So, i'm new to the Android scene as much as my 3 week old Samsung Galaxy S II.
I do have some little knowledge i've gathered around the forums but i found nowhere if there is a way to customize your notification bar without having your phone rooted or trowing in a custom ROM.
So basically this is my notification bar
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And this is what i'm aiming for, the custom MIUI bar
Is there any way to make that possible?
PS: is there any way to dualboot the Galaxy S II yet? I was wondering if i could get a MIUI or a Cyanogenmod7 or KGF3 or whatever in a microSD card that would automatically boot when i inserted the card, not having to touch my original ROM.

I've looked in both forums, XPeria x10 and Galaxy S, for an app or mod to get the Galaxy S Notification Bar functionality:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I found a recommendation for the Quickdesk App, which is not what I'm looking for.
I've also found instructions for copying the Galaxy Theme. The images provided don't show the specific notification bar functionality I'm looking for nor do I care for the entire Galaxy Theme/Launcher/Home/Design.
Does anyone know of a app with functionality within the Notification Bar or a way to directly port this feature?
Much appreciated.
Um, friedflow has toggles for a couple of settings on the market. Just search friedflow, otherwise trips miui rom has all the settings available in the notification bar same as galaxy s
Hello All, I've decided to make my venture into the theming world by releasing an Icon pack. What I've done is ported Gingerbread SMS Icons to GOSMS.
You can get the latest version (8/6/11) here
It has an array of colored versions of the stock GB icon (HDPI).

I'll take color requests, I don't take specifics such as HEX/RGB but if you attach a pic of the color I'll match it (or at least get close).
Also here's a zip with all the icons you can use for your own use (just let me know if you plan to release it!)
I'm currently running WanamLite XBLFB Stock Rom. I've been looking for details on how to change the dialer buttons to transparent as I've managed to change the background to a custom image. I've found instructions for AOSP Roms but most of them seem to involve using DialerTabActivity.apk which I've been unable to find on my phone. I suppose it's different on an ICS Stock ROM.I'd be grateful if anybody can direct me to the file that's responsible for this and tell me what to edit. If there's already a tutorial that's applicable for our phone, please post the link
This is what I want to change.

33 Views and no reply!?....Anyone!?!?!?!?
I'm running the latest PAC Rom (gsm version) and every so often the notification bar will disappear as well as the wallpaper. Also the app switcher will not work.
I have searched Google, asked in the PAC thread but have still not come across a solution.
I have run other jb 4.2.2 roms without this problem.
A reboot doesn't fix it but some times it will just reappear after a random amount of time.
If anybody has any ideas what causes this or how to get the notification bar back would be grateful.

M previews and alot of custom marshmallow ROMs have a night mode which change the interface to a dark theme, but it isn't present on stock final version of marshmallow
It's possible to activate it on stock or roms that doens't have this feature "enabled" on a "not so difficult" way?
I'm not an expert but also I'm not a total noob, I have enough knowledge to decompiled and change some minor things on apps (like SystemUI), but I never decompiled/modified an entire rom
My device is a Nexus 5
