Use Odin, but why do you need to flash with a pit file? Did you already try flashing back to stock already with the regular recovery stock rom? And one more thing what GP 4.0 do you have? Is it the USA, International, European or Korean one?
Anyways go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720457 download odin, the stock roms are there as well.

I already tried to flash to stock rom, but chaoschris told everyone to restore to stock with pit, if you accidentally wiped your data or system.

Yea basically you need to have your pit. If you don't have it, according to your device, download it here:

Yes, I have my pit and everything. But I searched online and a lot of people have bricked their devices and stuff. So can someone post instructions on how to flash it without having all these risks?

There sometimes I think this: why did I make an all-in-one thread when nobody's check on it and then after complains where are all the stuff over and over (no offense for you as you're new here) anyway here's the full recovery link:

Download the package corresponding to your device and ensure you have the good pit.

Actually Zaclimon I have it bookmarked on my browser lol. It was one of the first things I found and it helped a lot. I usually suggest going to it when people ask how to flash, where are stock roms, and etc . I think that the thread should stay permanently at the top of the Q&A section.

[Q] Baseband unknown

Hi yall...
Im sitting here with a good mates i9100... He has flashed it, and now it does not have any signal...
IMEI is just blank, and I think this is because of the baseband radio mismatch as it is showing baseband unknown...
I have tried:
Flashing I9100XXKG2
And in odin I have ticked:
Re-partition
Auto reboot
F. Reset Time
Phone Bootloader Update... (This should update the bootloader, shouldent it??)

From what i have seen for flashing through ODIN, they always mention that re-partition should not be checked. Dont' know why but i guess probably that may have messed up something on the phone. Please google to find out what re-partition does.

Do you have backuped your /EFS folder or not?
We recived it in this condetion... It was already f***** when we started playing arround with it
well considering my un-flashed (freshly unboxed untouched after 2 day usage) S2 managed to lose its IMEI all by itself (showing exactly what you're being shown now), this is entirely a Samsung fault.
I gave it at a local service center and it took them a few days to repair it. They said they had to replace the motherboard and re-flash it (the original mobo wasnt taking flashes apparently).
Dont know if this helps ya.
First off: Stay faaar away from the "Repartition" tickbox.
Sounds like the EFS partition is messed up, without a (working) backup of it, there isn't much that can be done, I think.
Try flashing one of the _user_low stock ROMs (without repartition!) those contain pretty much every part that can/should be flashed.
Maybe this helps.
If not, send it in for repair.
Could you please give me a link to such a ROM ?

No, SuperOneClick doesn't work on a stock ROM, that's right.
Download Chainfire's CF-Root kernel for XXKG2 and flash it too.
You'll have insta-root right after flashing CF-Root

Is there any mirror link of this firmware (http://www.multiupload.com/G1GBNSDYJA)
since multiupload is no longer available any more?
I have tried many firmwares, but it still not working.
Should I try a ROM that require re-partition? Maybe it works???
Try searching Sammobile.com

Can I use a non-carrier branded ROM on a locked device?
I'd prefer a generic ROM.
Do I need to flash the PDA, Phone, and CDC files at the same time and are they located in these ROM files?
Thanks for the help.

Yes, you can flash an unbranded ROM. As for what to flash, it may be different from ROM to ROM, so just make sure you fully read at least the 1st post on the thread you download from. Everything you need to know will be in there.
I'm guessing you'll only need the PDA tar file.
That did it, my friend!
Thanks so much!

My tab wont unroot?

Hey guys.
im currently about to sell my gtab, and im trying to get it bk to stock unrooted.
now, i tried to install the latest UK firmware, which is: P7510XXKL2 and i downloaded it through sammobile and flashed through odin, but every time i tried to flash it through odin i got bootloop.
So in the end i downloaded :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412601 and flashed that. But now i want to unroot it... is that possible, if so, what should i do?
thanks

To UNroot or Not..
Any stockrom flash with PC odin will bring it back to a fresh Unrooted TAB..
Download the rom again, maybe it is damaged?
remove the MD5 extension and just flash the tar...

oh, that is no biggey. once you are done flashing, get into recovery mode and do a factory data reset. that should fix the issues. how ever, make sure that you have got a SUCCESSFUL flash with odin and no corrupted files. if that is the case, do a fresh download from samfirmware.

[Q] Using .Pit will reset my bootloader?

Hi,
I have a little, maybe silly question, i was reading a thread of Odia, and i just want to understand that if I use .Pit for flashing and tick Re-Partition, do I need to flash a Stock ROM (Im ony using stock roms) that comes with bootloader? or can I get the latest ICS Stock Rom from intratech or sammobile and flash it with the .Pit ?
Resuming;
Will my bootloader get erased in this process?
Will all the system files be erased because of the re-partition? (Like when we create a new partition in Windows and everything that was on HD gets lost forever lol) ??
Thank you in advance ! =D

Yeah.. i was talking about a thread started by Odia (Xda member) in developers area... I cant post there yet coz im new here in this forum, but i read it very often since i got my SGSII in 2011..
We can't play with .Pit but We should use when phone is bricked and u cant go on recovery mode (only in download mode), that happens when Nand-rw is broken, and thats can only be fixed re-partitioning your phone with .Pit.
Now my question is.. re-partitioning will reset my bootloader so I will have to flash a Rom with one or not..?
Thank you by ur concern anyway ! =D
Ps: Judging is not cool..
Hey, if u got here in this thread and has the same question as I did, i got the answer..
After reading this thread (Guide)
I found that the bootloader is NOT erased when using .Pit and re-partitioning, bootloader is only replaced if u flash a new one using Odin. So there is no need to use .Pit and re-partition with a bootloader at the same time.
If u are new and dont know what .Pit files are or how to use them, read carefully the thread i linked above.
Thank You to everybody who read this post and took a minute thinking about the answer !

Flash a stock Rom via Odin. Wait till your phone boots up. Go back to Odin install a custom kernel (i recommend siyah kernel). Backup your stock Rom, then install a custom Rom. There is a lot of tutorials to tell you exactly how to do this process. If you need help at any point of this process just send me a message and I will give you a detailed walkthrough. You should be fine though!!

How about from the intratech's thread? And is the Odin flash failing risk big with the situation I have right now?
I've used odin A LOT and never had a problem. I only ever use the PDA section and never touch anything else because I don't understand it. I can't comment on intratechs thread as I've never used his software. Any custom ROMs are normally flashed via CWM.
