[Q] iMac refuses to ADB - HTC EVO 3D

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section but I am trying to perma-temp root my lovely EVO 3D and every time I run the script made for mac I get ADB permission denied. I ran the .bat file on my windows virtual machine and get the same error.
When I BOOTCAMP into windows it is fully functional (I rooted the phone there) I was just curious if there was a fix any of you know of other than reinstalling the OSX.
Thanks and sorry if this needs to be moved,
Sovvy (Brandon)

Apple and Google hate each other...that's the answer.
(Seriously, I can't help you...I'm just being a dork)

[Q] ADB issues.

So I can't get adb to work and I'm about fed up. So here is what I've done. Could someone please tell me if I've gone wrong somewhere or what I'm missing because I'm sure it can't be that difficult.
I have an Atrix 4g that's rooted and running Adeo 0.1.7. Had zero issues doing either of those two things. Also I'm running Vista 64bit.
I've tried this in both normal and as administrator.
When I tried to push a file or list devices I get this. "daemon still not runningerror: Cannot connect to daemon"
When I tried adb shell su. I got permission denied.
I uninstalled sdk and reinstalled and now when I try to push I get "Not found." The other two are still the same problems.
I also added adb to the enviroment variables.
I used VanillaTbone's adb for dummies app. Which installs all the drivers for you automatically. So I don't believe there is an issue there. I've read all the threads I could find, but any issues I've seen have to do with rooting an HTC and the solutions I've seen are ones that I can't do on this phone. So I'm at a loss and my eyes are about to burst into flames from all this reading. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I had a similar issue and it was fixed when I went into root explored and changed to r/w. Hope your fix is this easy...

[Q] Lost root access

Hi!
I´m still using CM7 alpha2 since it seems that it onlys uses MTP to copy files and I ´m using a Mac OSX.
The thing is recently I tried to download an app that requires root access, but after installing I cannot use it.
Then I tried to use the isntalled apps that require root access and noe of them work.
I tried to find a thread that coud help me but so far no luck.
Can someboy explain please how to regain root access in my Touchpad?
By the way I have seen threads of other devices where the answer involve something terminal commands started with adb shell.
I use the terminal and bash all the time but I don´t know if I need to download/install some additional software?
Thanks!
sounds like there is something wrong with the superuser app.
Anyway the ICS roms use MTP for file transfer.
i don't think the touchpad needed root access to my mind it's gotta be the SU app or some sort of file/binary related to it

[Q] Question to Adam Outler's Ubuntu Recovery

When i'm on my Ubuntu pc it always says "you do not have permission for 'root' " or something similar to it. Any help would be gladly appreciated. I have been trying to delete the recovery folder for over a month now.. Trying anything i could, the terminal gave a read error but i forgot what it said because im on a dual-boot with Windows 7 and Ubuntu and Windows has no problems reading and deleting, It just cant access the partitions that Linux and Mac OS X can read and write to.

I had same problem before. Have to allow root privileges in Ubuntu. Not sure how though.
Its important to note that only the 16 GB model will work with Adam's Ubuntu Recovery. Not sure why, just is. So if you have 8 GB it won't work.

[Q]how to root your droid razrm

first off I would like to say sorry if this is in the wrong area but since I am a new member the boards are not allowing me to post a reply for technical support in the respective thread that it belongs.
this post is in regards to Dan Rosenberg's one click root for droid attix, droid RAZR, etc...
it can be found HERE
I tried rooting my phone but it failed at installing root. it installed the su.apk but when I run the program after my phone restarted it sends a message about not having any binaries and it cannot download any. on further examination to check if my phone had been rooted I found out it had not been rooted. so some technical stuff about my phone and PC and methods I had tried.
phone:
USB debugging is enabled.
Motorola Droid RAZR M
jellybean 4.1.2
phone USB connection set to MTP
PC:
Windows XP
Motorola droid USB driver package installed(variation tried clockwork USB driver package)
windows media player 11 installed
no firewalls or virus protection installed windows firewall disabled
there is not much else I can explain besides the fact everything went well and it installed SU but in the .bat it said failed after it said rooting.
I wonder if there is something I'm missing or a step I missed any support or recomendations are welcome and supported I am willing to work with you to get a solution.
thanks and much love to you at xda.
the error it seems I'm getting is that adb may not be working or it might be another issue? its failing to copy files and failing to find directorys on the phone

ADB problems with emulator

Okay. I have been trying to do other things with rooting other phones. I've rewritten a exploit so it will work on Mac. But this is a general problem. I deleted the Emulator and every single thing but the platform-tools on the windows side of my computer. So the only thing I have on my computer is the platform-tools folder (aka fastboot and adb) So I have tried what almost every forum has said. The adb kill-server. I restart it. Still there. I've tried to individually kill it still there. I've unplugged my device and ran adb still there. This is one reason that stopped me from rooting on a windows because this stupid emulator won't go away and it never has. I've never ran eclipse on the windows side or to say that never anything but the adb and fastboot. Only the Mac side have I done other things. Please if anyone could help that would be nice. It'd save me time from having to take the .bat files and changing them to sh files and opening with text edit, editing the file to work with terminal, then sh install.sh run the file and it not work then back to the drawing board which after rewriting some stuff over and over is a miracle to see it finally execute the exploit. Thanks for any help. I would gratefully appreciate it. Thanks. Sorry this kind of a off topic thing. O yeah that is the other reason from keeping me going s-off to. It's annoying and I would really love to fix the issue. I will take any advice. Just saying though the adb kill-server and a lot of other commands are not working and not doing the process. Please anyone who would like to help. Just put anything :$ Please and Thank you.
