I'm not seeing the battery stats jumping behavior, I just restarted my phone 3x and it stays at 70%. Is the bug specific to the unlocked 2.3.4? Occurs starting at a specific % level? I flashed the official .83 SBF, applied the official 2.3.4 OTA update through SD card, and rooted. I did not do any sort of special battery reset or anything.
Im running an at&t based rom of 2.3.4 on a uk phone so maybe thats why? I fixed the ram issue gonna let the battery drain now to see if its fixed

It should work immediately after you flash that fix in CWM

so ive tried two different "fixes" for the battery percentage and no luck.. just changed the icon but still "10%" increments.. i know its possible because the battery circle app shows 1% usung ur batteries voltage and ive seen roms that have 1%.. anyone know how i could fix mine?..

Q: Which rom are you running? It might be dependent on that first. If you're running Joker's ROMs..try this:
1 - Make a backup in CWM - make a copy somewhere too if you want
2 - format system
3 - Wipe data
4 - Reboot recovery
5 - Flash ROM
6 - Flash Battery %
7 - Reboot
8 - Enjoy
See if that works?
Best,
K

My guess is that if it doesn't, you could probably still flash the battery percent fix from Joker's rom since ROCKO is based off of jokers..
What could be causing my battery to go from 20-25 hours of usage down to 7 hours?
It started about the time i flashed the LA2 firmware, I use intratech frankenstein builds, never had a problem before, been flashing since the KE builds.
Things i know aren't the problem:
- apps, I haven't installed any new apps, the battery usage shows no odd app battery consumption
- wifi,bluetooth,3g,gps; I have them turned off most of the time, when i don't need them
- firmware,ROM; i've flashed 3 different ones since the problem started, no change
- bad battery stats, my battery consumption is linear, a straight line from 100% to 1% and it powers off the phone when you would expect it to
Things that could be causing it:
- cache, data wipe; i've never done a wipe of my phone
- new lockscreen, all the firmwares i flashed (LA2,LA4,KPH) since the problem started have the new lockscreen
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Agreed here, sounds like a wakelock issue, I have had this before, Not sure of a fix. I have usually just moved on to a new rom which has fixed it
What is this wakelock you speak of?
I haven't heard of it before.

I googled "android what is wakelock" and got 443000 results. Took me less than 5 seconds.
How many do you get?

My phone is lagging really bad, any idea on how to stop it?
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA
We're going to need more info.
What exactly is lagging? The phone in general or your keyboard?
Are you running stock? Or on a ROM?
Does this persist after you restart? Or have you had your phone on for months straight?
Are you running a bunch of Apps/Widgets? How much free space memory and RAM do you have?
My bros x2 lags. Its gotta be the blur...
Sent from my MB870 using XDA
Not necessarily. I can get cm7 to lag. I imagine the lag is caused by too many processes at one time.

It's really darn hard to brick this thing and flashing is easy.
I'll lay it out like you want to flash Cm7 and you are the 2.3.4 kernel
Root your device
Download Bootstrap recovery (fyi:clockwork recovery and Bootstrap recovery are the same thing)
Install Bootstrap recovery from whatever file manager you use
Get the Cm7 rom, Google apps zip and Cm7 recovery from the Cm7 thread in development and place them on your EXTERNAL sd card
Start Bootstrap (it'll appear as System recovery on your phone)
Wipe Data, cache and Dalvik (Advanced>Dalvik chache)
Then, install zip>choose zip from sd card (now here is where you're supposed to flash the zips from the Cm7 in a particular order. Refer back to that thread as I cannot remember what order it is)
Once you've flashed everything, go back to the first menu and reboot your system.
Also learn how to do a nandroid. Long, and sad stories short it saves assess.

I have used both Eclipse and CM7 on my DX2 for extended periods and I prefer CM7 simply because of how fast it transitions. If you want a lag free phone, go with that.
Follow what thelowend said above, flashing ROM's is really easy. Just read carefully and follow directions and you will be fine

your post here and in the other thread suggest that your battery is just losing its ability to hold charge. wiping stats might pretend that it's fully charged, but you're not going to get optimal charge on an old battery. you can pick up extras for cheap.

I bought some cheap batteries (believe it was a pack of two) for about $20 and they were terrible. They wouldn't hold a charge for longer than 2 hours.

Hey there,
Atm im on resurrection ics (27.05).
Im experiencing a constant battery drain in standby (about 50 mAh). I have already tried different kernels but this did not solve the problem. I did install betterbatterystats to analyse the drain but i dont get whats causing the drain. What stands out is that the android os in the stock battery analysis consumes alot of battery (im not sure if this is as it should be).
Here are some screens, i hope someone can help me..

It looks perfectly normal. Just seems that you restarted your phone twice.
Try to reflash the rom with a full wipe(data, cache, dalvik and system) and install your apps one by one to see if some of them are causing the drain.. if you can't find the solution in this way, try changing rom/kernel.. if you don't solve with this neither, make a backup of your sdcard(s) and reflash with a full wipe.

dont see what the issue is, your battery is hardly dropping anything when in standby.

Sorry for going off topic but could I know the name of the app you use to check the battery?
Try using BetterBatteryStats to see what is using all your battery.
having data enabled will use up a lot of battery, even if phone is sleeping.
I assume wifi is activated but if you didn't check to not disconnect while screen is off, it will disconnect and data will be used during that period

I agree, depending on which ROM u use can change what could be going wrong, and I would use better battery stats app to try and diagnose if there is any significant wake locks.

Wiping battery stats will only clear out the #'s on the screen. It won't help increase battery life.

what worked great for me in that case was to flash RoQ's kernel and using conservative as the governor
got about 2 days with normal use, maybe more.
u can find his kernel in mioptimusone.com
also u can flash cm7 latest nightly, it has improved after RC3
There is no hesitation i think... turn off wifi, 3g data, GPS, sélect 2g networks only in ROM options and come back to us for feedback. Your battery issues are probably due to one of these options. If you got good battery life after you desactivated everything, try enabling wifi, then GPS, then data and see which one is the cause... as far as i can remember, 7.2 has good battery life.

The whole graph is only 25 seconds. Use the phone for some time, then check it again.
It lasted longer with perfect peso kernel D: this one is from gsnap 2.3 with with DJnox's kernel, currently 8 % battery after 11 hours of common use, no gaming, just some 2g and wifi.
