I've looked in both forums, XPeria x10 and Galaxy S, for an app or mod to get the Galaxy S Notification Bar functionality:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I found a recommendation for the Quickdesk App, which is not what I'm looking for.
I've also found instructions for copying the Galaxy Theme. The images provided don't show the specific notification bar functionality I'm looking for nor do I care for the entire Galaxy Theme/Launcher/Home/Design.
Does anyone know of a app with functionality within the Notification Bar or a way to directly port this feature?
Much appreciated.
Um, friedflow has toggles for a couple of settings on the market. Just search friedflow, otherwise trips miui rom has all the settings available in the notification bar same as galaxy s

So, i'm new to the Android scene as much as my 3 week old Samsung Galaxy S II.
I do have some little knowledge i've gathered around the forums but i found nowhere if there is a way to customize your notification bar without having your phone rooted or trowing in a custom ROM.
So basically this is my notification bar
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And this is what i'm aiming for, the custom MIUI bar
Is there any way to make that possible?
PS: is there any way to dualboot the Galaxy S II yet? I was wondering if i could get a MIUI or a Cyanogenmod7 or KGF3 or whatever in a microSD card that would automatically boot when i inserted the card, not having to touch my original ROM.
Yeah, been trying out many custom roms and such lately, and there's something I've been wondering.
I'm not a huge fan of Touchwiz, but I liked whenever I got a text message, it would appear on the lockscreen and would let me swipe right into it.
At the same time, I prefer lockscreens like Widget Locker or JKay etc.
Was just wondering if there's something out there that's like a hybrid of the two?
Well, in CM9 you can set lockscreen shotcuts. So you can set a shortcut to open the messaging app.

I know. And I do, but that's not what I want.
I like how the notification thing pops up only when I get a text.
Hi,
I'd like to know if it's actually default google now behaviour or not. When ever weather cards / traffic updates show up, I only get to know about it if i pull down the notification panel. No icon (the car and the cloud) appears on the status bar. Is there any way to enable this? I notice it appearing only when I select it via the halo (Nexus 4 - ParanoidAndroid / CrDroid] Is it like this for everyone?
Thanks.

I'm specifically speaking about these kind of notification icons. They never appear!

The Google Now Launcher is my favourite for my device, however I've recently run into some problems with the status bar and then capacitive keys.
They come up as block bars instead of the usual transparent look. Any help would be appreciated and although it is only an aesthetic problem, it is putting me off the launcher itself.

Yup, same thing here. I got frustrated and started using Nova Launcher again.
I can't see your image for some reason, so here's mine. (ignore the status bar icon style, it's the Google Style ROM from Rajeev):
Hi,
Lately i've been trying to tweak the parts i don't like about the Samsung theme, but there are two thing i haven't managed to do yet.
Does someone know how i can hide/remove this annoying Dual-Sim block in the notification panel?

And also how i can change the Battery icon in the top bar? Would love to have it horizontal or like stock android.
I managed to change the clock font, 4G bars, hide dual sim icon and other icons with Substratum and Good Lock, but the battery icon seems to be the only one that can't be changed.
I rooted my phone, if that helps.
Thanks in advance!
