Hi all.
My phone is running on XXKPH deodexed, with CF-Root addition (as seen on my signature) and all working fine.
I just flashing a new theme (Honeycomb KPH) then I found my phone getting bootloop, so I had to restore to the original theme. I tried to flashing a new theme again (Dark MIUI KPH) and get bootloop again, I've restore the original theme again.
My question is, how to apply theme successfully without getting bootloop again and again?
Thanks for your help.
Did you mount system before flashing new theme?

If ur using CWM to flash themes u may experience problems as those themes u tried aren't compatible with CWM3 and above, I had the same problem so now I'm stuck with stock theme until Ginger real is released

I had the same problem. Couldnt do anything about it. I had already backed up my rom before flashing. So got my ace running again.
Yeah I'm currently using CWM. Thanks for your information, I'll try to apply manually with Root Explorer...

is there a new version besides 2.5.1.2.
every time i install a theme it gets stuck at vibrant start up screen. i have tried different themes and it has the same result. I'm thinking it's the CWM. any ideas?
The CWR version has zero to do with it. More than likely you are trying to flash themes that are not compatible with your rom.

This is true you need to check as now with GB, and Advanced Froyo as well as standard froyo,,,, different varieties of bootloaders etc. alot of the themes are rom specific. Also,
Try booting into recovery manually by using the vol=/- method this is the best way to get into recovery anyway, if it doesn't work using that method then it never will. BUT 1st thing make sure what you flash is compatible with your Rom
i have the stock rom should i flash a different one?

I don't think any themes work for the stock Eclair or Froyo ROMs.
I installed a custom theme and was wanting to try out a different one. I am on the UnNamed 1.0.3 rom, btw. Do I have to revert to the stock 1.0.3 theme before flashing a new one in CWM or can I just flash the new one without reverting?
Thanks.

You can just flash the new one. When you flash a theme, it replaces system files. Flashing a new theme will just replace the old theme files.
Thanks for the quick answer! You guys here are the best with helping out. I have always been an iPhone person, from the original to the 4, but finally wanted something new that I could actually mess around with. I can't believe it took me so long to go android!

Lol....that's what a lot of people say.
The only thing is, that some themes may not "theme" all of the same applications. So if you have a situation where one part of an old theme was retained, it means your new theme didn't change everything that maybe another theme chose to customize. In this situation, there are ways to revert that part to stock or even to a different theme. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there lol.
Good luck.
If you end up changing themes alot, you can always just flash the rom again and then do whatever theme you wanted. Flashing a rom will always undo all theme changes.
Let's say I was to flash the same rom again (UnNamed 1.0.3). Would I need to do a wipe first? Thanks again for all the help.

Generally, no. Most people will say yes. If you're updating from UnNamed to a newer version of it, then no.

Me too with rooted tab, however, it does check for and download updates and asks for a samsung acc. However, installing the update got a message error. Btw, I'm looking for a fast stable ROM with HC 3.2 and a pre-installed launcher. Anyone got any ideas?
Hi.
to all: go to this address and follow the instructions:
http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-tab-10-1-p7500-honeycomb-xwkl1-firmware-72067/
then install samsung apps or a launcher or everything else...
I've flashed it myself several times till now(I've bought my tab nearly a week ago and have almost boomed it)
if you have the same prob again tell me to upload some videos...

If ur loking for stable HC3.2 try Overcome 10.1 Series. Most stable for 3G GTab but removes too much from TouchWiz.
I would personally recommend GALAXY TASK 14 or Clean ROM 2.0 but only if u have WiFi only GTab.

thanx it work
but why there is no updates?
If you mean updates for android os,Ice cream sandwich and jelly bean have already been released(ICS without camera and JB without anything right now...).
I recommend only ICS CM nightly if you ever want to flash...
I rely on the tab to take pics a lot, so I cant afford to lose the camera. Clean ROM's developer seems to have moved on to another device, so I think I'm gonna go with Task. Thanks!
Ps: This may sound dumb, but how do you update CWM, and how to install the b00sted's themes here ? I downloaded it but have no idea how. Does it run on stock launcher?

http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
the b00sted theme doesn't run on the launcher it replaces it...flash this too using clockworkmod...

In order to install cwm touch, you have to put it in a .tar file and use odin. Or make a cwm flashable zip.
you can find non-touch recovery in here:

sorry for the under-construction(UC) parts...
Hi,
One of the things that I don't like about SGS3 int stock roms by Samsung is the fonts, especially the Arabic font so I am wondering if I can change the font to original JB fonts. I have tried apps and replace fonts however, I had the following issues: sometimes the phone didn't start and stuck in start-up or the new font has not been changed in all locations (sms still using Samsung stock fronts...)
I only want to use Google JB fonts in my SGS3 stock rom, I don't want to install any custom rom.
Thanks guys!

It didn't work for Arabic fonts
Same issue for me, i didnt want to root, just rooted atleast i'll replace the font and then unroot it..
After rooting, using font installer (root) application from playstore, i bricked my TAB2, it last in downloading and flashing stock firmware. Now i'm really scared to do or playing with /system partition..

If you don't need to backup your data, just flash back the stock ROM using Odin.

Installation
1 Backup Rom
2 Reboot in to Recovery
3 Select Install zip from internal memory
4 Select theme, and press install
5 Reboot
Install only with ClockworkMod recovery 6.0.1.2+
or with new siyah recovery duall boot
(The install may take 3 minutes)
