Just bought a 1500 mah spare platinum battery from best buy for my wife's fascinate and when we tried to charge it ,it says "Unable to charge unsupported battery see owners manual " Looks like the battery is made by seidio . Package states it works for the epic ,fascinate, captivate, and vibrant . Anything I can do before I return it ?

Any of the custom kernels will run the battery properly. Sammy put something in there that if it isnt an OEM battery, it won't charge. The devs around here got rid of that

1500 mAH Battery - good!

Hey guys,
Last week I buy an 1500 mAH Battery (CS) for my Herald.
Included today I worked 5 days with my Herald (WLAN , Phone, SMS, Calender..) and I have 28% Energy
Good Performance....
Whats your experience with the 1130mAH Battery? Do you have other Battery tested (bigger than 1500?)
Thanks Oliver
Where did you get the battery from?

No, you won't lose data
And this is not due to the pda, this was a 'feature' from WM2003
WM5 and WM6 both have the data/settings stored on a rom chip which doesn't lose its data when you soft-reset.
Are these batteries reliable? Don't want to have them exploded in my pocket! Has anyone already ordered?
Do these larger batteries fit with the original battery cover?
HERE is a 2400 maH Battery.
But It's a larger Backcover...
Thanks for the tip ... ordered one of these to compensate for running BatteryStatus.
5 days !! thats crazy talk !!
i get 2 at most on mine.
is this battery the same as the one you have?
http://www.gizmos2go.com/xcart/product.php?productid=8625
That's the one I ordered, but I haven't received it yet. They don't tell you when they're out of stock on their site.
cool rob, let me know how it is when it arrives.
why is that guy getting 5 days of charge?
Bought one too
After reading the first very positive post about the 1500mAh battery, I've got one myself too. Unfortunately I am quite disappointed. The life seem to be the same or even worse than the original battery to me
Just GSM eats about 3-4%/8h but when I turn the device on I can see the percents going down anxiously fast even with the backlight on the first level
Got the 1500mAh battery this past Friday. So far, looks like I'm getting at least two days, maybe a little more between charges. Pretty much what I'd expect given the modest increase in amperage. Overall, I'm pleased given that it only cost about $30.
Hi there, I'm using the 1500 battery since monday and can't say that I see any difference to the standard 1150- no breakthrough and I don't see how to get over two days with normal use
what about the 2400 maH battery. Are there any benefits of getting that or not? (other than making your phone feel and appear heavier)
Where did you find a 2400 maH battery? And will any accessory for the P4350 work for my T-Mobile branded "Wing"?
Can anyone comfirm that the 2400 battery will come with the cover for the T-mobile Wing?
Please let me know... I will like to have one

There is a guy on ebay selling a 3000 mah battery for the wing with the blue cover. It looks large to me but if you need the extra power it may help. On ebay search for "wing battery". I think his seller id was nakedcellphone or something similar.

here is a 2400 from boxware. what people should also let people know is what their overclock settings are and what people consider normal use. Im always on my phone texting or doing something.

Using another battery

Hi guys:
Is it possible to use a battery from another phone? Because sometimes chinese mobiles can be compatible with Nokia's batteries and for a little amount of money, we can get some cooler Nokia's ones.
I'm getting a ZTE Blade this week, so I will tell you my impressions ASAP.
Regards.
I wouldn't recommend using any other battery than the official one provided. You're asking for trouble otherwise.
Why not? If it has the same voltage and fits perfect, there isnt any reason for using this battery. There are other manufacturers of mobile phone batteries that make compatible batteries, so It wouldnt have any problem.
Anyone tried it? I will make a study of MP batteries and then I will tell you if I found something interesting.
Regards
why would you do that when a new oem battery is so affordable?

More capacity power than the stock one. Finally, I have bought an emergency charger for 10 euros, that have 1900 mah and its affordable for my Samsung Wave and this phone.
Hope that it will solve all battery problems.

Interested aswell in the review, was considering carrying a spare battery but this looks handier.
I considered using another battery too, but this option has multilple advantages:
1) It has 1900 mhAmp, so it lefts 500 mAmphs free to make another charge.
2) I'm using two smartphones, so I can charge both ones.
3) I don't need another charger or charging it in the phone and removing it. I just charge the emergency charger and I can use the phone again.
BTW, my ZTE Blade seems to be the AMOLED version, with low battery consumption. I'm using stock GB firmware, and after a day using 2G network, WiFi, playing Angry Birds for 30 minutes, using Whatsapp and a few phone calls, I have 30% left. SO I'm quite impressed with battery life, hope it will be as good as my Samsung Wave (I use it around 2-3 days with no problems)
I will make a full review when I will receive the charger.
Regards.
I bought the 2800mAh version of that charger, and man does it work great.
I suppose it's the only must have accessory I can think of to a smartphone.

Hyperion Samsung Galaxy SII 2x Battery - Review

Amazon Link: http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Sams...JE8K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1319900790&sr=8-1
Includes: 2 x 1800mAh Battery and 1 x Universal Wall Dock Charger
I was tired of having to charge my battery, and wanted a backup battery to carry around with my phone in case of an emergency (or I want to game...a lot). Therefore, I purchased Hyperion's Samsung Galaxy S II extended battery w/ a travel charger.
So far, I've been very happy with my purchase. I have yet to ever have any battery problems of any sort. When my battery finally runs dead - I just take it out, and put the new one. BAM! 100% battery again! The dead battery then goes on the charger, and the battery that was on the charger before (but is now done charging), goes in my pocket!
PROS: Two 1800mAh batteries provide a bit more capacity than stock. Great to have another battery with you - while your 3rd battery is charging (One battery in device, one in your pocket, and one charging on the wall charger!).
CONS: Cannot charge device with one of the batteries. You will go into a boot loop (AT&T only). This isn't a problem for me, though. I've only used the wall charger to charge my device since I got it. Oh, and I use Kies Air to transfer pictures, music, etc.
Q&A:
Question: Is there a "boot loop" with these batteries?
Answer: Yes, on AT&T variants at least. I do not find this a problem - I use the wall charger for charging.
Question: Are these batteries as good as the stock battery?
Answer: They do have a bit more capacity, but seem to be about the same. Maybe a bit better than stock - but not by much! Still, stock has a great battery life, and so do these!
Question: How does the Wall charger work?
Answer: You plug it into your wall, and place the dead battery which you'd like to charge into it. A RED light means charging, and BLUE means finished.
Question: Is there an extra USB port for charging on the wall charger?
Answer: Yes. This means you can charge your device (stock battery) and another battery at the same time.
Thank you for reading my review on this great product!

Sean,
I noticed your feedback and thought I would let you know that the reason you are having the issues you are having is as I can tell by what you stated in your feedback you have the wrong phone for these batteries you bought. You purchased batteries listed/advertised for the i9100 ( galaxy SII, the international version ) and have attempted to use them in the ATT SII i777. I am willing to help if you would like with either a refund or a replacement ( we have about 6-7 days until the i777 2x battery and charger set launches ). Please let me know which you would prefer, and I am sorry you have had to deal with choosing the wrong batteries and hope we are able to help you in this matter!

Yes please let us know how to get in contact with them as I too have bought this version for my att sgs2 and they dont seem to last as long as my regular battery...would like to get them replaced.
Oooh I hope the i777 version don't have boot loop. I'll be all over that.
I'm assuming that the stock battery charges just fine in this wall charger as well?
2nd day of owning the hyperion battery... it appeared to drain fast in the first cycle (i lost 7% at 80 minutes idle... on stock, i would lose 1%-2%). im draining the battery again for the 2nd cycle... i hope it improves, because it's certainly not as good as the OEM battery for me. i guess 6ish percent per hour for idle isn't too bad... should last me a whole day, but barely.
did you guys who reviewed it well have to go through multiple cycles?

Anker 1900mAh

FYI I got two Anker (1900mAh) off Amazon yesterday. It fits and works but a few times today the battery icon shows a ? and the settings show -1%. After about a minute the correct % comes back, not sure if it's the batteries or just this one. I'll try the second one tomorrow.
Really interested to get an opinion on battery life with the Anker batteries.
I am probably going to end up using them as backups, both of them take time before the % of power left will display. I never got the full 5 discharge/recharge done on one of them, but even without that it was lasting longer then the stock, as it should. I see someone else ordered some too, I'll be interested to see if those have the display issue.

Can you give any indication of how much more than stock you would say they last? Is it the near 20% as it should be?
I also get the question mark on the battery, It seems to be when the phone wakes up or when I plug it in it takes a few seconds to find the juice amount then it will start charging..
The battery is lightly taller then stock but it fits perfectly inside of the phone case. Tobad about the battery meter. Im going to run it for the day see if the ? will stop.
I would advise not to buy yet.
i too have the "?" on grey market batteries
i have bought several grey market batteries and get the question mark also, i've noticed these batteries are 3.7v and the oem battery is 3.8, i wonder if that is the culprit? I am hoping these hong kong manufacturers will get it right soon, i did find an oem battery for about $23 after shipping and am contemplating buying it, and yes my chargers don't fully charge my oem battery either, its always at 91 or 93%

Seriously; I have 2 "High-Capacity Gold Batteries", 1930 mAh, for my Titan.
When plugged in they show either 255% or -1% charge, never go back to normal.
When unplugged, they never show 100% charge, maximum of about 94%.
They seem to last about the same as the stock battery...
Hi, you have to full restore your HTC Titan (Backup recommended) if you get a new battery pack! I guess it indicates what the specs are in the battery. I know this because I bought a new battery pack and I had this problem! So I full restored my phone and now it's fine!

[Q] Samsung Extended Battery 2000Mah

I have one of these, but im pretty sure its dying.
i tweak like crazy when it comes to kernel, and just dont think im getting what i should out of it.
Like yesterday, Installed Hydrog3n rom on saturday night, Hardly used my phone (2 hours 26 mins screen time) Battery is down to 36%
No wakelocks, nothing like that
Thinking of using my Anker 1900 and returning my 2000mah and getting a replacement. I suppose it couldnt hurt could it?
Have you checked to see if you're getting comparable drains with your original 1650mAh battery? Or check with your Anker 1900 first.
Have you checked out the 2000mAh forum? Perhaps theres someone on their with the same rom and battery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239719
Yeah. I've put my Anker in. Its on charge. Will see what battery life that gives.
I contacted Handtec (The place i got the battery from in Jan 2012)
They told me to contact Samsung for a Replacement on 0845 7267864 / 0845 67267864
