Fast keyboard switching gone in new Swype (2.3.4) - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just updated to the XXKG2 ROM from KF3. I noticed that previously, I could hold the settings button on the Swype keyboard and the input method selection window for all the keyboards installed would appear. Now that is gone. A short press brings you to the Swypes settings page and a long press does the same thing!!!! Grrrrr.....
Checked the other keyboards including Samsung's standard keyboard and if you hold the settings button down, the input method selection window appears.

Lost keyboard ...

Hey
I need help
In any text field (sms, url etc) - I suddenly don't have the keyboard (x10 mini)
I have anysoftkey installed too (for hebrew), but nothing is displayed
Try long pressing in the text field till a menu appears, then select "Input method" from the menu - this will let you pick which keyboard to use if you've got other ones installed.
I did that but the anysoftkeyboard was defined as the input method
I finally just re-started and it came back to normal
Thanks !
Actually, sometimes when you switch keyboard, it will not work for a while (happen to me once or twice) just exit the apps and open it again and click on the input field and voila, it's there.

[Q] Vegan 5.1.1 - Switching between keyboards

There are 3 keyboards listed under the Settings on Vegan 5.1.1.
The "Android Keyboard" has its own settings button that will enable you to switch to a different keyboard. So to try out the others, i switched to the Tap n' Tap Western keyboard. Now i cannot change it. There is no setup button on this keyboard and i cannot find a place in the Settings menu that allows me to change the keyboard.
How can i switch between keyboards in Vegan 5.1.1?
Touch any text entry box to bring up the keyboard. Then hold your finger on the blank entry box until a menu appears. From there menu choose "input method". Now select which keyboard you would like to use and it will switch.
Thank you so much! I'v been looking for a way to switch all day.

[Q] A05PTH3ORY V1.4X - How to enable text input keyboard navigation?

I searched and was unable anything-- how do you enable navigation buttons in text entry for this ROM? Editing long text messages before sending is next to impossible b/c I can't scroll up or down or left or right to see what was previously entered.
Posted here b/c I'm under-count to post in the dev thread in the dev forum.
I use "smart keyboard pro" with the HTC themed skin. It had the nav buttons you're asking about.
Signature.
My best suggestion for you would be downloading "Gingerbread Keyboard for 2.3". After downloading it, go into your settings menu, and under "language & keyboard" enable gingerbread keyboard. Then go into anywhere where you can input text, longpress the text box to select "input method" and select "Gingerbread Keyboard". From this keyboard, press the spacebar and swipe your finger up. This should pop up keyboard arrows. When you're done, swipe down instead of up.
If I helped ya, and hit the "Thanks"

Problem switching input method from Swype after KI3 rom update

After updating to the KI3 rom, I found that holding the "gear symbol" icon in the lower left corner of the Swype keyboard no longer allows switching to other input methods. Instead, it only goes to the Swype settings menu, which is the same behaviour as tapping the button. Before, I was able to switch input methods between Samsung Keyboard/Swype by holding the button. However, this only affects Swype and I can still switch out of the Samsung Keyboard using the "gear" setting button. Anyone else having this problem or got a fix?

[Q] Samsung Default Keyboard Voice input

Hi Guys,
Having an issue. Ive got a default ROM and i just dont have the voice input (Mic) on the keyboard even though its checked in the keyboard setting.
Any clues?
Hi,
I have the same problem: no mic button on my keyboard.
I have Omega 6 rom. I tried to change keyboard but could not find a way
to get the mic button. And yes it is checked in the keyboard setting.
Any ideas ?
Update
I downloaded Ultra Keyboard from the play store, installed it, went to parameters/language and input, chose ultra keyboard and got the mic button along
with the Ultra keyboard.
I then choose the Android keyboard (in the language and input settings), unchecked the ultra keyboard and ... tada got the regular android keyboard with the mic button.
Problem solved ! Still don't know why there was no mic button at first.
You can change the button's functionality by keeping it pressed and then selecting the mic button if you want on the stock keyboard.
Just long press the settings key on the keyboard (left of the space bar), and you will get the voice input key. The last selection will remain on that settings key.
