When I leave my GT10.1 plugged in the screen comes on. It seems to do it when it reached 100% the screen comes on and remains on till I turn it off.
Is anyone else having this problem?
No problem here, but are you still stock?
It has done it since I got it on 6/17. I am using pershoot's kernel right now.
I would backup and try a clean install of the stock rom to see if that solves it. Or you could try writing over the existing rom to save your settings.
Did you enable Settings->Applications->Development->Stay Awake by any chance?

*facepalm* I did have that setting enabled. I am going to put it back on the charger and see if that fixes it.
Boy do I feel dumb.
that setting did the trick. Thanks a million.

I have been running Das Bamf 1.7 Stripped no for quite some time without any problem, but recently I have been having quite a few random reboots. This morning I try to turn my phone on and It will not respond. This has happened before and all I had to do was plug it into the charger for a few minutes and then do a battery pull and it would start up. I tried that and all that it will do is give a small vibration and then do nothing.
Any help is appreciated.
I would try leaving it plugged in for like an hour and then give it a shot to see if it'll start up. The problem is every reboot eats a good percentage of battery so if you have enough of them you'll pretty much drain it down to where it will not power on.
I had this issue a long time ago but after leaving it plugged in for about an hour I was able to bring it back up easily.
Its kernal related

Hey, i am using thory GB rom lastest release 3.5.1 and it works perfectly but when i did the speedtweak.sh and set it to extreme my phone will not boot now it stays stuck at HTC and reboots itself but never goes past it how could i fix this please.
Was there a resolution?
No. I finally was able to boot into recovery and i deleted the kernel and re installed it and it finally booted back up idk why that did that if the speedtweak.sh preset settings should be safe.
hello,
i have this problem with my gt-i9100.
sometimes when my phone enters deep sleep after a time I can't turn it back on. I've tried calling it, it sounds as if it'd be turned on and ringing from the caller phone, but the sgs2 does nothing, as if it'd be turned off. I can only enter download/recovery and reboot from there
I currently have neatrom xxlsj full, happens with other ics/jb roms as well.
any ideas?

come to think about it, i think my phone was like 50% last night, then went to sleep and in the morning it was off and had 0% battery. I'll have to check more carefully, that might be it. Other than that during normal usage i find the battery life quite normal.
this issue happens in wanamlite/neatrom with their respective kernels
i don't remember having this issue in ressurection remix, but i found it quite laggy and even after fixing permissions/reinstalling rom i was getting force crashes while going through settings, so i didn't hang around it too much.
betterbatterystats app is good to finger whats goin on with the battery, in relation to the rom u r actually on.
you can also try cm or stock to see what happens.
from sii xda-ded
i was right, the battery drains like hell when it's in sod.
came back to stock. i'll see what happens
what's going on?

geez, that's a hell of a drop there. Try calibrating....but your looking at a wipe & probably a faulty chip (u better hope not, it's not fun when it's not hardware).
I've seen a couple of guys with this problem, hell sometimes i unplug mine at 65 and goes up to 68 on it's own.
I recall a portugese guy that had a problem like this, he could go from 70% to 1% in a blink; he did get another battery tho.
damn, most likely faulty chip.
i'll try calibrating. either way, i still have the warranty. sucks anyway, they're slow
So I'll start off by saying I'm on Cyanogenmod 11.0 12/15 nightly, running CWM 6.0.4.5, and crpalmers kernel for nightlies 5.2.11.
While trying to take a picture today my phone turned off (had 50% battery left) and would not turn back on. When I plugged it into power it took a little while to power on, as if the battery was dead. When it finally turned on it booted to recovery, stayed on for a bit then turned off before I could do anything. When it restarted again I tried to re-install the rom but it died again before it could start. So i figured i would just keep it turned off and let it charge. As soon as I plug it in, it boots. Plug it into the computer, same thing. Any ideas???
Update: So I found a more powerful charger, 1150mV over a 1000mV, and that was enough to keep the screen on and charge the battery enough to let the phone boot normally. But now the phone only stays on for about 20 min before it reboots. Still not sure whats going on but atleast it boots.
Sounds like a bad battery to me.

Yeah that's what i was thinking. Strange considering it was a warranty phone.
i have the same problem do you fix it ?

Once I let the battery charge fully I just returned back to stock. The how-to is in the forum some where, I can find it later but I'm on my way out the door. As of right now I'm s-off but completely stock and seems to be working fine. Maybe try a different kernel first and see if that helps.

Hi all, recently my phone when on charge the screen won't turn off, even when locked it turns itself on?! Any ideas to fix..
If you have activated Developer Options then look in there to see if Stay Awake is ticked, if it is then untick it, if that is ticked then the screen will stay on when charging.

That's not ticked, it seems quite temperamental. Can't work it out!
Hmm, have you tried turning off Daydream in the display settings if you use it? Only other things I can think of are maybe a Xposed module if you use them or a app running in background.

Don't use daydream!
I've figured that it only does it from 90% to 100%?! Weird...

Well if there is no fix, then i'll have to take it back, as it keeps the phone very hot by keeping the screen on and off.

There is a small fix... it is to use a USB cable that has no "data capability".
I've purchased a battery pack which has a short usb cable, which has no data connectivity function (only used for charging) and that will not trigger the monitor on in anyway. For the temporary time being, I have that used to charge every time.

Mine don't have this problem, maybe you can try contact sony care, they might can help with it.
So one day my phone decides to not turn on. No clue what happens, pull it off the charger, then nothing. I try to flash stock hoping that would help but it would go into download mode or even acknowledge the fact that it's plugged in. After repetitively removing and putting back in the battery then plugging it in to get into download mode, I finally do it. I think the very first time I flashed to stock it just turned off halfway through. I kept flashing stock a bunch until it finally worked. I boot up, but it won't complete a full boot. I flashed stock again and here I am. It is perfectly capable of making a full boot, but tapping it with a medium amount of force immediately shuts off the phone. I checked and cleaned the battery contacts- nothing. But that was the only cause I could think of. I've tried other batteries and it's the same. I don't know what to do. I don't know why it's doing this. Any ideas? What can I do to fix it?
maybe a wire or some thing to do with you're power button has came loose.

Power button? Why would losing connection to the power button make it turn off?

How would I check for that? I've taken it apart many times. I took it apart recently as well, and everything seemed fine
I would check to make sure everything is plugged in securely and if possible adb logcat while tapping the screen to see what the out put of the log. it may take a while to pin point the problem but honestly I don't remember how I fixed that issue its been so long I forgot.
