I running SynergyROM Nightlys 2.3.4 with the MR2.5 radio. I connect to 4G and have 5 out of the 6 bars for signal within seconds of turning the phone on. I can surf the internet, facebook, netflix with no problem at all. Touch phone dialer from the home screen or the phone in the app menu and either input the phone number or select someone from my contact list and press call, then all it does is resets to the default phone dialer screen asking me to enter name or number again? And when ppl try and call me it rings and and then gets voicemail. Whats strange is I can text message...need help. Gonna upgrade to MR2.75 to see if that helps
This sounds like a problem with the dialer itself and not the radio. I would suggest trying to re-flash the ROM to see if it fixes it. Also check the notes on the nightly or the forums for it to see if people have had similar experiences. When ROMs get updated so frequently its not uncommon for something to get borked for a day.

Just to add to this, when you reflash make sure you are wiping and clearing the dalvik cache.
i think its sense 3.0 thats doing this. Any rom that has this my phone dialer will not work. did you get this problem fixed?

Hello! I have been kind of tracking an issue, and it seems that there is just no rhyme or reason to it.
I seem to miss somewhere between 25-50% of my incoming calls. I'll be in full 3G service in a lot of these instances, GVoice alerts me to a new VM which is my clue.
I tend to listen to the VM then return the call and always ask if they just called, and it is always within just a few short minutes. So the VM is getting to me, but not the call.
I thought that maybe my ringer was getting turned down - not the case.
I thought that maybe things were going awry, but every time I test, the phone rings as expected...
I am running KangBang(CommRom)1.3 with the OTB Kernel (v1.3 as well) and my radio is ED01.
Unfortunately I cannot say when the issue started - it may have been there from the get-go, but unknown to me. I can, however hypothesize that I have seen this issue over more than one radio (and therefor ROM and kernel) version...
I am at a loss and rather unsure how to proceed on troubleshooting the problem.
I did call Verizon Tech Support today to try to make some progress, but they simply had me do a *228 2 to reset roaming and test. Of course the test call came through (like when you have a rattle that won't reproduce at the mechanic's shop).
The tech who helped me was really kind and actually SMS'ed his info to me in case I need it, so I have an avenue, but I think it best to return the call with things to try. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in coming up with things to try.
TIA.
had an issue where i missed 2 or 3 calls when i first switched over to new radio and ROM, I re-wiped and reflashed everything again, radio, ROM, and kernel and haven't had any missed calls since,
give that a try, just back up everything with TiBu
I will give that a try.
I did a full wipe this weekend when I was trying the 1.4 kernel, but I then restored a CWM backup, so I'll give that a go.
Many thanks.
I have the same issue everytime I do a fresh install of Google Voice after a long period of not using it. Check your GV settings, try toggling 'do not disturb.' I can't really pinpoint what fixed it, but all is well now.

This sounds like an issue with Google Voice and not your phone or rom. I'd uninstall and redo as well as double check all settings, do *228 (both options), reboot, etc.
Samsung/USCC have acknowledged a missed calls issue on the Mesmerize that they are working on releasing a fix for. No idea if it's possible that the Fascinate has the same issue but I wouldn't be surprised.
Thanks for this! I did re-wipe all data and caches to no avail. Had not even considered GV as a culprit... Many thanks!
I've been having this problem for quite a while now. Halfway through a call, it disconnects, and I can't end the call, I'll hit the home button, and have to roll down notification screen, and end it from there. After that if I try to make a call, it just gives the error "call not sent". And I can't receive calls too. Only way to get it to work again, is by rebooting.
I've tried diff roms, flash to stock, wipe, etc problem still there.
I'm now on superatmos 3.0 with galaxy RC4.1.
Its a long shot but try taking out sim card or try a different sim.

I'd try the sim change definitely. it's worth trying if only because sometimes its the obvious things that are the problem. Let us know how you get on

But why does it happen only sometimes when on a call? Data network never has issues.
Same trouble with my Samsung Galaxy R

Same issue in Sgs2GT9100G 4.1.2
I also face this issue of "call not sent" in my stock SGS2 Gt9100G 4.1.2, this happens infrequently, have changed SIMS, cleared cache, cleared all data before flashing but not luck, is is got to do something with memory full?
I have a similar issue for about 2 months on the SGS2. This is how it goes:
I first had CyanogenMod 10.1 with no problems at all until i installed total recall for the s2 (for legal purposes). Bad luck with that because after i installed it the phone didn't have any sound at all (music, calls, microphone, headset). I didn't have a backup so i had to reflash CM 10.1. Ok, for a while until i got reports that i don't receive phone calls, i was told that my phone was closed (even though it wasn't). Luckily i have a second phone. So, i restarted the phone, and it got back to normal. Next day, similar issue, and so on for a week until i decided to change the baseband. Did that, worked like a charm for a week and then it got back to not receiving phone calls. Decided to change to AOKP (06.15 - i later updated to 06.30 but had to downgrade to 06.15 again because android keyboard kept giving errors). No problems for a week, but finally the problem came back and persisted. Changed about 3 or 4 basebands with no luck. I sometimes check if i can send or receive calls with my other phone, and if i don't, i restart the phone and comes back to normal for a few hours or a day or two. Signal bars are full even when it doesn't work.
I got in huge trouble with this problem and i would really like a suggestion. Please help...

Same issue here. Gotta change my SII, not buying a SAMSUNG phone any more.
Tried EVERYTHING and nothing works. I am pissed off. Camera also gives me problems...
EDIT: FINALLY WORKING, YAY!
After having wiped, rewiped, changed ROM, changed modem... Another ROM switch+EFS restore (altough my IMEI was correct) calls are working again.

This fixed the issue for me.
Thanks very much!
I'm having a similar issue. Each time I go to make a phone call, It gives me the CALL NOT SENT error on the first try. Then I try a second time and it goes through just fine. I've contacted TMO support and here is what they said after troubleshooting: "Alright. Upon checking here, I can see that we already exhausted all our basic troubleshooting on your phone, and I do apologize for the inconvenience. Please do contact out Technical Care at 1-800-937-8997 or 611 on your phone."
I'm wondering if any of you have a suggestion other than new sim card or factory reset. I'm going to definitely stop by a TMO store to ask them about the issue, but I figured I'd try here before going out there.
Here's a video to show you what happens: go to my youtube channel to view the call not sent error. My User account is DeSaaD37. This forum wont allow me to post the link to the video since I haven't posted ten posts yet. So stupid!
Solution
What seems to be happening is the WiFi calling bake in is struggling to activate properly against the chipset structure of Samsung. I watched error codes pop up when the phone first wakes up. Calling is not available right away. When Wifi calling is turned off completely this issue goes away. Not sure what needs to be done to fix the problem so you can leave this on.
-- I have done this now on several samsung phones and has worked on each one (all tmobile)
Both are running latest Energy as it seems to be the most stable rom. We are having two issues.
First issue, we can not view or send text messages from a specific person. We have to delete the history and then we can view/send messages.
Second Issue, Same as above except the stock or any other text messaging up stop working, only through a wipe and reload can this be fixed.
Third, Both phones would not go passed the start up animation. Had to wipe and reload.
4rth, Phone will be on then turn off without any notification. Need to pull battery then it works.
There are more issues.
I'm sure this is nothing hardware related, more software related.
Is development for the Amaze dead? Most roms either still need a lot of work while others have not been updated in months.
I had an atnt S3, I loved not having any issues. ;,(
Soff?
What bootloader.?
Did you double flash? (some say it helps)
Here is my process
Super wipe
Flash
Fix permission
Boot
Boot
Flash again
Fix permission
Boot
All boots are cold full boots not quick etc
If you want to flash app data etc from another rom your asking for problems
If your on tmobile there are mms issues that some roms need a fix flashed too. (dunno which tho.. I'm on wind)
If you swap mms apk's some just don't work well with our phones.. Get/use/keep the right one (as system) then add chomp or gosms or whatever
e-Sex.. All of the carpral none of the tunnel
there's been lots of new rom releases for the amaze recently since CM10 got data working, and id say speed rom or fourth bar infusion are among the most "stable" and "best" looking roms out... personally i would get a superwipe that krook6023 posted earlier somewhere in the Q&A section, flash super wipe and flash a rom or flash back to stock and start over again because it sounds like you did something wrong and what recovery are we using to flash these said roms?

I've been on NRG since I got my Amaze, and I don't have these issues. The only problem I have is an occasional lock up when using BT, but that is very rare. One thing you might do is a reset from recovery, and then do not restore the phone - manually reinstall all programs. It is possible that your restore is putting problems back into the device.
This would include not using Google to backup your settings before reset.
i'm running the blackstar blackjelly version 1 (4.1.2). today i noticed i wasn't receiving any calls. i can make calls, have internet access. the apn setting are correct as per at&t. i've tried to make a new apn with the same settings but no luck. i've wipe cache, reboot, what i called a soft reset( take batt out hold power button for 1 min). nothing seems to work. i haven't reinstalled the rom because my phone is almost dead and i don't have my charger. i know there are problems with 4.1.2 but couldn't find anything about no incoming calls.

well, that was a possible quick solution.
I don't remember anybody else in BJ thread having this issue, I ran a search and found nothing.
this last flash you just did, did you flash it dirty?
maybe you could go into APPS/ ALL/PHONE. force close, clear the data, clear the cache.
go back out and make a quick call. that will start your phone up again from the force close. then try calling your phone
let us know
I guess I type too slow

i tried that but didnt post because it didnt work. i did work on my htc aria after the factory update messed everything up
So I recently flashed OctOS on my LG-LS990 and I am having this very annoying thing happening where I keep getting notifications that I have 1 voice mail when there aren't any. I've gone into the phone app and cleared cache, which makes the notification go away but then it comes back within a few minutes. This seems to happen quite frequently when I am at work and the signal is spotty. I've also called myself from a different number, left a vm, and then checked it from my G3 and deleted it and the icon doesn't clear. Also rebooted the phone numerous times, but it still comes back.
I was using youmail after I flashed the ROM, but have deleted it hoping it would resolve this issue. Which it has not.....
I was using Resurrection Remix ROM prior to this and initially had the same issue, but it cleared up when I did what I listed above. Anyone out there have any other ideas for how to fix this problem?
I have had the same issue and have asked but no answers yes. It is not a huge issue but really annoying. I have flashed Resurrection and OctOS and never could get it to stop showing up. I would get the VM notification EVERY time I got off of a phone call.
79 views and still no solutions
Go back to stock. Fix it. Then you might need to reflash CM instead of restore.
That's probably your best option
I have gone back to Stock several times using the Flash tool. When I do I have no more Phantom VM's. Root and flash a stockish ROM and still no phantom VM. But Everytime I flash any CM based ROM and get off of a phone call it comes back. after EVERY call. Aggravating more than anything.

Same here. May look at trying a different ROM. Such an annoying issue.....
Maybe try to just hide the notification. That is what I did. This is an old issue with sprint. If you really want to get rid of it, you have to find an old flip phone or something before android. Activate it and then go and clean out old voicemail's. I have been dealing with it since HTC EVO days. I have never gone back and done the real fix. If you really searched google there is info on this annoying issue.
