[Q] go back to original rom - Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello evryone..
i've installed the urukdroid 1.0 rom on my archos 70IT 8Gb on the internal memory..
I tried to flash a different kernel ( an overclock version), but my tablet starts with the original rom..
now, I would like to return to the original rom, the latest released: 2.3.81...
what I can do to return back like when I bougth the tablet??
P.s. in settings the tablet says that my Fw is already the 2.3.81)i suppose because of the kernel..
Where is my version of urikdroid?? Is the tablet clean from mark of the uruk rom??
thx for help

Boot up your archos and hold down (-) button
choose:
Recovery System>>Developer Edition Menu>>Remove SDE
Or
Recovery System>>Repair Device>>Format Device
Then download the lastest *.aos file from archos.com and connect your archos to your pc and copy the file and press the power button once.
Why you want to have stock? Urukdroid is fasfer and better

I bougth the arc 70 from a friend of mine
i would like to clean in proptely from latest mess,
then reinstall the urukdroid..
whit uk 1.0, before I could't use the usb, for a normal usb stick..
is it normal...
do I just need a normal cable, or I need the "official" cable from archos??

I think you have the wrong cable, you need the original one!
When you have the cable you should flash siberes kernel, with this you have full usb power 500mA, so every device that worked on the pc (with only one usb port) works on your archos too

[Q] 3 problems in my x10

Hi all. I have multiple problems in my x10i.it has 2.1 It was rooted and worked fine..few days ago I tried to wipe the phone and did the master reset via xrecovery ..after the restart it just hanged at the boot logo and xrecovery is not working from then....I wanted to update with SEUS via USB... but the phone is not connecting as well...What should I do? PLZ HELP ME GUYZ........
Hi,
Seus doesn't recognize your x10 even if you hold back button while plugging usb (flash mode) ?
This week my x10 2.1 crashed (I suppose it was because of rooting with superoneclick without rebooting immediatly), and wasn't recognized by windows. It was in a loop turnig on/off and only putting off battery could turn it off really. Big Problem.
The only solution I found : putting off battery, pluggin usb cable, holding back button and putting on battery. Back button still hold (like flash mode) until seus recognize x10. Then it runs alone and install rom (after I rooted with flashtools and launched jit optimisation, witch increase truely x10 performances!).
Probably seus not recognize your phone because you have a rooted and custom firmware in your x10 and xrecovery is not working because you did a reset and then you delete some files from your phone, you can reinstall it with the x10flashtool or to make a complete restore firmware whit the same x10flashtool
If SEUS/PCC doesn`t recognize your phone, remove them from PC and reinstall them.
You have an USB driver problem

Did you wait for at least 30 seconds before putting battery inside phone (to make sure clearing all memories? And sure you hold back button before, during and after?
Otherwise, what does happen if you press and hold volume button before turning on the phone (and keep volume button hold)?

Well your usb is definitly working then as its glowin green?..
Are you sure you are doing it all right? It happened the same to me, and it ended I was pressing the wrong buttom (I knew which one was the correct one, but was blind cause I was scared that Ive broke it totally), a day later I noticed it and I was able to flash my phone.
However, read a guide and follow it step by step, reinstall everything and start from beginning maybe?
Or use the repair function with PC Companion
Hi! I had the same problem!
1. Search and download from this forum Flashtool 0.2.6
2. Install it.
3. Download from this forum one generic ROM (for exemple X10i_2.1.A.435_GLOBAL-GGL GENERIC 1232-9897 )
4. Put the file in directory Flashtool/firmware
5. Launch X10flashtool.exe
6. DO NOT PUT THE USB CABLE IN THE PHONE
7.From option "flash select the desired ROM
8. Wait the program to begin(a picture will appear)
9. Pressing the back button, insert the usb cable.
10. Wait the flashing to begin and release the back button.
Follow instructions and WAIT around 5 minutes until flashing will complete
11. Send me two words if it helps you! Success!

[Q] My xperia x10 is caught in bootloop

I just installed busybox and then my phone is rebooting again and again!!
What can I do to stop it?
I don't know how to boot it into recovery. I did it once (before I installed busybox) by clicking the back button when it's starting, but it's not working now.
I tried to do it from quick boot (while my phone stays on for a minute or less) but it doesn't work.
I have xperia x10 rooted to android 2.2 with cyanogenmod 6
thanks in advance

1. Connect usb cord to computer
2. Turn off your phone for at least 5 seconds.
3. Hold the back button on your phone (Do not release)
4. Connect micro usb into your phone
5. Release back button
A solid greed LED will show if you have done it correctly.

Just a tip for you on this one
Disconnect the USB from the PC and plug it into the phone, do the steps above but at step 4, plug the USB (already connected to the phone) into your PC its so much easier.
I fixed it..thank you guys

x10 mini ( e10a ) brick

yesterday I was all in to these new x10 themes and stuff so I had to get everything installed, and as usual, I killed this poor little guy
I installed xRecovery and Busybox, and as soon as I installed the update.zip my phone got stuck at the SE logo after the first reboot, I'm clueless and desperate for help ( not really, but I don't like my old Samsung Monte so I would really appreciate some help with this x10 mini )
this might have happened because I haven't compared the ROM versions,
does anybody know how can I fix this crap? the phone is literally a brick now,
tried plugging both USB and the other cable, but nothing helps.
edit : I managed to get to the XRecovery screen, but still nothing, the phone is still getting stuck at SE logo.

Since ur able to get into xrecovery.. reflash the ROM with the flashable zip of the one presently installed..!! It will work..
Gintonic.SE by slade..
No such thing as "brick"..
Use SEUS or/and search for the term "bootloop" right here.
Wipe data from recovery is probably the easy and fast way out.

remove spaces please.
if you did, I should now tell you I tried this a few times and it has no use, I also tried most of the other options such as " Factory wipe " and " Wipe Dalvik Cache "
phone is still stuck at the SE logo, boot-looping
I will be very grateful if someone could explain to me what is this flashing all about, looks like it helped over 80% of the people who had the same problem, and I also need to know where I could get SEUS since I only have PC Companion and when I tried to download one of the SEUS versions out there it just said the version needs to be updated,
need help ASAP, thank your for your quick responds.
SEUS download.
And then root again, and then install CWM again, and then "install custom ROM" in CWM.
There is the option of "flashtool" but I don´t understand how that should be easy in anyway.
Root with super one click, search for AAIS and install that via "Terminal emulator" from Market, and then install custom ROM via CWM..
If ANYTHING above is weird or not understandable send me a PM and I´ll happily help you out with whatever it could be.
One tip is to save everything on the SD to be able to install everything via the SD whilst on the move, except for the rooting part that is..
Looks like I just completely killed the phone, accidentally erased the XRecovery.
Is there any possible way to re-install XRecovery without using the device itself?
well I guess same issue:
- one day my phone didnt connect to PC.
- it was charging but dead on USB side
- I couldnt use seus, wotan, flasher, nothing because I couldnt use USB!
- I downloaded custom ROM via wi-fi and through xrecovery installed it
- now phone hangs at SOny Ericsson logo boot screen
I cant use USB ( yeah, cable is 100% fine, tested, PC is 100% fine, tested, all drivers, etc. ) because my cell refused to join USB and refused even in xrecovery as mass storage (flash disk) so I have expensive piece of junk on my table with shining SOny Ericsson logo on screen
Got stuck in SE logo couldnt turn phone on or off or get any where
this worked for me
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1132185
if you can get in xrecovery try a diffrent rom
then you can you put a rom on your sdcard via the pc and back in the phone and use xrecovery
Did you guys wipe after install?
Try holding powerbutton+menu+backbutton and then connect the USB cable.
Let go of all except backbutton.
The green LED should light up and it should connect to SEUS.
If none of that works I could fix them IRC but that would require alot of trust from you as you would need to ship the phone to aswell as paying shipping both ways..
All I can give as security is my adress so you can see that I am who I say I am.
Oh, and I would do it for free as it´s just fun for me fixing bricked ones..
the problem is my phone wont connect to PC with USB.. otherwise it would be easy to put it again on life. many threads about it but not a single one when phone refuses to recognize USB inserted.
yup I´m always following step by step instructions and I did wipe after install. Tried that button combo..green light just blinked for second and nothing happened.
EDIT:
I´ve managed (after two days fight) to run my device again!!! USB is not working. its definitely dead. only charging works from wall charger not from USB port whatever one. I could only hope my x recovery will boot. Combo buttons werent working so I tried everything and the last step worked.
power button + left + middle + right one - restart
after the vibration put usb in it and insert SD card while holding right button ( i dont know if it helped or not but SIM card was removed too)
let it work about 10secs
release right button and my phone booted into x recovery!!! f..k im glad i have my phone back, uuuuuuuuuuuf
OK.
Try and leave it plugged in the charger for atleast an hour.
Could be the battery.

How to install stock ROM via SEUS??? Do u have any link or tutorial video?
Just download it from official SE site and then select Your phone and click on upgrade, after that select reapir. You can do the same with PC Companion by selecting repair.
Here is a small tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcBRZ9ApfJA
If You don't have the option to repair, PM and I will tell You how to repair it

I met the same trouble as yours. My Xperia X10A stucks at Sony Ericsson screen after installing MIUI ROM.... I did everything above guy said but still could not boot into xRecovery or boot loader (Back + Power, Volume Down + Power, Left + Right + Power, Volume Up + Down + Power... all did not work). Using SE Companion did not help too (it did not recognize my phone)
After costing me almost a day to find a solution, finally I found out a way to recover it
Just download FlashTool_0.2.9.1-GBready_root_xRec & a generic ROM in .ftf (not .zip) e.g: x10a_2.1update1_r2.1.a.0.435_generic.ftf (you can google to download both) and place that generic ROM in FlashTool_0.2.9.1-GBready_root_xRec/firmwares folder and open X10FlashTool application and hit the button Flash and choose that ROM... tada your bricked phone is back!
P.S you can use that flashtool to root and install xRecovery on your Xperia

it should works with both X10a & X10i... if it doesn't work, maybe PC lack of driver. Try to install ggsetup-2.2.0.10 & X10_ADB_drivers in /drivers folder first b4 you flash your phone
Or just instal SE Companion Sony_Ericsson_PC_Companion_2.02.015_Web (pls google to download) to get drivers on you PC before using FlashTool...

[Q] Tablet turns on when plugged in

I'm running this unofficial cm 10.2 rom, and I'm trying to use the sony flashtool to go to back to stock. Unfortunately I can't complete the step where I turn off my tablet, then plug in the usb cable while holding the flash key (volume down), because the tablet automatically turns on when I plug in the usb cable.
I know I'm not doing anything wrong because I've done this before. At the time I flashed stock while running the official cm 10.1 rom. What can I do to fix this problem?
EDIT: I forgot to mention that when it automatically boots everything is very laggy. This lag is gone when I manually boot the normal way.
EDIT 2: Don't ask me why, but when I deleted the clockworkmod folder from my micro sd card, the automatic boots stopped.

jup it´s a bug. the sony chargemon (the battery that showed on stock when you plugged the tablet in while it was turned off) isn´t included in cm10.x . the lagginess is caused by the governor which switches to "powersave" if the tab gets started by the charger (you can change it back to "interactive" in the performance options)

Probably, but all I know is this: I tried four or five times to plug in the usb cable without it automatically booting. Then I do one thing (deleted the clockworkmod folder), and the automatic boots stopped. I tried doing that after I read how someone fixed his automatic boots by deleting a keyboard app from his removable sd card.
I dont know but why not try to use SUS if you want to go back to stock.. it will delete everything though..
Are you using Emma?
