Hi yall...
Im sitting here with a good mates i9100... He has flashed it, and now it does not have any signal...
IMEI is just blank, and I think this is because of the baseband radio mismatch as it is showing baseband unknown...
I have tried:
Flashing I9100XXKG2
And in odin I have ticked:
Re-partition
Auto reboot
F. Reset Time
Phone Bootloader Update... (This should update the bootloader, shouldent it??)
Any great ideas??

From what i have seen for flashing through ODIN, they always mention that re-partition should not be checked. Dont' know why but i guess probably that may have messed up something on the phone. Please google to find out what re-partition does.

Do you have backuped your /EFS folder or not?
We recived it in this condetion... It was already f***** when we started playing arround with it
well considering my un-flashed (freshly unboxed untouched after 2 day usage) S2 managed to lose its IMEI all by itself (showing exactly what you're being shown now), this is entirely a Samsung fault.
I gave it at a local service center and it took them a few days to repair it. They said they had to replace the motherboard and re-flash it (the original mobo wasnt taking flashes apparently).
Dont know if this helps ya.
First off: Stay faaar away from the "Repartition" tickbox.
Sounds like the EFS partition is messed up, without a (working) backup of it, there isn't much that can be done, I think.
Try flashing one of the _user_low stock ROMs (without repartition!) those contain pretty much every part that can/should be flashed.
Maybe this helps.
If not, send it in for repair.
Could you please give me a link to such a ROM ?

There are some in Intratech's ROM download thread in the dev section.
One comming directely into mind (because I just flashed it recently) is this one:

No, SuperOneClick doesn't work on a stock ROM, that's right.
Download Chainfire's CF-Root kernel for XXKG2 and flash it too.
You'll have insta-root right after flashing CF-Root

Is there any mirror link of this firmware (http://www.multiupload.com/G1GBNSDYJA)

I have tried many firmwares, but it still not working.
Should I try a ROM that require re-partition? Maybe it works???

Where did you get this other version? What is the file name?
The reason I ask: the version you used in your screenshot in post 1 is for an i9100G. You said you have an i9100.
Firmwares and kernels are not compatible between the i9100 and the i9100G. So if you are using another i9100G firmware, that is probably why it is failing.

Use Odin, but why do you need to flash with a pit file? Did you already try flashing back to stock already with the regular recovery stock rom? And one more thing what GP 4.0 do you have? Is it the USA, International, European or Korean one?
Anyways go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720457 download odin, the stock roms are there as well.

Flash a stock Rom via Odin. Wait till your phone boots up. Go back to Odin install a custom kernel (i recommend siyah kernel). Backup your stock Rom, then install a custom Rom. There is a lot of tutorials to tell you exactly how to do this process. If you need help at any point of this process just send me a message and I will give you a detailed walkthrough. How about from the intratech's thread? And is the Odin flash failing risk big with the situation I have right now?
I've used odin A LOT and never had a problem. I only ever use the PDA section and never touch anything else because I don't understand it. I can't comment on intratechs thread as I've never used his software. Any custom ROMs are normally flashed via CWM.

Hi Guys,
Now, I'm not the least bit knowledgeable about rooting, mods, or ROMs, or even what they are. All I know is that the two bottom vibrating keys don't work after I had to reinstall a new screen. So I got the Virtual-Button bar, and ended up rooting my I9300 with CWM and SuperSU and Odin.
It's been working great for a few months. Now here's the problem.
I got a software update today, and I didn't even think about it before downloading it. Then when it rebooted, here is what it says.
Virtual Button Bar: Unable to execute as root
CWM: This version of CWM Manager should be used with CF-Root v.5.0 or newer. It apperas you are running a different kernel. Various features have been disabled. (Current kernel unknown)
SuperSU: has no apps configured, but I have no way of configuring any apps because I dont have the "right-click" touch-button....
Any ideas on what to do??? I need to either unroot and re-root or find a way to fix it....
Thank you so much!
Sounds like you've lost root access. If so, you can try flashing siyah kernel through odin. This kernel has a handy root/unroot option. Also once its flashed, it auto roots your phone. let me know if this works.
Just FYI: this probably happened because the software update flashed the stock kernel which would have unrooted your phone. Flashing siyah should fix your problem

If you're planning on rooting and installing a custom ROM again you may as well just go with the Vodaphone one then go from there. I do have a copy of the unbranded one (can't remember where from) so it is out there if you really need it, only downloaded it last week.
I rooted using Philz kernel, if you search XDA for that you will find the info on how to do it and it seemed the easiest way to go...
