[Q] What is the best kernel for oxygen 2.7? - Optimus One, P500, V General

,What is the best kernel for oxygen 2.7 regarding for battery life,i use my phone now only for texting and i want it to last long, can you give suggestions?,

Franco kernel
Sent from my Xoom tablet using Tapatalk

Personally, I find ROQ XII the best kernel as it has more governors. I know that Franco did say that governors didn't matter, but from my personal experience, I disagree with his statement.

ta-gb kernel version 1 is the best!. in my opinion ONLY

,im using RoqXII now so far so good,^^,RoqXIII-paolo touchfix is not that good to mine, franco kernel 4 gives almost the same battery life as of stock oxygen,i dont tried ta-gb 1.1 yet but im happy now with RoqXII,^^

I agree with ta being the best

Stock ROM.
Hey, I only got the phone on Sunday. For now, the stock ROM and the minimal tweaks I made (JIT, touchscreen fix, ondemand underclock) are quite enough.
CM7/GB for performance, any other froyo rom for battery. It doesn't matter how many tweaks/kernel you apply to froyo, it will still be buggy with performance and you will keep flashing new tweaks/kernels. lol
I can only agree with mansirawat
CM7 rocks (even in draining battery )
For dayly use I use custom Froyo rom, for this moment it's LOL 1.4.2 with some of francofrancisco tweaks and kernel.
Devoid.francov5, franco.kernel v11 with darktremors apps2sd
The best rom for you and your phone is, without a question, the stock rom. It is most stable, safe and will always be up to date. The best custom rom in my opinion is CM7, but there are several available and most of them are good.
Mik's CM7. It's awesome.
Im using Nessy for 2 days now and its my first custom rom installed, I cant say its the best since i hadnt tried other roms, but so far im pretty satisfied with its performance. the default cpu clock is 729mhz max and I change it to 600mhz(stock) and the result is that battery consumption is now as good as the stock rom but with a little boost in performance and no bloatwares equals to increase in memory.
CM 7 + franco v19.2
I personally prefer CM7 By mik + fk

[Q] Which kernel is better .32 or .35???

Which kernel is better .32 or .35???
in terms of battery and performance (as usual)??
As far as I know, .35 kernels are better than .32 kernels in both performance and battery.
In most cases newer versions are better only because of new features and improvements. Linux 3.0 is better than both, but nobody needs it since it need a full rewrite of the kernel tweaks from franciscofranco, mik_os, andy and fserve. At the moment our 2.6.35 kernels are less stable than the .32 ones, so I would advice you to use the .32 ones.
Depends on the user, but yep I think .35 is better in terms of performance but .32 is better in terms of battery life
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
In my opinion .35 has better both performance, and battery.
For the ones saying .35 has better battery life than .32, what ROM are you using, how long does the battery last and what's your usage pattern?

I would actually say that they are same in battery use. but .35 kernel have a really better performance than .32
thanx!! to all of you for your response..
I'm a heavy user my battery last 8 hours max...using 6.5.7+gbs18c
Now I've moved to 6.6.1+latest fk .35 kernel...
As far as I know. 35 kernels have slightly lesser battery than. 32 ..do post ur feedbacks on your experience with. 35,

Dude play music on a rom with .35 kernel for one hour and do the same for .32 kernel.U will see .35 kernel uses less than half of battery as that of .32 kernel..

you can only have good gaming or smooth ui, and not both. i've tried the touchfix by franco and fserve in franco.Kernel-gbs.v20a, and it has the best performance in gaming so far compared to the previous kernel releases (tested game: blood & glory)
No one is perfect..
well franco's kernel is close to. try it.. you'll never know until you already experience it
Just like helldrak... the one in my signature... my 1st kernel... and now I am still using the new version of it
Well, used to have mik's 6.5.8, that was with goldenleaf

Franco.Kernel 22NOV is the best for stock GB as it doesn't lag and is the fastest,,, 8DEC lags because it has a new touchscreen driver which solves the touch bug but slows the UI..
try rome v1.3.3!!!!
@OP, i made a discussion thread for recommendations like this for a reason

Cmon sweet, you know noobs don't read, reading and extensive research is a learned characteristic
Any latest franco or fserve kernel will do, it depends on users perspective.... Personally I would rather have francos kernel, I've been using franco since v15 and it's never failed me

Paoulo vs Fransico vs Fserve vs Rome kernel [.35 Kernel]

Can you guys tell me the Pros and Cons of Paoulo, Francisco, Fserve [.35 Kernel] in comparison to one another? Like what does it lacks and what does it have, how r they different. And which is the best kernel for adfads N2 CM7 ROM according to you? Also I tried goggling for Paoulo's kernel and Rome kernel but couldn't find them. It maybe cause I don't understand Italian. So can you also tell me exactly how to get them?
Paolo - the great thing about it is the touchfix which is very good and not bad for scrolling, so good for gaming use.
Franco - the latest one is best for gaming use, but its not smooth. If you talk about previous versions, its have the best performance/battery life ratio.
Fserve - currently still in development, so we can't judge it yet.

Theres Rome kernel too, that is based on Paolo but with some improvements.
But Rome has some wakelocks during and after use wi-fi.

Yes, it drains a lot of battery in WiFi. I'm using the 1.3.3 BFS V-Sync OFF with Oxygen 2.3.2 and the phone is really fast and smooth! No lag in 3D games, and without WiFi, the battery life is awesome (Governor LighassV2 OC 245/729)! Another bug that i found : doesn't work USB MASS but i don't know if is a rom related bug or kernel related but...BTW, fastest combination ever imho
Franco's kernel hands down. Paolo's (and possibly Rome's) kernel is just a ripoff from franco's kernel.
I hope fserve will eventually pick up franco's sources and improve it further.

Sounds good so that's why u ask me for my kernel?
Don't forgrt to add support to andy clear cache option also check cyanogenmod our chip source by rmce.

For me, Paolo and Rome had blacks screen bug which was too annoying so went back to Franco.

WTF? Paolos .35 kernel come out first, with oc, camera flicker fix and wifi tethering fixed (came out broken on lg sources) so is very idiotic to say that is a rip off, I know that because i tested both kernels as soon they come out in that time.
Imho Paolo's kernel is way more stable than Franco's

Oh , thanks for explaining and sharing, i didn't know that Cyanogenmod have this kernel source
Franco himself didn't say Paolo stole from him.
And
I don't respect Zack very much as he did not release any source code and thus violating GPL, and i remembered he himself said there is no reason to release source code, which I think it is idiotic. Also, most of his supposed 'patches' mostly came from franco(franco supposedly said had the same patches in his kernels for multiple devices).

Yea, I think Zack is a selfish people. But we can't force him to release his kernel source code...
BTW: How do you know that he used franco patches?
I flash the Rome 1.3.3 kernel yesterday on Cyanogen 7.2 N1, the performace is great, no blackscreen bug until now.
But the battery is not so good as franco kernel (12% in 3h, I need to wait until the end of day to see better and examine Better Battery Status).
So for now I recomend Rome if you don't care so much about battery.

[Q] RoQ kernel XIII, which version is best?

So I noticed there are several versions of latest RoQ kernel:
[Descargar Kernel-XIII]
[Descargar Kernel-XIII Der Caveman ts driver]
[Descargar Kernel-XIII thachtungahn ts driver]
[Descargar Kernel-XIII Franco ts driver]
[Descargar Kernel-XIII Fserve ts driver]
[Descargar Kernel-XIII Paolo touchfix]
Which one do you use, which one do you think is the best one, why, which one gives you best of everything?
kernal
nahhh i hate them all(no offense any devs)
i use franco4 for battery and thundervn for performance
nothing else
Best one is the one with the original touch screen driver. Smooth as hell but may lag in games. For gaming use Paolo's touch fix.

Cool story bro, but that's not what I was asking...
Anyways I flashed the first one, and I'm using 748/480 conservative and feel a bit lag...
