First of all.. sorry for my bad English
My Galaxy Ace wont go web, gmail aplication (says that i dont have a network connection) wont work, same with market and with all aplications with net connection. My Phone isnt locked (code *#7465625# say that is all locking OFF), also Use packet data is on. What can be wrong, on my Xperia x1 works perfectly. Wi fi work great.
Please help
Check your APN settings.... If they are not there, contact your service provider..
Sorry for that stuipid question, but what is APN Settings
Just a moment.
Settings > Wireless > mobile networks > apn settings, add your provider apn. Or you can use this app "apn global".
XDA ♥
APN is empty.
If apn emty, you should config apn, contact your network support if you can't config righ apn :d
After config apn, you can use 3g to connect network

Hello
I searched the forum about the topic, but no real answer. The problem is that, the MMS is disabled during being in roaming and having data switched off. Is there a way to make MMS messages working while the Internet data is switched off ?
Unfortunately, MMS requires a data connection.
I'm surprised, because on stock 2.1 ROM of desire it worked OK (internet data in roaming was blocked while mms messaging were working). Same thing I remember from WinMobile. Does anybody else is in peace with that mmsing is just not working in roaming ? No one did anything ?
okay. there is maybe solution for this, lookslike issue.
I did the same, that in Settings > Wireless & .. > Mobile networks > Data roaming - Unchecked to avoid data in roaming. So No Data, therefore no MMS. okay, no acceptable for me.
try this: in roaming(!) just un-check Settings > Wireless & .. > Mobile network (connect to internet) or in Statusbar menu in roll menu tap Quick settings and un-check Mobile network and then in Mobile networks menu (setting menu) check back Data roaming. So the MMS send and receive could be possible.
I understand this logic, as internet connection is something else than use MMS APN to communicate through mobile network data.
Cheers, Ondrej

Will check it in couple of days

Hi all,
Long time reader & proud owner of the ST15 (upgraded from the X10 Mini!!).
I'm unable to use data via the mobile network as I cannot save an APN configuration.
I have tried:
- creating a new APN with all the correct details, but when I hit save...it doesnt show up in Access Point Names...(saves it in a hidden menu).
I did however download an APN off/on app via wifi which actually showed all the apn configs I can not see in Access Point Names...when I turn the access point ON via this app/widget the data still does not work :'(
- I have also tried a factory restore on the handset and also applied the firmware via the SE deskstop software to no avail.
Any further suggestions? When I get back home I'm going to root it
- I have also tried to obtain the settings from the Sony Ericsson > Internet Settings submenu to no avail with+without WiFi.
(apologies for the double post, got an error saying not enough characters...).
What model is yours? St15i or st15a? Who is your carrier? Correct me if i missed anything.

Model is ST15i (is there a difference between ST15 & ST15i??), carrier is in AU, handset bought from HK/China(?)
Australia uses 850 don't they? maybe depends on carrier. If you have sk17i, that covers 900/2100 band wich i dont think telstra (popular in au) cover at all. Are you with telstra?
To comment further the mini comes in either i (international) or a (america) has far as i know.

Hi All
I found the fix..
talk.sonyericsson.com/message/96845
I disabled Lock SIM card, then obtained the settings via Sony Ericsson > Internet Settings submenu and it worked.
I have re-enabled Lock SIM card and all is well
Awesome glad it'd work for ya cheers

This is a problem that stems from very specific types of SIM cards (no, not all SIM cards are equal! )
The only known fix so far is the one ST15 found: Disabling SIM card PIN request (and should you need to, enabling it after the APN's have been added).
Well done for solving your own problem
I have same problem with xperia mini pro sk17i, firmware 4.0.A.2.335. APN not saved when sim pin is enebled, when sim pin is disabled all is ok

I have never been able to get into Sony Ericsson > Internet Settings, it says it will download the setting but then a connection error message shows up, even if I'm on 2G/3G which works fine with other apps Is there any workaround for me?

Fixed
Had same problem and fix it by turning sim pin of and then ordering internet parameters from provider. After delivering there vas no apn memorized in phone, so i turn it of and turn it on...THATS IMPORTANT IF YOU WANT APN PROFILE TO Be MEMORIZED IN MOBILE. If you dont have automatic delivery from provider, you make manualy your own internet profile with APN and then turn of phone and turn it on. That helped me...hope help you to...
yeah. this happens to on my mini pro. even after downloading the settings on se>settings>internet

It's needed for data connection. Google your provider's apn, then go to Wireless and network settings, mobile networks and in apn, add apn. Configure as provided.
i am using singtel( singapore line)
when i go to my mobile network , there's only use packet data , data roaming , access points name(when click its empty, and there's no add option ) use only 2g network and network operator . so how i gonna add apn???

So I'm having internet connection issues since early Feb. Been on tech support with T-Mobile.
I noticed that there are no APN settings. Support told me to enter epc.tmobile.com but when I have it entered, I can't send MMS.
Can anyone share their apn settings IF they have any?
I downloaded the HTC app that automatically configures your APN settings. All you have to do is choose the network.
Worked perfectly for me on Wind Mobile.
The htc connection setup does that automatically
I have a Titan II and when I open up connection setup it says
"The carrier doesn't exist in database. Please contact your carrier for connection setting and go to Setting > Cellular > Edit > APN for further configuration."
Any thoughts? Can someone post there apn settings?
