I've had this problem too. I would turn it off while I'm out of the house to save battery but it would turn itself back on. So I would turn it off again. It gets annoying

Happens to me as well. Not sure why. Any solutions to get it to stop?
Disable sprint connections under settings, more settings, mobile networks. Uncheck the sprint connection optimizer option. Should be good to go now

So it'll keep shutting off. Mobile Network will shut off and wifi will as well. Whenever I try to turn it back on it says Turning on... and sits there. Then I have to reboot.
I think it might have something to do with my Airave... I dunno.
My wife had the issue. Sprint forced a replacement due to a defective unit.
I'm 100% sure yours is too

Had an issue staying connected to the network. Wasn't ever at proper reception strength.

Do you guys have Airaves? I've been talking to a Airave Tech Department and am being told it could be the Airave... and it being my ISP because QoS and "jitter" numbers suck. So I'm on with tech with my ISP. Annoying.
I have an issue using the wireless tether app included with monolith theory. When ever the screen turns off, I lose internet connection, but it instantly comes back when the screen is turned back on. I had the same issue with the first theory Rom as well.
Has anybody else experienced this?

I haven't tried the wireless tether, but have you checked in settings under wireless and network - mobile network settings to see if the box that says "enable always on mobile data" is checked? If that box is not checked, the data will turn off when the screen goes off. Hope this helps!

In the Wireless Tether App, unchecked Disable Wake Lock.

I will try it when I get home and see if that fixes it.
Thanks

Can someone PLEASE tell me where to find the wifi calling service and or app so that i can get rid of this garbage annoying service and icon. Thank you.
No it's not in my settings. Yes I'm using a custom Rom but no one else using the Rom is having the issue so if someone could just tell me where to locate it in root explorer that'd be great. Thanks
Btw I deleted the WiFicall.Apk in system /app and it's still there so I know that's not it

Have you tried tried unchecking the box under Settings/More settings (under Wireless and network)?

IN the phone app, menu settings, should be at the bottom.
Under the dialing tab, hit the menu, choose call settings
at the bottom under Internet Call Settings
Try Titanium Back Up from Playstore, and go to Menu ---> Then Batch, find it and un-install it from there.
Lol it's not in either of those places. It's not in titanium backup either. Anyone know where it is in system?

Wifi calling is an awesome feature for those of us who travel internationally or have bad coverage in our homes.

Lol thanks for that but it doesn't help my situation. Well I solved my own situation by installing a new rom. So its all good now.

Does it count as calling from abroad? Or does it just use regular minutes?
Go to settings > More Settings and uncheck wifi calling
And wifi calling deducts from your limited minutes. It isnt free calling but its just in case you have a bad phone signal you can use someones wifi to make calls. Once you make that call you cant be out of the wifi range or your call will drop. I disabled mine.

So this is probably a dumb question but I have nevr had it happen before. My DNA the last couple days intermittently has been showing the 3g icon even while I'm connected to WiFi. I'm not sure but is that a bad thing or not?

If you send or receive a MMS while on WiFi your data will come on for a second or 2

Thank you. I honestly wasn't aware of that. And I was sending a panorama photo I had just taken around that time. Good to know.

I have the same thing happening but it's on 4G and 3G sometimes, usually it doesn't show any data transmission but just seems to stay on doing nothing for several minutes. Mine does stay on until I shut off my mobile network and when I turn the mobile network back on it stays off. With no text messages or anything going through.
Is there a way to modify the wifi and mobile network polling rates? My phone dies like a dog at work due to no reception.
Thanks

Wi-Fi scan is a tweak in build.prop. There is a app called .prop tweaker or editor I believe.
Idk about network though

Whenever I'm in a poor signal area I just turn off mobile data and wifi. That way you don't have to worry about your radio constantly searching for better signals when your not even using it.

Yea just turn off data and WiFi. I saved HUGE amounts of battery doing that in bad signal area

I just turn my phone off completely. Great battery life, and I never have to worry about it searching for signal. Bonus: with all the new kernels popping up, when my phone is turned off it sleeps like a sloth.
Try it out!
Appreciate the replies but i use offline apps all day so i can't power down.
Anyone else know?
