Hi all,
I currently have upgraded to 2.3.4 but it seems that my Outlook Exchange Security Settings doesn't seem to want to work.
Anyone got a link back to stock UK O2 2.3.3?
Thanks

There is no official 2.3.4 update yet, only leaked versions. But this should be posted in Q&A section i believe.

Sorry didnt read properly apologies.
I have an unlocked, SG2 on O2 contract from phones4U.
my phone says that I have Android version 2.3.3 installed.
(I searched for updates the day I got the phone, last thursday and installed the update it found, this took me up to 2.3.3 from 2.2.2 I think.)
When I look now, there are no updates available.
I see some people have 2.3.4 or even 2.3.5? why is that?
What is the latest version available for UK unlocked SG2s?
thanks.
If you read the forums you will see the solution .
One you get an update when O2 update or phones 4u .
Two alternatives are unofficial updates that may break your warranty .

Like JJe said i agree with him.
Now if you are into rooting and want to try the latest firmware that comes with the roms go for it..
But you will lose your warranty and do your research first before you go ahead and root your phone....there is always way round unrooting and keeping your warranty but if you dont mind and you know what your doing go ahead and root and enjoy the goodies in custom roms..
im using VR 3.0 and before that batista rom and they are good as gold..
if you need any help just give me a shout
Thanks for the replies guys, but what I'm asking is which firmware version should I have, is 2.3.3 the most recent available in the UK without rooting and installing a custom rom etc.
If so, I will wait for an update from O2.
cheers.

Without asking each provider what is your latest firmware its impossible to tell .
The providers roms post in dev section may give a better clue .
Probable any upgrades in the pipeline will be replaced by the new 2.3.5 .

if you stay on official carrier firmware through kies, you'll always have the most uptodate version for your carrier. it will be months behind what'ss available through unofficial methods

cant you just re flash back to stock and your warranty should be fine? or can they tell your phone has been non stock in the past?
Hi all, this might seem like a daft question but I guess this is the best place to ask.
I'm in the UK and have a US Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wifi, I've been running GalaxyTask 13 on it recently however i'm looking to put it back to stock. Would I be able to flash the EU firmware onto it or do I have to use the US firmware?
Cheers in advance

You can and should be able to flash a EU firmware on it, I've worked on different devices and had the liberty of the this tablet to work on aswell. I purchased my 64GB white 3G one from Singapore and currently using a EU firmware on it. Since you don't have 3G you shouldn't worry about carrier lock or efs issues

Hi,
I bought my SGS 2 on ebay. The phone is unlocked, but was on Vodafone and hence have Vodafone apps which won't work anyway.
I'm using a TESCO SIM which basically uses O2.
Now my question is how can I update to ICS.
Since the phone is vodafone branded but now on TESCO/O2 SIM, please help me updating to ICS.
I cannot use the generic from Samsung KIES as the current firmware is from Voda and cannot use Voda update as I'm not using thier network.
Phone details are
PDA:I9100BUKJ3
Phone: I9100BUKI1
CSC:I9100VODKI2
thanks

You wait for Vodaphone to push the update out .
Or you start reading and searching and use the Samsung stock ICS firmware if you want ICS NOW .
Millions of posts asking the same question not hard to find .

you could try to check if have "I9100" model, not the "19100G" or other variants, then you can start from there.
if you're have "I9100" then generic roms would be fine. (LPQ, LP7, LP2)

Thanks For the reply.
I'm planning to do this
1. Debrand to generic UK ROM that is 2.6.4
2. Go to KIES get the ISC.
Please let me know if this will work ?
Also Please let me know which UK Generic ROM 2.6.4 can I use. I'm confused looking at the Inrtatech's post. Not sure what they are ? Please point me to the exact one please.
Thanks

It might but it all depends upon the codes your phones shows .

Their is no exact one ..
If you really must have ICS then download a latest version stock from .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559170
You really only have two choices KIES updates as and when you get them .
Or XDA developers forum flash stock roms via Odin on day of release .
two methods dont really mix and match .
GB 8/10 ICS current release 3/10 not good enough for my phone .

based on your original post, you want to update to ICS, now you're saying "2.6.4", there's no such thing as "2.6.4", do you mean 2.3.6?
if you want to debrand and update to ICS, there's no need to install 2.3.6, you can install ICS and wipe your data, and you're good to go.
for are i think 3 stable versions of ICS, LPQ(which is UK), LP7(indonesia) and LP2 (russia) if you really want a UK version, use LPQ(but i has an sms bug which sends sms twice when using 3rd party apps).
Hey,
I have been searching with no luck all morning for the stock GT-P7510 rom for an Australian Galaxy Tab.
I rooted it last year, and havent used it really since then and now I want a clean slate and return it back to factory before I do an ICS update.
I can't find the stock Australian rom anywhere...including sammobile/samfirmware.
Can anyone please assist?
Thanks.
...or if not available - what would be the closest thing?

There actually may not be a specific stock Australian Rom not sure? After looking at the settings about device the GT-7510 I purchased in New Zealand actually had a Europe stock Rom on it.

Thanks for that! Most helpful.
What exact version did yours come with stock? I live in NZ half the time anyway so would be happy with whatever version came as factory there.
The version in the about device was P7510XWKI2, when searching on sammobile use France as the country.
