this, but I prefer Franco kernel v18 because it has less battery drain.

id say mik's 6.5.5 but right now several devs are porting miui which afaik has the best performance

As far as I've seen, there is no such thing, you have to make compromises.
The ROMS based on CM have some bugs, but if you can live with that (I can't) they are pretty fast.
On the other hand, if you want stable, try GingerLOL or OneDroid (I have the last one). No so super-mega-speed in synthetic benches, but stable and reliable in normal use.

Based on neocore (Benchmark) , I recommend miks 6.6 with franco 18 jul (75 fps)

void. #forever + franco.kernel v18 BFS
Simple & decent battery life under normal use

The best rom depends on you.
For me? devoid.franco and his kernel.

Stock ROM.
Hey, I only got the phone on Sunday. For now, the stock ROM and the minimal tweaks I made (JIT, touchscreen fix, ondemand underclock) are quite enough.
CM7/GB for performance, any other froyo rom for battery. It doesn't matter how many tweaks/kernel you apply to froyo, it will still be buggy with performance and you will keep flashing new tweaks/kernels. lol
I can only agree with mansirawat
CM7 rocks (even in draining battery )
For dayly use I use custom Froyo rom, for this moment it's LOL 1.4.2 with some of francofrancisco tweaks and kernel.
Devoid.francov5, franco.kernel v11 with darktremors apps2sd
The best rom for you and your phone is, without a question, the stock rom. It is most stable, safe and will always be up to date. The best custom rom in my opinion is CM7, but there are several available and most of them are good.
Mik's CM7. It's awesome.
Im using Nessy for 2 days now and its my first custom rom installed, I cant say its the best since i hadnt tried other roms, but so far im pretty satisfied with its performance. the default cpu clock is 729mhz max and I change it to 600mhz(stock) and the result is that battery consumption is now as good as the stock rom but with a little boost in performance and no bloatwares equals to increase in memory.
CM 7 + franco v19.2
I personally prefer CM7 By mik + fk

I have to agree
openOptimus-build-1.148 is the best ROM out there
The stablest with all features working great i think that is lol 1.4.2 rom.......and if you flash dookmatt s kernel then you will have great performance..........
I said this because open optimus cannot play divx videos....otherwise if you dont want to watch. .avi or high quality divx then flash whatever you want......
I prefer all features of our phones works correctly and LOL does this

I would go for CM7 or Devoid by franco..
I'm using Void. rom(echo) and I personally think it's GREAT!!!!
CM7 andy is the best ROM for me (performance and game)
stock rom with francos kernel and move2sdenable and sdcardspeedboost should kickass
Tigerblood v1.0.0 is AWESOMENESS!

Try dook's Hypnos if you use mobile data (2.2.2 provides better battery life with mobile data on for some reason)... even without overclock, it performs wonderfully!
If you don't, try franco's devoid+kernel.

Take note that .35 is for android gingerbread BUT if you're gonna refer to franco's .35 kernel, I think he said that it only supports mik's latest rom, so don't use any other cm7/gingerbread roms or it will cause bugs.

Ya ginger, but the bugs r only blackscreen bug... Also the blackscreen bug is gone wen u turn off crt animation... All others bug is alr been minimized... So u nid 2 do is get cm7 v6.6.1 and franco kernel 2.6.35.14 but for official, use paolo's kernel...

[Q] What is the best kernel for oxygen 2.7?

,What is the best kernel for oxygen 2.7 regarding for battery life,i use my phone now only for texting and i want it to last long, can you give suggestions?,
Franco kernel
Sent from my Xoom tablet using Tapatalk
Personally, I find ROQ XII the best kernel as it has more governors. I know that Franco did say that governors didn't matter, but from my personal experience, I disagree with his statement.
ta-gb kernel version 1 is the best!. in my opinion ONLY
