[Q] USB Debugging broken - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
The other day I put my phone into a boot loop (I think by reinstalling busybox) so I reflashed the stock firmware (.435).
Then when I tried to root the phone via flashtool an error message came up saying please turn on usb debugging and when I checked usb debugging was already switched on. So I am wondering if I broke the usb debugging and if I did is there anyway of fixing it.
Can anyone help me?

[Q] Can't find driver

Hi. I was about to unlock the bootloader and, when I connect the phone turned off, there seems to be a not installed driver that Windows can't find.
Anyone knows wish driver could be missing and where can I find it?
Thanks.

what you have installed pc companion and gordon gate on the pc?
finished installing make sure to connect the phone to the pc recognized.
I installed both and still don't work. The S1tool don't recognize the phone.
Now, the driver SEMC USB flash is installed but appears with an yellow warning sign.
After I checked this topic i unnistalled all and delete the problem driver.
Installed only SEUS and worked fine.
Bootloader unlocked

[Q] SE Boot looping (SEUS,FLASHTOOL,SEPCC - NOT WORKING)

Please someone advise
I have read about a million threads and am unable to find the answer
My SE x10 mini e10i is in a constant boot loop showing the SE logo
I have tried using SEUS and it worked first time around, but after having tried a different rom to flash again with same problem
This time around it wont repair saying that the version is up to date
Also same with PC companion
First time around Flashtool did not work when I had my phone in USB debugging mode and started to flash it put USB debugging mode off and rebooted the phone. The only ftf that worked was nAa-08 - 2.6.29.6 loader and kernel. The rest of them it gave me the error of USB debugging turned off.
Now it doesn't even want to pass the logo and there is not CWM or xrecovery on the phone. When i try to flash it,the phone resets out of Flash mode and says USB debugging if off please turn on
Please if someone can advise. I even tried updating USB drivers, changing admin rights ex.

bad luck 4 u......
i have this problem like this x10mini(my friend phone).....seus not work....flashtool say usb debugging if off...
but PC companion work for me...
SE X10mini with GINGER-DX
HAAHAHAH!!!
Can't believe it,after no sleep and lots of coffee
Got it working, plus flashed GingerDx which is one awesome amazing rom
The whole problem was with Windows 7
After extensive googling, I came across information that Windows 7 compatibility has issues with USB Debugging drivers
Had to set restrictions within Windows and then force install specified drivers
I used Flashtool with admin rights and first tried to flash a whole .ftf but did not succeed
The only .ftf that flashed was the E10_nAa-08_2.6.29.6-nAa-08.ftf
but that only includes a kernel and loader (but which helped me to be able to enter recovery
This is where i copied the Gingerdx.zip file on my SD card and tried to install
Did not work thou, baseband issue like before
So I took a chance, went back to Flashtool and tried to flash another .ftf file
2 of them failed due to the USB debugging issue. I un-installed the USB driver from computer manager, set Flashtool to only install baseband files and then hooked my phone up in flashmode plugged it in and wola, the driver like before installed (correct one for flash and not mass storage)
Thus from here did the whole .ftf flash and then in recovery mode installed the GingerDx.zip which worked now due to the baseband being correct
Thank you coffee, screw you Windows 7 (PS : also being 64bit)
And thank you for one awesome O/S stelios97
Sir I have encountered problem like yours, but with SE WT19i Live,
Please Elaborate this one..
Flashtool to only install baseband files and then hooked my phone up in flashmode plugged it in and wola, the driver like before installed (correct one for flash and not mass storage)

debugging mode and rooting

I installed all motorola atrix 2.2.2 froyo drivers on a xp sp2 and was running good then put the phone on debugging mode and connected by usb but windows was like looking for other phone and asking me to install again for drivers i didnt installed so using the last version of superopenclick then hit root but it just stay on looking for device and never found it. so cant root
when I turn off debugging mode all is ok again and windows doesnt ask for drivers .
Simply install the drivers windows is searching in debugging mode and try again. I don't know why but it needs two kinds of drivers sometimes

[Q] [Xperia GO ST27i]USB not recognized after CM9 installation

Well here's the problem which is quite awkward.
I installed CM9 on my Sony Xperia GO from freexperia project. It worked really great. :good:
the issues is, however, after 3rd time I installed CM9 (I was trying to get CM10 FXP on this device), my PC won't recognize the USB device( i.e. my phone). I am pretty sure I followed all the steps, I wiped the phone after installation everytime. I have MTP (setting>storage>MTP).
I have all the drivers re-installed on my laptop (running on Windows 7). I have tried another USB cable as well. tried all the USB ports.. but I can't make this machine recognize my phone.
and please considering my expertise level, start from level 0.
a big thanks in advance!!

Did you try connecting your phone on fastboot mode and install drivers from control panel?
Yes, but there is no prompt for missing drivers

I tried to connect phone in fastboot and flashboot mode, however, there was no notification for missing drivers. Only the blue light on phone turned to red after sometime ( and green for flashboot mode). I had similar problem earlier as well (not the same one), back then the PC used to show that driver was missing for fastboot. I simply used to go to flashtood>Driver folder and used to install the drivers. It worked earlier. Not anymore though.
Could there be possibility that I messed up (during installation somehow) some phone file which accounts for connectivity with the system?
do you or anyone know which files in phone are responsible for such functioning?
USB not responding
Have you tried using a different USB-port on your PC?
Under Windows XP i have to reinstall all drivers when connecting a device to a different USB jack.
sorry for later reply

I think I tried everything. The weird thing is that the same system with same USB with same port sometimes reads the USB driver. but, when I restart the phone in bootloader mode, it doesn't recognize the drivers again. However, this sometimes is very rare, since the last message, perhaps 2 or 3 times.
Could it be possible that there have been any hardware issue?

Did you look into device manager if its recognized there? Do you mean fastboot drivers or normal MTP drivers?
To install the fastboot driver, you need to deactivate the driver signature of windows 8. (just google for it, its very easy)
If it is not recognized at all, try another usb port. Does it work on other PCs?
