Apparently this is a known bug for the stock music player on the SGS2. Has anyone managed to fix it?
Winamp and other apps don't seem to have this kind of problem at all.

[Q] Choppy Music Playback

My X10a with the rogers firmware has choppy music playback, even when mediascape is the only app open. I've re-installed the firmware 3 times, any suggestions?
Hi,
I seem to be experiencing choppy music on a separate device the Motorola Droid Pro. Using either the built in music player or WINAMP.
It seems there may be an underlying cause to both our problems. Were you able resolve yours?
Have you got access to another SD card? could be a fault on that? what's video playback like?

So you are unrooted, GB, and able to browse podcast through Music? Guest I need to tinker more.

Could always use Cherry Rplayer a try from the Market.

I too have the Issue..
For me Internet Radio plays fine on Wi-Fi but not on 4G.
Did you tried Music app with both connectivity?
Internet Music functions great for me over wifi and 3G. It's not that many channels though. Podcasts also works for me.
Rooted 2.3.4. OEM Standard Dock and Car Dock. Not deodexed.
With the previous music player you could stop in the middle of the song and two days later you could press play and it would go again. Has anyone else had this problem? I listen to audio books and after I close out the music player I have to search through it again to find the right point.

I noticed it also. I could normally press play and get the last playlist I was in.

Problem with music player

I love the music player on my Photon, especially the podcast section. I recently unlocked and flashed homebase rom and after doing so, whenever i go to the podcast tab on my music player it gives me a message saying data connection not available. i also tried the internet radio tab as well and it says the same thing. i can get on websites with the browser just fine, it just seems that my music player has lost connectivity. any ideas on what may be the cause of this?
I suggest try with WiFhi, if that works, try a didfernt radio? Just me.

I've tried it over WiFi, same result. By use a different radio do you mean use a different device?
My issue with the music player skips while in the background. And its not just a normal skip. Its like im dragging my finger across the screen intermittent music. Its really driving me nuts but at the same time i am really diggin this music player and dont want to give it up for something else

Album Art in Music Player

Hey guys
I'm having a strange problem with album art displaying incorrectly on my Prime. Basically the album art shows the completely wrong image for all my albums, they're just all mixed up and I can't work out why. The issue has only arisen since I upgraded to ICS and I don't have any problems with the same albums on my Galaxy S2. I've already tried deleting my music and re-copying it back over but this didn't fix it. Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a fix?
Thanks in advance for your help.

This might not be the fix for your original problem but I find this app to work well;
Cover Art Downloader
Market.
Same thing happened to me. I now have a bunch of albums presenting random images from all over my Prime as cover art. Annoying...
It happened to me in the native app. Once I use doubletwist its fine.

First, I'm assuming that you're using the default Google Music player. I had a similar problem pre-ICS.
I solved it by using Cover Art Downloader and also by clearing the Music cache by going into settings->Apps->All->Media Storage and clearing the data. Music then (eventually) reloaded all of the correct album art. There may have been a reboot and/or a force stop of Media Storage in there too. I can't remember for sure. I do know it took a few minutes before I started seeing the correct album art.
Thanks for the help. Solved by your suggestions of clearing data and then using Cover Art Downloader (even though it said I had no missing covers!). Thanks again!

Q Music player issue \ music skipping

I'm having issues when playing back music on my HTC one using the stock music player. The playback works fine for a couple of tracks but then the music just keeps skipping on to the next track. The skipping is infinite and won't stop. Even after I kill the app and try to restart the music, the skipping continues. I'm forced to reboot the device and kill all apps running on the phone to stop the skipping, however, even after the reboot when I restart the music player, after a few songs the problem continues. In my search for a fix of the issue I've noticed this to be an issue on the HTC one x. I've tried the disable auto play app as well as trying to use the phone in airplane mode but neither of those fixes have helped. This issue occurs when I'm using the stock headphones and the stock music player. This phone has been otherwise great but I do use my phone as a music player with headphones so I'm hoping someone here can help me out or if not I'm wondering if I should try and have it replaced under warranty since the phone is less than a month old. Thanks in advance for the assistance with this issue.
I'm having the same issue. Anyone? I've also experienced issues with audio studdering badly when streaming. Bandwidth isn't the issue, I know that much... It's especially bad with Pandora

i use isyncr to transfer and sync music between the HTC One and iTunes ... this happened to me once when the app didnt upload my songs correctly and messed up the playlist files. ... erase all songs and start over again .. see if that helps ... it seemed to help me ..
