2.3.3 and tnx op for posting this fw

Is this a 100% working FW, without GPS error and wakeup lag, as in 'S5830XXKPH'?
And are there Danish languages in 'Samsung keypad' (Input languages)?
After having used it for the day i get no GPS error and the wake-up lag is minimal also this is the official Fw for Nordics so danish is avail both in Samsung and swype

Okay, super.. I will try it
Well it does not fix the wifi SOD problem..........so I am not happy.
Starting to think Samsung wants to be like Apple, and dont care about the buyers at all...
I like this. The wake-up lag is not as bad as before. Haven't encountered any GPS error as well which is very nice. Also, not SOD for me yet. Probably will wait for a few minutes or an hour before I encounter the SOD.
But so far so good. I'm loving this firmware.

Need help selecting custom rom for galaxy ace for a friend. This is his first android. He bought the phone just thinking it is cool to have an android and for free apps. His phone memory was full first day and is unable to move to card. I convinced him to root and install custom rom. If you suggest the stablest and fastest gingerbread on ace with most features as in stock it would be helpful. I am quite sure that he would not go for an update for next 6months atleast after I install gingerbread on his phone. Thanks in advance.

Haven't received an SoD since I flash fla.sh ROM over 24 hours ago. I run WIFI constantly at work and turn it off when I leave. If he has a habit of forgetting to turn WIFI off then he may well get them.

If you have wifi turned off, the ROM works fine.
Any idea when official gingerbread update to ace will be rolled out in India? As I'm sure he wont be using wifi but if sod also happens with Bluetooth then it may be a problem to him. I don't think I'll be around him to fix it for him.

I m using SanGinger ROM v2.0 and its pretty good.No SODs from last 4 days
Well. I guess they are all good roms, you should just try them, but since your friend doesnt seem very interested on it, well just chose one randomly (dont know if this phrase is well made, or even that ahaha).
I'm using coderom v2x-2b, and just like someone told you, sod is caused because of wifi. i'm using kph with L modem, and I have no sod at all since... well since i'm using it (2 weeks, maybe more).
All of them offer you almost the same... cf-root, a2sd and ext4 compatibility, etc etc. I use a2sd to put apps on the sd card, even dalvik cache. Now my internal memory keeps between 129-136 mb free (dont know why it changes ahhaa ).
Cheers!
Hi
It has been a while since last galaxy s2 got an official update ?!
dose anyone know why ?
world wide no any official update since the arrival of Kh3 which was a month and a week ago ?
we usual got updates every 1 to 2 weeks ?!
2.3.5 is on its way.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
so that is why updates stoped ?
and i didnt hear that 2.3.5 will be released to galaxy s2 are you sure ?
ice cream's on the way
I'm still waiting for the official 2.3.4 update (I have an unlocked phone from the UK). The current firmware has a weird bug that causes the data connection to occasionally drop... So I'm hoping the next update fixes this.
will 2.3.5 be official to galaxy s2 ?

Is something broken in hk3 that needs to be updated? Or do you simply want an update because its simply newer?
and is there any release date ?

I had a phone die from bad Samsung officially released FW after a KIES update. Plus Samsung wouldn't support it even though it was "incorrectly placed by them", and given the green light for my region (and I went through the finger pointing game between Samsung/carrier)
Odin is definitely the way to go. You get a million times better support from here over Samsung if anything goes wrong...

And you need bug fixes/new features/more battery life updates every week? Download cm7, you'll get updates everyday.
i think it take again a while before an update comes! i don't get it the big successor of samsung and sgs1 again first an update!
Ehh...so far no one really answered the OPs question. Obviously he knows there are custom solutions out there but he simply asked about an official Kies update. I am on XEU as well and am frustrated by the lack of an official update in over 2 months. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone is going to be able to give you any reason why there hasn't been updates or any information on when one may be coming. Samfirmware isn't really official and I haven't seen any quotes from an official Samsung source like their twitter. Seems like we just have to wait and suffer with the battery bug and the data connection issues...
I'm also very disappointed with speed of Samsung in releasing new updates. Anyway now I have HTC Sensation for test (Czech) and Android is still 2.3.3, but in Germany it is 2.3.4
So I would like to mainly ask Google to step into this jungle and make some order. Otherwise, I think people will turn to iOS or WM 7.5, where updates are more clear...
Hi,
I'm flashing my Xperia s back to gb because of fast capture bug and would like your opinions.
Which version of gingerbread is the fastest and bug free?
Also, if anyone can upload it that will be great. I'm in the united states north America region.

You will be laughing but one of the main purpose of the smartphone is to make a calls
In my case I have a problem with the main microphone - after some time of re-flashing to whatever ICS ROM the main microphone stop working - nobody hear me. There is corresponding tread on SONY support forum but I can wait forever so just yesterday I had to move back to GB....
So I have to join this question. Any answer?

For me, the .75/.76 GB builds are the fastest & most bug free :good:! I've myself downgraded several times, but can tell you one thing though that this latest ICS (6.1.A.2.45) is much snappier, although buggy (i've got QL & BE bug on ICS)! Anyway, if you go back to GB you will have no QL/BE/deep sleep issues anymore :victory:!

.75TW in my opinion
To your question: I highly recommend the latest GB KA ROM.
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
Many users don't notice but the latest ics still carries the quick launch bug, where it takes up to 2-3 tries to activate it from deep sleep. That was one of the main reasons I got this phone so back to gb for me.

Obviously this isn't a problem caused by custom ROMs. Send it in for repair or for a replacement instead of being stuck on GB.

Thanks for this post! I just checked, and it is available in India, too. I was a bit disappointed that we not got the 526 even three days after HK and TW. I suppose 532 includes all those fixes, too.
C6833 users are we getting this also.
SOD is still there and the 2 min boot with backlight opt. off aswell.
Now I will try with the Sony Update Service with a full wipe...

Confirm the SOD problem still not solved.
just finished updating and sadly, the fake hang issue is sill there
Sony should receive some praise for being quick with the updates, but i think it would've been better if they actually fixed things
I feel lucky selling it off now. Release my tension about this stupid issue.
Is there any bugs for this update?
it be nice if sony started releasing change logs with their oh so frequent updates
sheeeesh
optimized background un ticked doesn't allow the the phone to sleep. and cause a mess of issues as far as phone hangs and such
Does anyone here remember if the Xperia Z had software problems when it got released? And if Sony fixed them?

Hey guys,
What's your experience with 4.3 update ? It seems like a lot of people are complaining about it.
Is it a go or should i stay with 4.0.4?
I want to update to 4.3 only because of buttery-smooth performance that Google claims it to be after the update
I know that first OTA update was a complete dissaster but after that Samsung released a fix for it, so is it really fixed with that new update or it's still buggy ?
So what's your opinion ? Should i update or stay on 4.0.4 or perhaps wait for 4.4?
I hope 4.4 will have much less problems
Thanks in advance,
Slim Shady
