not quite true there are some system differences, its prerooted and allows you to sbf back to 4.1.83 without bricking, those are differences worth pointing out.

Lol!!
Not with ken ofcourse!!!!!!!
Dissapointed with motorolla!!
we thank ken!!
He had this leaked version more than a month before.. And it was exactly the same with moto.. They didn't fix anything.. Like pure battery life.. Etc etc..

sorry i meant to quote a different post not yours but ya he has done great

its the same but Kennethpenn's rom does not have 1080p recording (or maybe there is something wrong with my device) i do not recommend to flash until they find a fix for the battery drain issue

2.3.4 only has 1080p playback, not recording. Read the release notes.

Thanks to all for the answers !!! now i understand
Kennethpenn's = good
OTA update = evil

Zero difference. Kens doesn't enable tethering or even unlock the default apns.
I personally found htkw to be faster than the official 2.3.4. Gps still sucks compared to 1.83

App draw problems

Recently updated to KH3 and notice a problem with my app draw. Set up all my folders and pages of apps but when I reboot it removes apps from folders and re arranges all the apps randomly. I have saved each page after edit but still doesn't stop this happening.
Anyone have any ideas?

Just had a look at the light and paid and it states there is no difference between the two versions. The paid one is just to support the dev.
Yes it was me who made the mod. I think the thread is still knocking about but its outdated now with the newer firmwares.
When I get a spare hour I will look to do some for KH3 as I have just updated to that.
Could be but the free version works great for me.
BTW- I am still using your battery mod, on KF3. Won't they work on 2.3.4, to which I believe I'll be updating soon?

I haven't tried the old ones on 2.3.4. I just made one for 2.3.4 that I needed for now.
Once the firmware updates calm down I will make some more. Haven't got time to make them every week which is how the new firmwares seem to be dropping.

ICS.......

So, I've been running the ICS leak from April on my original RAZR since the day it came out and I absolutely love it. I have also been reading all of the speculative posts about the" official" release to be available soon. I have 2 questions/concerns that I would love to hear some opinions.
1. What will the official release give me that the leak doesn't?
2. How do I back up all of my apps and progress on my games if I do decide to update?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

LMAO....We can only wish the official release will be "bug free"...We all know that won't be the case. It never is. They fix one thing, and break another.

Yeah they "should" but it won't be like this. But i think that the ICS update will be mostly bug free.
And if they don't open up the bootloader they will partially fail by losing some customers..

Right on! Unlockable bootloader would be HUGE! I hope ICS for the RAZR is better than that of the Nexus....Nexus 4.0.2 is very buggy!

Lol 84 is extremely nice. Better than 75 . Moto is really working on a full nice release. I can only guess 204 is better. The ota will have less bugs than 8r does and I haven't encountered any issues in 2 weeks of use. Ota will be very nice without a doubt
It will be bug free, or close. Leaked betas point this way. It may have bugs but will be really impressive SO. Probably much better andstable than actual gb.
Btw. I think you guys are too smart to believe in a 100% bug free system. Think you got it

No benefit to waiting, he may just be a "stock" kind of guy. However, I could care less about the actual stock OS, I am just glad that junk was released so the source will follow. That's what everyone around here is actually excited about.

You need to have at least 3 charge cycles before you can experience the difference.
Yes when I first got my s3 the battery was pretty bad compared to iPhone 4. But do the cycles and find a good rom and it's a whole nother world. I suggest read a lot here and watch YouTube vids

Depends on what all you have activated and what all is running in the background. Switch off gps, auto sync, auto sync is the main cause of battery drain, also turn off wifi and 3g data when not in use, standby time on idle should be 1% drain in 2-3 hours as per the latest firmware LG8, im getting full day battery with normal usage with screen time of 4-5 hours...

Your rom is fine... Just use it for couple of days and you will see the difference. By the way, turn off gps if not in use and turn off NFC. Also turn off any gesture you don't use at all.

And another question, does omega use a custom kernel to improve battery life?

it is a LEAK as you said. it consumes heavy ram as it is a beta firmware and hence lagging is common. try using GREENIFY if the phone is rooted.

I am using Imperium 14.1 which is based on the last Leak firmware XXUFME7 with Android 4.2.2. - have been on it a couple of days but it's been ok so far. I've only really used it for day to day stuff like web, email, video, music, sat-nav etc, etc (i don't play games on my phone).
