I'm new here and would like to ask some help. I try the search for keywords of "O2 xda mini s" but can't see any results. I have one I bought few months ago. I have a German model (with QWERTZ keyboard instead of QWERTY keyboard) with UK ROM. The problem is how to upgrade or is there any latest ROM for Asia region. Tried to ask from O2 at seeo2.com but the model is not listed, only listed at o2.com.uk so the updated ROM is from UK only. Can anyone help me please? Thanks.

I've been to this site but they didn't have any Asia upgrade. Thanks.
Hi everyone
First excuse my language <<< Cause English not my first language
I am form Saudi Arabia and i have Samsung Vibrant T-Mobile which I unlocked it
Is there any one have idea if samsung will release android copy for the Middle East for Samsung Vibrant T-Mobile ?
Another question, can i change my phone language to arabic language by using copy of Samsung Galaxy s i9000?
Please help
Thanks all
I've been interested in the same thing, as I'm studying Dari prior to deploying to Afghanistan.
I haven't seen much that looked very promising, except that supposedly Froyo will have some support for Arabic. I think I remember reading that it will support the Arabic font, but that the letters won't combine.
Samsung has been working on updating the Froyo release for our Galaxy phones, and I think the update is going out for someplace in Europe by the end of October, the Vibrant should be soon after that.
I don't know about using an I9000 rom on the Vibrant, I think they have different radios. I don't know that it would work correctly...
I also think that Cyanogen supports Arabic, but it isn't out yet for Vibrant, again they're working on it...
Forgot to mention that the one site that I saw that had been showing some promise was here:
https://sites.google.com/a/ut.utm.edu/arabic-android/
The only problem is that it hasn't been worked on in over a year
you may flash a galaxy s rom that supports Arabic, check ce4arab for that.
Can someone with a Galaxy SII check if there is Chinese in the language list? I've seen videos showing the list of languages but did not see Chinese.
Thanks
Not seen it in European versions might be in Korean .
jje
I have just looked, it's not in the settings screen as "Chinese". The only languages I don't know which they are are in the screenshot. I would like to know the ways you can write it (chinese chars and non-chinese chars) so I can look it up.
There's no chinese in the UK version, but like previously stated it may be available in the Korean version sorry to disappoint
no problem for me as long as i can read and type chinese. i suppose once SGSII is released in asia someone will extract the rom so you can juz flash it over.
They look like Eastern European languages to me.
No Chinese in the Korean Version, my one only has two Language selections for the system, Korean and English. Surprise surprise.
no Chinese here yet
but there's a group do Chinesize now .just wait
Hi all,
Any news re Chinese support for UK version?
Thanks

I don't think it does, I'm not seeing it listed in the language option on my device.
If its the stock android 2.3, it should support it. I had it on 2.1 and because in Canada where I live, 2.3 is still not out so I'm using WB custom ROM and even though the latest ones (4.0.4 and v5) don't come with Arabic text supported as is, there are downloads for that package which makes it work
I just upgraded to v5 as well and reflashed the font&language zip file and my Arabic is back.
ok after searching i couldnt find anything on arabic language.
does the xperia mini pro support arabic language built in.
i had a x10mini pro before after it came back from repair it had arabic built in.
i was wondering if they have fixed this language or do i have to install a middle eastern rom to slove the problem thanks
