So it'll keep shutting off. Mobile Network will shut off and wifi will as well. Whenever I try to turn it back on it says Turning on... and sits there. Then I have to reboot.
I think it might have something to do with my Airave... I dunno.
My wife had the issue. Sprint forced a replacement due to a defective unit.
I'm 100% sure yours is too

Had an issue staying connected to the network. Wasn't ever at proper reception strength.
They could tell. Immediately. I'm sure your the same.

Do you guys have Airaves? I've been talking to a Airave Tech Department and am being told it could be the Airave... and it being my ISP because QoS and "jitter" numbers suck. So I'm on with tech with my ISP. Annoying.

I really just need to rant and see if anyone else ever suffers the Sprint multi text message issue? The same texts from random people 10 times in a row is a little annoying. Anyone else ever have this happen?
Happened to me for about a week. I. Reactivated my phone, seemed to fix the problem permanently.

What you you mean Reactivated? Did you reset factory?
This happened to me. Went away after a shut down and reboot.
Airplane mode usually works for me! ...

The problem is usually your signal.
Happened to me several times. Not too happy with sprint and their crappy 3g at my house, either.

well I have a great signal at home and at work, but I still have this issue quite often. really frustrating. I have factory reset, re-SBFd, rebooted, airplane on/off... nothing permanently solves it for me. every few weeks I have this issue.

This happened alot when I had a friend with a Windows Phone, since he switched to Android I've had no problems. Maybe it's the sender?
This happens to me too. I'm on stock rooted. For me it seems to happen when my phone gets low on memory. I'll clear some memory and then a bunch will come through.

I've had this problem too. I would turn it off while I'm out of the house to save battery but it would turn itself back on. So I would turn it off again. It gets annoying

Happens to me as well. Not sure why. Any solutions to get it to stop?
Disable sprint connections under settings, more settings, mobile networks. Uncheck the sprint connection optimizer option. Should be good to go now

guys go to system settings>more settings>mobile network>automatic connections>deactivate Sprint automatic connection
oh em eff gee thank you so much. i HATED this...
Thank god! I thought this was a bug and it was really getting frustrating.

So this is probably a dumb question but I have nevr had it happen before. My DNA the last couple days intermittently has been showing the 3g icon even while I'm connected to WiFi. I'm not sure but is that a bad thing or not?

If you send or receive a MMS while on WiFi your data will come on for a second or 2

Thank you. I honestly wasn't aware of that. And I was sending a panorama photo I had just taken around that time. Good to know.

I have the same thing happening but it's on 4G and 3G sometimes, usually it doesn't show any data transmission but just seems to stay on doing nothing for several minutes. Mine does stay on until I shut off my mobile network and when I turn the mobile network back on it stays off. With no text messages or anything going through.
Is there a way to modify the wifi and mobile network polling rates? My phone dies like a dog at work due to no reception.
Thanks

Wi-Fi scan is a tweak in build.prop. There is a app called .prop tweaker or editor I believe.
Idk about network though

Whenever I'm in a poor signal area I just turn off mobile data and wifi. That way you don't have to worry about your radio constantly searching for better signals when your not even using it.

Yea just turn off data and WiFi. I saved HUGE amounts of battery doing that in bad signal area

I just turn my phone off completely. Great battery life, and I never have to worry about it searching for signal. Bonus: with all the new kernels popping up, when my phone is turned off it sleeps like a sloth.
Try it out!
Appreciate the replies but i use offline apps all day so i can't power down.
Anyone else know?

I have been seeing this issue with my phone for 3 days. I will connect to my home wifi and it will have a strong signal in my room. But then randomly it will disconnect and then reconnect and it disrupts me if I'm using my wifi. It does this often. I'm going to go stream some music in another part of my house and see if it cuts out there or of it only does it in my room I'm not sure right now. But does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do so it stops doing this.

So I think I got this figured out. I recently changed the security on my router to WPA/PSK and this is when my dna started acting up. I temporarily removed the security key and now it's not doing it. I guess I will throw a WEP key on and see if it disconnects and reconnects.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda premium
Ok looks like I solved my own problem. I changed my security to WEP and it has stopped disconnecting. I guess the dna just doesn't get along with WPA/PSK or at least mine doesn't.

It seems to be router specific. I have 2 routers in my house. Both are wpa, one will drop out from time to time on my and the other one doesnt.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Well it's working now so I'm all set. I saw some posts on a verizon forum of people having the exact same problem with WPA. So yeah probably just my router.
