I searched and see other issues with the gallery, but this isnt only an issue with the gallery. I cannot view ANY pictures.
If I attempt to enter the gallery, the screen goes black momentarily and then back to the previous screen.
If I go to the camera ap and attempt to look at the previous picture, same thing. Screen goes black for a moment and then back to the camera ap.
If I go in to Root Explorer and navigate to the DCIM pictures, same thing... Screen goes black for a moment and then back to the Root Explorer list of pictures.
Any suggestions???
I am temp rooted on stock rom with all ota's installed if that matters.
Not sure why gallery stopped working...
But I froze it in TB. It stalled, so I rebooted.
Obviously losing Root.
Re-rooted, thawed gallery and its working fine again.

I recently installed MIUI_1.7.22_Cobrato and I'm very happy with it. I love the lock screen function on it. My issue is, the camera does not work. When I try to take a picture, it looks like it takes a picture and then freezes. I can hit the home button to get out of it, and I thought maybe it might be saving the pics, but the sd card doesn't have any new photos on it. Any ideas?
Thanks
In stock image "Gallery", when zooming a pic, screen goes black .
After the ICS update, the image gallery also suffered a problem. Sometimes while viewing a pic and you double tap to zoom in, suddenly the screen goes black...no pic. Start to zoom back out and the image comes back..zoom in again..image black screen again. This happens with random pics and wont fix itself unless you Force Stop the app in Control panel. It wont always be the same pics..anyone else get this? Its not important, I just wondered if this is just something on my phone..
After updating to the OTA, everyone has problems until they do a factory reset. It clears out all the GB crap that messes it up.
Backup your data and then power off your phone. Take out the battery and put it back in. Then press power and volume down until you see he white screen. Use the volume keys to highlight and power to select "factory reset".
Forgot I wrote this, sorry. Already did a reset long ago as per suggestions by others for other problems since the update. So the problem never fixed itself. Its some crap with ICS. Its annoying because now I keep getting this problem.
Has anyone else experienced this before?
Ok..obviously nobody knows about this. I'm going to take a short video and i'll have it up within a couple days. This photo browser is pissing me off! Is there a better or just as good (FREE) app out there in the market or on XDA? Something that doesnt have this bullsh** problem in it? Thanks ahead of time for any replies.
Hi xda devs,
Just got into the rooting scene and am using a rooted Verizon gs4 using the exact instructions listed in the rooting thread. After I rooted it last night, it was working fine. I installed titanium to make backups of what I needed, and proceeded to uninstall a few bloatware apps.
I turn off the phone, go to sleep, wake up an hour ago and turn on my phone. I notice the clock isn't showing up on the unlock screen (stock, no password protect), and the lense flare isnt showing up when I slide to unlock. The screen doesn't unlock the first few times, but when it does, I get the error message "unfortunately, gallery has stopped". When I go to the gallery app, lt hangs for a few seconds, my home screen turns black (notification bar is still still there) and then it reloads with the error message.
Anyone else had this error? And if so, how to fix it?
After a bit of searching, i found and decided to install a different gallery app from the play store. I can access my images now, but I cant apply images as lock screens/home screens. It seems to work for the time being, but hopefully the guys who know about this (hopefully I'm not the only one) are working on a fix. The app is a ice cream sandwich knockoff, but I happen to like the stock jelly bean gallery better.
also, just wanted to point out that the lens flare/time/date disappearing only happens on power on, after phone has been booted up, it returns. The gallery stopped working message only happens on power on and when i try to access the app.
The clichés of asking for help in a forum as your first post. Oh joy. Either way, this isn't a huge problem for me, but if anyone knows how to fix it, I would be ecstatic.
When in in youtube full screen, it is exactly that, full screen, but, seemingly randomly, I get my notification bar that appears on screen along with the home buttons, and until I force close the app, they won't go away and take up screen space during a video. Any fix for this or am I missing something as to why it's happening?
Attached pictures show immersive and what happens after.
Phone is stock LG g2.
Using my Lg v30 on stock v21h EUR (issue exists since Two firmware updates!)
After i take a Picture with the stock camera, it is not saved to the device. A reboot or using a different galery app is not solving the problem.
At the beginning i thought I forgot to take. The picture... But the problem Exists! Even a friend has exactly the same issue. I cannot say when it happens. Its totally randomly.
Foubd nothing abiut thid problem in the internet. Only that the v20 had similar problems.
Anyone else out there with this camera behaviour?
It happens to me sometimes as well, but I think I pinned down the situation when it happens: When I use the quick launch action (double press vol-down) from a locked screen, snap a photo, then turn off the screen before I see the photo preview appear. If I remember to wait to see the photo appear it always saves the photo.

same issue. I always need to wait, till the preview appears, else the picture is gone....
