Hard reset everything works fine but after a few hours it started again so I took it to a cooperate store she said come back in a hour they are going to do a test and make sure our not battery related the and asked for my permission to factory rest it I have it to them pickled it up and notice no factory reset just a damn software update I was holding out from updating now I'm pissed the phone is still heating up man

I am on 3rd, 2nd phone on Monday 18th lastef two days that one after tech sayung my home was in hole in signial area. Owbing own business I am all over town, git 3rd after tech said 2nd was not gwtting signal. Why is this pgone so bugy? I have never had to keeo chaging phones to get one to work. This ones volume is better even thuo its hardware 002.
The one I got is perfect but I think I can notice the screen tilt but it doesn't bother me I have to do a pixel test

Maybe you guys can give me suggestions on getting mine replaced. I bought mine from a Sprint rep, not at his store. Evidently he bought it cheap by adding a line of service, then turned around and sold the phone to me. I've been having crappy 3G service, went through tech support over the phone w/no success, also took to a Sprint store and they ran diagnostics for a couple of hours, still same issues. They recommended taking the phone back where I purchased it to get a replacement (I do have TEP). Well, can't reach the guy I got the phone from. Shouldn't I be able to take to any Sprint store to get it replaced since I've only had the phone for a couple of weeks? I don't want to file a claim.
877 875 4886 call sprint retention let them know that you keep having to take the phone back due to the same problem and your really upset about it but you have been trying to bear with it but its not acceptable to spend all that money on a phone and its giving you trouble already. They will then set up an appointment at your nearest cooperate store and put a not on your account for them to swap out your phone

The guy at the Sprint store (third party BTW) said that they were out and had no idea when they were getting anymore in. I only have about 8 days left til my 30 is up. I Called retentions and they said they could send my a loaner phone (bb 8330), refund my money and reset my upgrade. Should I take the offer and go to a corporate store for a new 3d, or keep hassleing the third party until they get a batch of un-defected 3vos?

return it for your money (and upgrade)...and wait it out until another batch comes in or go somewhere else for one. the phone is worth it....and this dev community seals the deal....
I think its time for you to start showering and also washing your clothes. This "dust" you speak of, funny how you read VERY little about it. Quit being picky and use your phone, its not a fashion show.
Because I paid good money for my phone and if anything is wrong with it, I want to be the cause of it, not come out of the box defective or blemished. The dust or particles under the screen are an eyesore and visable at all times. Quite frankly, as a paying customer, I have the right to return it until I'm satisfied. If your phone came out of the box with a crack on the screen or a jacked up power button, would you "just use your phone"? And by the way. Do get good reception under that bride where you live? Damn trolls!

I highly doubt all 5 of your phones come fresh out of the box with dust under the screen. Return your phone and get your upgrade back then go to a corporate store from now on.
Not all of them had dust. The first one had a very green camera, the second ones camera wouldn't focus and the third one had a purple tint in all pics taken in sunlight. We compared them to the managers phone, and his camera was perfect. So I traded up again, this one had dust , dead pixels and what looked to be a cat hair? under the lens. And this one is crooked and dusty.

Just curious, what was wrong with your MoPho? I just returned mine today. Loved the phones build quality and the GG screen but the screen hurt my eyes and i just couldnt take blur anymore. My 3d should be here tomorrow
I could have gotten a faulty device but it was just very laggy and glitchy. Rebooted once and shut off another time within a hour.. Said forget it and swapped it for my evo 3d, glad i did.

BTW The whole Green Camera issue is a SOFTWARE issue not hardware. So returning it for that was pointless as HTC does know about it and does plan to have a software fix for it. I know this as I have had the same issue as well. Patients sometimes is what it takes. Especially when dealing with New items and especially ones that use software.

Dude just leave it alone, sure it sounds suspect but weirder things have happened... And my pictures do not favor green at all, may be a software issue but it def. varies from device to device then. Also you really think this store would be taking back all these phones without seeing problems? Youre crazy then. As he stated he compared it to the store managers camera.

If you have had more than 2 defective phones in a row you should return it, stop buying it, and get something else. No matter how you look at it (****ty luck, ****ty phone, sign from God, whatever) this phone is not meant for you and you should stop trying.
A Blackberry? Good luck with that, I would stick with an android phone for sure.
I just got my rezound from Amazon wireless. I love the phone however I.have the light leakage and its already overheating. Do I.need to send it into Amazon or can I return it at a local Verizon store? I I've read both circumstances happening. Just wondering if anyone else has done either yet. Also if u send it in can u get a loner? This is my first Verizon phone. Thanks
I think you have to use amazon for the first 30 days then you can use verizon. It may be worth it to put up with it until verizon can help you.

I got both a Rezound and RAZR from Amazon. The Rezound is great, but I had some serious issues with the RAZR overheating and searching for signal. Called Amazon, they shipped me a brand new phone. Swapped SIMs, mailed the old phone back. Problem solved, and it didn't cost me a dime. Think shipping was 2nd day air.
EDIT: I also tried VZW first, because it would have been quicker, but they directed me to Amazon.
So they send one first... Have the replacement phones been without flaw or is it the same gamble. Might be better to wait the 30 days and use Verizon so I can check it...

The only reason I suggested waiting and using Verizon is that Amazon was backordered last time I checked.
Send back to Amazon. I just went through this and don't be afraid by the 2-5 week wait. They told. Me that and got an email a few days later it was being shipped.

Amazon is excellent for returns/exchanges hands down. I assume it will be the same process you request an exchange and they ship it out to you. They generally gave me overnight shipping for free (even on a saturday) to get me non-defective item. Then you just ship it back to them within a resonable time frame with the included label and you should be good to go.
You guys do realize Amazon will send you a brand new phone and if you wait 30 days Verizon cannot swap in store and will send you a refurbished phone thru the mail.

Verizon has a 14 day policy normally, but now if you purchased the phone after 11-15 you have until Jan.
Wouldn't the phone have a warranty through htc as well? Sounds like ill be contacting Amazon tomorrow though. Thanks a lot guys. Hopefully that one doesn't have the light leak. Lol watch me have a new problem. Is rather have the leak than pink buttons and all the other problems I hear about...

I'd be willing to bet that it was a CSA who probably doesn't understand what light leakage is. Between my 3 rezounds and everyone I have looked at in the stores you can see the LEDs through the bottom of the screen when the soft keys light up which is what is causing the bleeding. There is no way to fix it except by turning off the LEDs or by lowering their intensity to improve on the light leak.

Went into verizon and they won't take the phone tho it sounds like I may as well deal with it. They really pissed me off though. I wanted to put on my work discount. Supposed to be 22% line 20% data. I called and reviewed online before I got verizon and the rep told me I would get the discounts. The store wouldn't discount my data because he claimed I need to have a 5gb data and hotspot plan. I was never told this and most likely wouldn't have canceled at&t during the penny sale. Anyone think I could complain enough to get this changed? Can't seem to find a phone number for them to save my life lol

Check this out, live in a city called Oxnard in California. I've been calling stores looking for the phone. Today a best buy in another city, Thousand Oaks, said they had 2, which was perfect, since me and my dad both are making the upgrade. We drove an hour and a half away through memorial day traffic to go get them. (We both thought it was too good to be true.) Well we finally made it there safely, with both our moods great, especially since we've been waiting for this phone like crazy. We walk into the store (Best Buy Mobile) and are ready to make our purchases.
Guess what... The fukkface was confused with the O.G. model. They at minimum could have gave me a $10 BB Card, but no, they were instantly rude. This could have easily ruined my day. (which I think it did, but I'm in denial of being angry. LOL)
To answer your question, I do not know exactly, but I believe they are still periodically being checked by customs, but not held like crazy like they were before. My local Sprint store told me my pre order would be in by Wednesday.

My phone loses data so much that I can't download a different ROM. Doesn't matter where its 3g or wifi, my phone constantly loses signal just long enough to disconnect and cause any large downloads to fail. If there isn't a software update for this in the near future I'm going to be so upset because I bought the phone on day 1 which means my 30 day return window at best buy is up tomorrow. If this doesn't change by morning, and I don't see why it will, lol, I guesses I'll have to return the phone for a new one. Any suggestions or comments are welcome.

I'm in the exact same boat as you. Bout it on day one when Best Buy could only fullfill the pre-orders on the 23rd of May. Sad to see my GF stream netflix on her EVO Shift while I struggled to stream music on my EV0 4G LTE. Don't know if it's worth turning it in for a new one, or if this is just how these phones perform? *SIGH...what to do...what to do? Does it have to be taken in to the same BB you bought it?
I don't know about the same store. I would assume you can take it back to any best buy. I'm thinking real hard about returning this one for a new one tomorrow. I mean, really, how much will it suck if I have to replace it through sprint insurance if its the phone? A $200 deductible now, that's crazy. I didn't pay $200 for the phone, why sink another $200 in it?

If I were you I would take it back and exchange it for a new one. I just got mine last week and thus far haven't had a single problem downloading large files over wifi with mine. I can also stream pandora/iheartradio over 3g with no problems.
I always get the Best Buy Blacktie warranty for only $8/mo. I can swap the phone with no hassle. But I am really now considering on trading this in for a new one before the 30 days. At least I can hope that I get a better one with a clean activation. I still can't believe how bad data is on this phone. :crying:
I had the best buy insurance until I actually had to use it. To get a new phone, the have to send it out 4 times and have it come back still broken or unfixed. Each time they send it out it takes about a week to week and a half to get it back. Took me over a month and a half to get an old Evo replaced. At that time, I would have gladly given the hundred dollar deductible sprint charges. But now its $200 and I'm looking to have to use it within the first couple months? This is ridiculous.

I've found that it's not losing a data connection, Sense is killing the download.
My solution was to go to the settings, check the option to keep the screen on while charging. Then download the file while attached to the charger. Don't do anything else until the download finishes.
By keeping the download in the foreground, Sense won't kill it.
I'm now on Deck's CM9 build for this exact reason.

That's exactly what I did last night. I couldn't sleep so I set the phone to screen off never and I stared at it like a watched pot. For 515 mb. Lol. There has to be a workaround or an update in the future for this.

I'm not flaming anyone but woukdnt it be good practice to download on a laptop then just push the file to the sd card? That has always been how I download roms. Laptops seem to download faster anyway

Agreed. Wi-Fi has been just fine, as well as streaming video or music. We all know Sprint sux. But it can only get better from here. I dumped Verizon just to come back here. In due time everyone. THings will pan out

Sorry for the bad experience bud I can tell you that the geek squad protection has gotten a lot better. Now it does not take more than 3-5 days to get another one. For some reason actually the past 4 phones I send out they get it by the next day. Avg for us is about 2 days but it all varies by location of nearest service center from you. Still 3-5 days a good estimate on getting one back. Yes it is a.refurb phone also. If your uber lucky it could be new. Sent my buddies note out and he got a brand new one back. Sent others before and they were refurbs. Guess he has lucky lol

Wait, so they don't replace them on the spot anymore? That's too bad. Ř years ago I got my first smartphone. Blackberry Bold (still love it ) and got it from BestBuy. But back then, they would replace it on the spot. No shipping.but, its better than nothing I guess. I should ha e gone to BB. They would have given me $200 for my Verizon GN, and plus the gift card. That used to be the case for me, but with the LTEvo, I'm getting 30Mbps on the download. My laptop's never seen better than 25 on the same network.
I'm glad that the workaround I'd working for some. I've also heard that ROM Toolbox on a mild setting for performance may do the trick. I'm trying that now.

You do know there is an app out that disables smart sync? Just search smart sync in the market. It keeps the phone from disconnecting data when sleeping

I may be wrong, but I don't think this particular issue is smart sync. I have issues downloading files even when the phone isn't sleeping. If I put the download in the background while using another app. It is nearly impossible to download a ROM without keeping it in the foreground.
Either way, can you name the app?

When I was in an lte area my data would cut out before connecting to lte. When I went to the same area it had blocked me from connecting to lte but data would still drop out for a sec when trying to connect to lte. Just a thought. Maybe yall are about to get lucky with some lte goodness

My wife and I went into the ATT store in our neighborhood Saturday for her to pick between a SGS4 and a One, and see if we could get her an early upgrade. She's not due for an early upgrade until July and her Samsung Infuse is not performing well anymore and we wanted to take advantage of their trade-in offer. After waiting for about half an hour and haggling with a sales associate and the manager, the were not convinced and we left empty handed. A co-worker put me up to calling customer service and after explaining the situation and our in-store experience and a brief hold, the rep came back with some awesome news! She was approved to not only let my wife have the early upgrade, but a FREE upgrade to the black 64GB! And just to sweeten the deal, she threw in free overnight shipping!!! We're expecting it to arrive tomorrow. I think i'll keep the black one and let her have my silver 64GB.
All of those TMOUS and VZ subscribers who say ATT has terrible customer service have no idea. I have been with ATT since 2006 and have never needed to call customer service. This is not bad for a first experience!

I simple told the Rep that I need my upgrade 2 months early because my current phone wasn't working for me anymore. she understood my problem and said retention department could help me. Five mins later she came back and said since I was nice and in good standing that she could approve my upgrade and wave my upgrade fee. I need a larger screen due to losing most of my eye sight in an accident she said the only draw back was I'd have to pay for whatever phone I wanted right then . So I told thanks and then spoke with her supervisor letting him know how great she was. Being very decent is the key even if you need to speak to a supervisor ask nicely and erasure the Rep that you understand that she help as much as they could. So I paid for my phone and they shipped it out ocernight. Be patient be pleasant they get ****tiy people calling all the time so it helps to be nice.

Co-worker got a similar deal. His problem was that the online system would cancel his order immediately after completing it. It happened twice. He called not to complain, but simply to order the phone and got it free with free overnight shipping. His account was eligible for an upgrade, though.
The store manager has the power to give u an early upgrade within 30 days of the eligible date. Its funny BC some managers will say well it has to be in the same calendar month or ah it's gotta be within 14 days. U got lucky!
