Why would HTC release a mass update to all of their newest devices that will void the warranty for software not factory hardware defects?
Who cares if AlphaRev is taking their sweet time to perfect a hack that won't brick your phone and have you bug them if it does not work?
HTC releases the source code of their kernels when they want. No one is hanging anything in front of HTCs face for the kernels.
AlphaRev stated they achieved S-OFF using a different hack that had nothing to do with Agreben.
I wonder how many other secret thoughts you have that only make sense in your mind.

I obtained root through the USB port.
So I was at work while I got flamed. Now what was the point of some of you guys acting like assholes? Hey I been flamed plenty of times on xda as well as other forums. Don't take it personal.
Worst time was when I put neons on my Honda Accord and posted a pic of it on a Honda Modding forum. I swear it was about ten pages of flaming me calling my car a Christmas Tree and what not. It looked like something out of a Tron movie. I guess street glow wasn't cool anymore.
It was a good try nonetheless. To achieve results sometimes requires the most ridiculous (by some standards) methods. I agree not to take the flaming personal though. Firing back won't make the people stop. Ignoring their flames is probably your best bet. That or simply reporting the post, as it not only is counter-productive, but doesn't encourage the throwing of ideas, no matter what they are.
Is it me or is the 3D forums filled with a bunch of dicks compared to the 4G? That's it I'm returning my phone cause of it...BUT Not before I ***** to HTC on their FB PAGE.

I watched them dev the new version for the Flyer last night. Depending on how many more device they plan to include is how long it will be. Remember once they get the bootloader to s-off they also are having to port a recovery. Every device must be tested on every rom/hboot version. That is a lot of **** to do. Especially if they only have one or two devices. I hope it's soon though!

If the hero 4g gets root and roms before the the EVO 3d does ill reluctantly have to jump ship on this phone.
The hero 4g won't be good enough to jump ship to its gonna be a minor upgrade from the oh evo compared to the 3d I mean it's single core for petes sake. I think it will be aimed at the mid ranged community. I don't tho. Kinda this phone lives up to the hero name like the first one did

OK here is a question. If they have S-off for the sensation why not test it and put it out for the sensation , and then add other phones to the list afterwards? I think this would stop most of the useless threads in the sensation thread and the 3vo ?? Why try putting it out for thirty phones all at once and then when a new phone comes out holding off to test that too.

Exactly! Why wait to release for all phones. Supposedly they have had S-Off for the Sensation & 3D for weeks and now we see CWM running. So they have S-Off, root and now a Recovery. What's the hold up? Release it already. The whole stable, bricking excuse is getting old. If some people brick trying, oh well. We all know the risk we take when we tamper with our phones. Take it back to Sprint and start over. If you guys don't have TEP on your $600 smartphones then you need to stay the hell away!

The video was a leak we weren't even supposed to know there was s off yet for our devices their developing for multiple devices I would assume so that whatever exploit they use isn't patched on everything as cool as it would be to have s off on EVO 3d and sensation right now If.they let it out those other guys who want s off for their devices that NORMALLY WOULD HAVE USED A SIMILAR ARX EXPLOIT. Would be in the boat were in now lookin at other s off devices goin man I wish we had that.... By makin it as universal as possible it services more communities for a more extended period of time

Hacked is to get a hacked eng hboot (alpharevx) on our phone it essentially would serve the same purpose

Also, everyone who asks for s-off annoys the crap out of me. It's like they don't realize it takes time to get to that point, even more so with a locked bootloader - I realize ARX has s-off and I'm not trying to diminish what they or teamwin or any dev working on it but until its public we still don't have s-off for all intents and purposes. But back to the OP, feels good to laugh.

Well we may have to wait just a tad longer. I read in the sensation forums they were waiting for the mytouch slide 4g (which was released today) and was shipped s-on and fully locked. They will probably include that in the next beta. Hopefully it is the same method as the sensation and the shooter so it shouldn't take that much longer.

Time is passing and there isn't still no reply from HTC, even if a lot of us ask about. This delay of realization of such an important thing unables us to get unstock kernel with oc and optimizations. Without sources devs have to work hard and there is no sucess to get stable and with fully working camera cm9, aokp, aosp and other ROMs.
My idea is to force HTC to hurry up this process. We can create a petition and spam HTC 's FB, Twitter, mail and in other ways.
We need volunteer, who can create the petition (everyone will sign it) and ideas of content of messenge, that all of us will send to HTC.
We can't let them to fool us!

Let's aggressively attack their mailboxes... Which will be added to a junk list... THAT'LL do the trick... Certainly!. And ALL your stuff will be automatically ignored. Not only will that make this look evenmoreso of a worse community, HTC will see devs as a joke, and do what they can to hold off on releasing until they absolutely HAVE to. I don't want to jump to conclusions in either direction, but this is a Dev, and he/she seems to be holding a place for unlimited Devs. Two of them were mentioned by name.

Agreed..... This is becoming a little nerve racking though. Its hard to choose between wearing out the thanks button or flaming the hell out of the messager. Lets hope its legit.

developers shouldnt rename a tool for a same function
thats my opinion
lazypanda = evo lte s-off

Umm.. if u bothered to look at their other tools, such as juopunutbear , that is for 8 phones. Please take the time before u get peoples hopes up.
Lazypanda refers to the root exploit used. EVO4G got new update and hboot, so new exploit used, hence, now DirtyRacun.
It was an honest mistake though, so hopefully no hard feelings.

I'm just glad zarboz is excited to develop for us. i'm currently using his sleep2wake function in our only modded kernal and i like it a lot.

dirtyracun is just incorporating the newer HBOOTs for the EVO
I think we are all just a little jumpy........ no hard feelings on this end. With everyone's anticipation at 15 on a scale of 1 to 10, it was an easy mistake.
No one was mean or anything why so serious?? No ones to blame for anything Jesus... butt hurt much?
