i am trying to root my atrix on bell network .My baseband is 1.77.15p and build is 4-0.37-23. Is it possible to be rooted as i can not find any info on those numbers. I read about flash first but it said NOT to flash on bell atrix. Any help would be appreciated..thanks

Could you please answer the question in subject.
I have read thread: "[SCRIPT] Root v2 for 4.1.57 (Stock 1.2.6 REQUIRED)". It says it requires 1.2.6.
I went to "[GUIDE] Flash SBF to Motorola Atrix 4G " about how to falsh stock 1.2.6. Therefore it's known that flashing back unlocked atrix can cause problem with WiFi.
As all I need from rooting is to use my device as WiFi hotspot for tethering I need WiFi to work with no problems.
Additional information: I live in Ukraine and I am using local carrier services, so I will have to provide real carier's APN to make newtork working.

My friend, i also have an unlocked atrix and i installed the 1.2.6 sfb file without having problems on wifi, then i applyed the root and updated to 4.1.57!
I installed barnacle and use it to wifi tether!!
All works perfectly!!!

Hello, I recently acquired a motorla atrix 3g (Dominican Republic), the phone is currently at android version 2.2.2 and I would like to upgrade to Gingerbread but when I try to find updates from the phone it points that the phone is up to date, this is since the carrier (Claro Dominicana) has not yet released GB for this phone. I would like to know the best method to do upgrade to GB preferably without rooting the device.

I'm hoping someone might know the answer as this is the first i've encountered such an issue.
Bought Galaxy S2 from Canada BELL carrier. got the phone unlocked previously. been flashing different ROM and update and is using XWLPM 4.0.4 ICS.
everything was working fine till about yesterday where a "Network Lock Control Key" popped up preventing me from accessing my SIM card. I do not believe my SIM is locked as i tested the SIM to another phone and it works fine without any security password.
somehow my phone is not locked again and i tried all the different unlocked method in the Playstore and nothing worked. it almost as seems the phone re-locked itself somehow.
my question is, is there a way to find out what network the phone is locked to so if i decide to purchase a unlock code, i know that it will work properly?
Appreciate any feedback or suggestions, as i need my phone desperate.!!! :crying:

I have the same phone. VS700 is another number which may help in determining root method. It's what the LG software for PC recognizes my phone as when connected through USB. It has an ERROR trying to read the SW Version though. Help!

I have searched forums and can find lots of info on how to unroot if you had done it yourself early but nothing exactly for me so here goes... I also have no experience with any rooting etc...
I have to send my phone in for warranty work and need to unroot it.
My phone was rooted / unlocked in Europe by a third party so i do not have the know how / files i have seen referenced in the forums, b/c they all state to use the ?kernal that you used to root your phone. Because I did not not root it myself i do not have this or know what it is / where to find it.
