

Well, only some emulators require special bios, those do "heavy" emulation, simply, if you want to play game boy advance, google gba bios, it should be in .bin format. Download it and copy to sd card, then, start the emulator application and it will ask you to locate bios, just navigate to the .bin file and select it, done.

one question...
Is there any Android nintendo DS emulator? if exists, how is named, and how can i use it? thx
Thanks
it seems like wildfire can handle every gba/snes/genesis game, but on fpse:
diablo - laggy
tomba - laggy
harvest moon - found running good at 50 fps, lol
medievil - laggy still, sometimes is playable..
Chrono Cross - laggy
CM7 build 57, 652-768 mhz on smartass, is really there anything to improve gaming perfomance on this device?
FPSe on the wildfire with no gpu? How is that even possible! Is it all software rendered?
I tried FPse emulator, I tried both Resident evil and Gran Turismo 1.........
I faced problems on both games.......
I have the Digital controls set, But On resident evil i couldn't attack the zombie, I pressed all the keys but no use...... On gran turismo, I couldn't get the car to run, Which key to use.
And Can we use the touch panel to control the games, It would be awesome.
And what other games can you play on it.... Please help

i dont know what could be the problem, when i was playing all touch keys worked just fine, you should disable the sound im fpse though because sound is performance killer. id try different version of fpse first, then try to fix it if it doesnt work.

Oh I can drive the car on Gran Turismo,.... It was because the Gsensor driving was on, so it drove backward when I pressed the key........ Everything else works good.
They say you have to press the R1 to aim and X to fire.... but it only works sometimes.
so I can't use a knife on resident evil, and on landscape there is no R1, R2, L1, L2, how to fix that?
Besides PPSSPP and Dolphin (Gamecube & Wii) are there other emulators that people have tested on the switch?
Personally, I'd like to see PS2 emulation, but I know it's a bit of a stretch. :silly:
Also, what are some favorites that play well on the switch?
I ask for discussion since there isn't a thread around.
Drastic and the Beta of Redream should work well.
I guess DamonPS2 should be able to play some lighter games reasonably but don't expect too much.
These are the emulators I have downloaded that I can personally confirm work:
-SNES9X, runs all of the SNES games I have flawlessly.
-Mupen64Pluz FZ, runs all of the N64 games I have flawlessly.
-My OldBoy!, runs all GB and GBC games I have flawlessly.
-My Boy!, runs all GBA games I have flawlessly.
-Dolphin MMJ, does not run all Gamecube games I have flawlessly. (further information below)
-nds4droid, does not run all DS games I have flawlessly. (further information below)
-PPSSPP, runs all PSP games I have flawlessly.
-Redream, runs all Dreamcast games I have flawlessly.
I wasn't able to get the regular Dolphin emulator to run Gamcube games, let alone even install Wii games. The Dolphin MMJ version has some lag, but I don't know the proper optimization through settings that is required to get it to run flawlessly. Other users have posted that theirs work flawlessly, but I haven't seen an extensive list of the settings they use.
Nds4droid lags with the Pokemon games. I've tried to download over 15 different DraStic DS emulator APK files and none have worked for me. They kept displaying an error message of not having something. I can't recall exactly off the top of my head at the moment.
Could someone create a foolproof guide in text or video format as to how to get Dolphin and DraStic to run properly?

If someone gets Morrowind running, I'd definitely be interested in playing that as I've never played it before.
Unfortunately, that tutorial doesn't help me because I didn't need the Octopus application since the Joy Con fix works with Dolphin MMJ. I'm referring to the graphical and enhancement settings in Dolphin.

DraStic runs perfectly bought from the playstore.
DraStic works fine for me, too. It does show some kind of an pop-up error at the beginning, but the emulator itself works fine afterwards.
When it comes to other emulators besides DraStic:
PPSSPP: Played only Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, emulator is working great, although SW: TFU does have *some* slowdowns (but this is the same across all platforms, so very probably not a performance issue), but overall completely playable.
When it comes to games:
Star Wars: KOTOR: I am using version 1.0.9 (from Amazon Appstore) and it works perfectly (including gamepad right out of the box).
GTA: San Andreas: Working fine, but the sticks are not working for movements. Buttons work fine.
Half-Life 2: Native Tegra version, works perfectly fine.
Will continue to edit this post.

Remember, F-Droid is a thing, my friend. Just like a brother above, we're not limited to Google stuff, I for one, have no intention to use Google stuff. I'll be using FDroid, Aurora Store and Amazon c:
https://f-droid.org/packages/com.libopenmw.openmw/ I do believe this uses SDL for joysticks.
My list of emulators are as follows; for everything else I use retroarch.
PSX:
Epsxe - nice psx emulator, works exactly how you would imagine a box standard emulator to work and does the job quite well. Can’t say any downsides to this emulator
Fpse: my favourite out of the two, upscales into HD and even forces a widescreen that doesn’t end in a stretched out mess. Honestly this emulator will make tekken 3 look like tekken 6 (a slight over exaggeration but it’s worth it). The downside is there is no free version and it’s gonna cost you a couple of quid/dollars.
Dreamcast:
Reicast- it works as well as it’s lakka version only this time you can dock the switch for TV. Has a widescreen hack and looks quite nice in places although some textures don’t work right (shenmue need more than a plaster to cover that hole in his face). Downsides are some games don’t work.
Redream - works great, all games I’ve tried run fine including stupid invaders (if that’s what you’re into) that being said, that game doesn’t get past the Sega logo in reicast so this emulator offers more support! I can’t remember if you have to pay for it though and just like reicast it doesn’t support “win ce” games like resident evil 2.
PS2:
Damonps2 - runs a little worse than dolphin, I haven’t found a single game I could consider as playable in that emulator but it shows promise and apparently is due an upgrade that will offer a lot of speed up. This emulator has seen some controversy because the dev ripped off code from the pc version of psx2 and I believe there’s some lawsuit involved. Has the most drawbacks. The free version won’t let you save and the paid version asks for your **** size amongst all over personal data as well as it won’t work if you’re offline or use the xposed frame network. It also shuts itself if you have Magisk installed. To get it to work again you have to hide the application with Magisk hide.
DS:
Drastic - you might have to pay but damn is it worth it. Looks amazing and can swap your screens instantly by pressing the thumb sticks in, not so great for games that utilise both screens at once like Sonic Rush but plays great!!
Like I say everything else I use retroarch for.

For PSX I'd honestly recomend RetroArch (Both android and HorizonOS). It already has Upscaling and it's free. As for Tekken 3 to Tekken 6, I'd yet to find out, haha.
I'm Glad that the Dreamcast works great!! Do you have any recommendations?
PS2- I kinda expected that. Have you tried the Play! Emulator?
DS- Can you do anti aliasing or Upscaling?
I'm currently in the process of getting it on the switch (Had a week long exam) but I'll gladly report any findings I get as well.

Well it’s the widescreen hack that sells Fpse for me, epsxe has one but the graphics flicker a bit. Although I think epsxe runs games better, I do get graphical issues when using the gl plugin. (Tekken 6 for PSP... at a push haha).
I’d recommend using redream for Dreamcast as it offers more support. I’m a big fan of the sonic games and hey run perfectly. I have a lot of fighters on there to and it’s much easier to set up 2 player with redream.
I haven’t managed to get play! working yet, retroarch crashes when I boot it and any app I’ve installed from google searches don’t work or are fake (or maybe I’m doing something wrong).
Yes, the DS can do anti aliasing, I can’t describe how nice they look upscaled. Especially the more 3D heavy games, run really smooth too! Loads of options, i’d Recommend having a look at a few reviews, but it runs amazing in the switch.
I’ve recently downloaded arc browser after a few days of trying to fathom the very poor tutorials of setting up Hyperspin. It’s a nice GUI to load all your games for different emulators in one app. It’s nice to look through all my roms with added cover art and fan art, it does cost like £8 though.
I will add that all emulators I’ve tried to run made by “Robert Broglia” like MD.EMU and Neo Geo emulators do not work in docked mode, it’s almost as though the apps themselves just don’t understand what it is. I managed to get a Sega CD game running through MD.emu docked when I loaded the game through arc browser and it loads and plays and then crashes when you exit making it so you have to undock and redock the switch.
Dolphin works fine for me but the remapping of control for Wii doesn't want to stick after i launch a game. When it does it seems to forget half of the remapping. Anybody else?

Are you certain about the version of KOTOR? I purchased first from Google Play and received version 1.0.6 which hangs, then bought it from Amazon Appstore and received version 1.0.7 which appears to be the latest currently available and it isn't loading fully either.
