I'm having problems with my LG Optimus T. I plugged it into the computer, and it told me I needed to update. Halfway through the update process, the phone restarts and gets stuck at the lg screen. I started researching then. Apparently the update didn't finish, so I had to flash it again with KDZ updater. I tried, but I got this:

it wont do anything. screen wont light up. keys wont either. i read somewhere else today of someone having the same problem as mines' and he solved it just by getting a new battery. i cant test this out, as i cant afford a new battery until the 1st, and i need my phone way before then.

if you cant boot your phone into recovery or emergency mode, then you probably have a bricked phone. phones usually get bricked when they are interrupted while updating using kdz. i think your only option is to send in your phone to lg
But what can be the reason for this? Maybe "Type" or "PhoneMode" was selected wrong?
I have used KDZ updater so many times and everything was fine.

I didnt change it from its original settings though. the 3g one and then the Diag mode one. I didnt unplugg it either

Take a look at your warranty coupon..

I cant help u out in this situation but prefer u that in future if u faced any of this situation dont disconnect ur phone in EMERGENCY MODE, if in case of any error while updating or downgrading then at the same time restart KDZ Updater and flash ur phone with a working rom. (Official available by LG)

alright i'v been trying to root LG P500h for a few hours now.i have the 2.2 firmware ( V10G_00.kdz). when i start flashing everything starts going normally, my phones screen even displays the yellow emergancy mode screen. but after about 2 minutes of the updater running it fails and this is my Log screen

i have done everything, even unmounting sd card and reamoving it. i just came across some info about LGE modem. would this cause the uptader to fail if not dissabled?
power off your phone, go into emergency mode, connect to PC, run kdz updater with emergency option. if its not working remove your battery, put it back in and try again. and DONOT disconnect your phone untill the proces is finished and your phone restarts or you can brick your phone...

You don't need to downgrade your firmware to 2.2 for the purpose of rooting. A tool called ginger break can root phones with 2.2.1 or 2.2.2. For information regarding this tool and other info like installing custom recovery etc., read the following thread -

I may be wrong but this image seems to be for the GT540. I don't think Optimus V is the same phone as Optimus GT540.

Since you have flashed an official ROM( I guess!!)and no root , no recovery. If its in still warranty send it to Lg Service center ,If they don't find any unofficial ROM they may service your phone.Or try your luck by installing new USB drivers on a clean-virus free PC and try KDZ again!!!
I called LG, they transferred me to cm, I told them I tried upgrading using LG software, and they send me a new phone thanks for the help though!

I'm having the exact same issue here. My phone apparently bricked and I can't get adb or fastboot to work, so I'm giving KDZ a try. However, I can't find the proper .kdz file for the LG Optimus V VM670. I found a .kdz file in a KDZ instructional page, but the file was for the P500, not the VM670. I found the stock VM670 firmware, but its in .cab format and internally it contains 2 files that are .wdh format. If anyone knows where I can find the proper .kdz file, please let me know. Thanks!!!
Sorry dude it doesn't exist. The one lg gave out doesn't work.
What I did;
Called lg, said I used their software try. Get to update to 2.2 because my phone came with 2.1
Got transferred.
Told vm the same thing, they told me to write down a number on the letter they're sending with my phone. It would be there In three days.
Four days later a box showed up with a phone skeleton, no back no battery.
I put my skeleton bricked phone in the envelope wrote the number on it and sent it away three days ago.
That's been the life of that situation. Hope you get it fixed/a new phone! :3

so should i call them and tell them the same thing? because i rooted my phone. flashed xiona recovery. and tried to flash an update but i didnt have the beta to update. so i booted back into recovery. made a mistake and selected lg factory reset. now everytime i boot the phone, it automatically wipes and reset in recovery. there isnt any way i can stop it. and my phone only boots to the lg logo. i dont know what to do.
Can you get to recovery? Volume down, power, and home. Because then you could easily fix it. If not then yes try to do what I did.

Try to install latest drivers, there were other users with the same problem and some solved it that way.
i had the same problem.
Was stuck in Emergency Mode like forever. i tried all and didn't work.
Took my cell to a service and they performed something called JTAG. it was somewhere around 25 EURO's. It worked for 2 weeks after that it got back in the same state.
Waited for payday and bought a new LG P500.
The other way around my gfriend had the same problem but KDZ fixed her phone with latest drivers. (only worked on Windows XP not on Windows 7 64 bits)
P.S. Try the manual Emergency Mode not the one it enters when the phone starts.
And also disable the LGE Virtual Modem from the device manager before using KDZ.

I had Oxygen on my phone and I was using it since about a month. Today, suddenly I notice that my phone is turned off even though it had a lot of battery remaining. So, I switch it on and it got stuck at the Oxygen logo for a long time. I tried 2-3 times. So, I booted into recovery which had CWM and tried restoring a backup by selecting "factory reset/clear data" option and then selecting the backup. At the end of the backup process, it said - Error: can't read misc(no space left on device)
As I restarted the phone, it went into emergency mode. It was eternally stuck in this Yellow emergency mode whenever I turned it on.
Thus, I tried searching online and came across KDZ and used it to go back to stock rom. I disabled virtual modem and then tried KDZ with V10E. It initially gave some wparam error 4008 the first time I tried and later on, was always giving wparam error 100; lparam error of 1002.
So, I gave up on KDZ and tried using LDMDP. I tried reinstalling the baseband 20G and then I tried reinstalling recovery onto it. While installing recovery, it showed "Partition table error" at least once and finally one time it said download complete. Now when I turn my phone on, it does not directly go into emergency mode but rather only the LG logo comes up and that logo stays forever.
I even tried hard reset(home + vol down + power) but it doesn't help. It just stays in the lg logo screen.
I dunno what to do anymore. Somebody please help! Is my phone permanently bricked?

Try flashing with KDZ again (to boot into emergency mode, hold Back + Vol Up + Power) and post the error.

Edited my previous post to include those settings.
Just wondering, what operating system are you using? If I remember correctly, I've had trouble using KDZ on Windows 7/8. Luckily I had a Windows XP desktop that did the job. Having said that, maybe you want to try KDZ on another computer.
And you do have your phone's drivers installed right?

Lolz.. you really messed up big time!!
First mistake.. you should have wiped everything before restoring through CWM .
Second mistake.. after using kdz or lgmdp did you even check if your device was booting and your root wasnt broken??... to flash recovery?
Easy way to recover
If you stil got root.. use this method.. push recovery and then flash a rom.

I did use "wipe data" option before restoring.

I did try to see if it was booting after using kdz or lgmdp. The tools always gave error and when I started my device, it wasn't booting.

I have installed Cyanogenmod 9 on my LG Optimus Sol E730. In this moment, my phone won’t start. When I press the power button, the display shows „Emergency Mode!”. Before "Emergency Mode" screen appeared (when Cyanogenmod worked fine), I have tried to go into Recovery Mode, but I was getting the blue screen and the phone restarted. In this momment the phone doesn’t allow me to go into Recovery Mode. I have tried to reinstall the original firmware with KDZ Firmware Update, but I get an error and the program closes.
