Whats yours? Are the 0003 versions out yet? Is there already a version comparison thread? If so, ignore me.
We mentioned the HW versions a while back, but it wasn't any kind of an official thread. I'm also wondering the differences as I have HW 0002 with light leakage like crazy around the bottom buttons.

well this is new. Thank you for bringing it to everyones attention.
I can't believe that it has only 1 GB of ROM.
I call BS on 1gb of rom. The evo shift has 2gb of rom lmao. Must be a typo

If this thing has a locked bootloader perventing us from loading custom roms then I'll go against everything I have ever said and buy a Nexus S.
If it doesn't, then I can not wait it's released~!!
lol @ people that haven't seen this in the other 500000000000 threads about evo 3d. Also no it doesn't have 1gb rom. it has 4.
so the site has an error? it lists 1 gb rom.
This is a new and interesting topic that needs more discussion!
That's why I posted this. Did they make an error about 2 mp photos as welll.....? lol

2d = 5mp, 3d = 2mp. I guess that is right.

no... every phone has had a locked boot loader. That doesn't matter. What we DONT want is an encrypted boot loader...

Someone is missing some details....
Video Recording: 3gp
audio recording: amr
Are they insane? .3gp and .amr audio/video sucks like hell in a simple nokia 7250i of almost 7 years ago...
for a dual core cpu using this formats of recording is a huge stupid fail, i hope they mess with the specs...
And what about usb host?

So I just bought a Galaxy S2 last night from Best Buy. I opened it up to see it that the version of the phone is Rev 0.1? How many revisions of this phone are there? If there are more than one is there one that is preferred?

I don't know, but I was reading somewhere else where it said that version 4 of the S2's can't be unlocked as easily as the original ones (using free software). So I was wondering if maybe that was fixed as well as the USB connection.
I guess I have read that people ruin their USB ports sometimes on these phones? I just want to avoid anything like that if I could
I don't remember what my original was, but the replacement I got is 0.1 rev as well.
I got mine last month ( refurbished) and its also Rev 0.1...

Thanks for all the replies. Ok so it is safe to say that the rev 0.1 is nothing old or nothing new. It probably is just the same revision that they never updated. Now I just need to see how it overclocks and can be unlocked and I will be a happy camper

Yet your rooted and running UnNamed?
If you did that much, it isn't that hard to run an app or switch a few files to do so.

I heard about a .2 leak on Mik's forum. Anybody know anything about it?
probably a typo. when they release ota's the numbers that usually change are X.XX
They wouldn't just change the last #.
*Edit: Looks like they did it once with the OG Evo, but it was the first OTA that was put out the same day they released the phone. A couple of other ones were leaked, so there could be some truth, but IDK.
**Edit: Also, nothing shows up when I search for it.

Is it possible to install the 1.29 update on an ATT HTC One? Would I require an unlocked bootloader to do that? Are there repercussions I should be aware of?
You can flash any International ROM once you're unlocked/rooted/custom recovery. All of which are most likely based on .29 WWE firmware.

If your reason for flashing is because the camera and beats improvements. There's no need. The att firmware shipped with the improvements.
And this should be in Q&A:thumbup:

Well that is pretty disappointing considering my pictures have horrible over exposure still with any kind of bright light or the sky. The 1.26 to 1.29 images from the PocketNow test are vastly improved. My AT&T One still looks like the pre-updated international firmware pics.

The whole point of having software versioning in increasing order is to correspond to new developments. I have hard time believing the camera, beats and any other "improvements" made in 1.29 is in AT&T's 1.26.
Surely if this were true someone would have some proof. Let's see it?

Doesn't require anything special. Just takes them getting the tuning right. Then they bring the intl version up to date. Hence them getting different version. Remember they released first.

I'm still calling BS. It makes absolutely no sense that one version would be different than another for the exact same development. Anyone that believes otherwise is just naive. There is proof one way or the other, it just has to be revealed.

Why not. Do you know how product cycles work? They just don't make all the phones at one time... Theres the pre production phones which were at the announcement and early reviewers. Then they would of started the intl version production soon after if not it was already done. If they decided to make an adjustment during the making of the intl ONE it's easier to continue the product run and fix with a ota than it is start all over... US versions have to be picked over before production. So they would of had time to tweak software.
So no it's not naive. Saying there's no way is naive .

Personally I rather one of our smart forum members to give is the 411 on the different binaries within the firmware. As I have said before, the proof is there.
