baseband update - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm on baseband 55 and I need to be on baseband 67 to use the rom that I want to use.
But I can't find any baseband 67 for rogers branded phones.
where is it?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=960527

I found that thread, but noticed there were basebands branded for at&t and some for rogers but not baseband 67 for rogers.
I ended up flashing 2.1.67 (X10i) even though i have an X10a.
Everything seems fine atm.

it is still compatible, but you might haves some trouble sending mms

no need for root, you'll have to root after you install though. 2.1 update1 is the most recent update, so it wont show an update

I flashed that fw no prob, it has minor differences to the fw you have now but newer bb67. Look for the sticky post "flashtool for noobs" this tells all you need to know.

Optimus T 509 questions

My girlfriend has just got the Optimus T for use with her T mobile prepaid. I am wondering which development section I need to be looking in for regards to which roms will work with her phone and be compatible with T mobile. Did they make a CDMA and GSM version of this phone?
I dont want to start flashing files not meant for her phone or Tmobile's basebands.
I appreciate any help you can give.
I have the optimus t. You can basically flash any old baseband rom like mikos or others.GTR and gingersnap also work for old baseband cuz there's an integrated baseband fix. I updated my baseband to v20g and can confirm that everything works like 3g talk and text. If you don't want to update baseband then I think there's a baseband fix somewhere in the threads...idk where it is cuz I'm on.new bb

I didn't notice any difference in the battery drain. I used the spartan rom along with bb 72 and my phone easily lasted the whole day.

I guess, using an older baseband in newer rom (like any ics or jb based Rom) may result in some problems... Correct me if I am wrong

Baseband is like the driver that controls your phone's radio. Usually baseband is not an issue with ROMs. Gingerbread works fine(atleast with GB-based versions of Cyanogenmod and MIUI).
Thank you for the replies ppl
