I recently downloaded some gameloft games which when I wanted to install them,it restarted my optimus one. For ex Order & Chaos etc
So I flashed it with CM7. Still don't the same thing.
Can this be fixed somehow by editing the build.prop file or doing any other modifications?

Our phone does not yet support these games because of the CPU (arm v6) so do not expect to run most recent games yet. Maybe after some months or decades o1 will support them lol.

Not true. Well officially it doesn't support those,but there is a russian Optimus One blog where the russians have modified a bunch of gameloft games to work on Optimus one. Here are a few examples which are fixed:
Asphalt 5
NOVA
Eternal Legacy
Modern Combat Sandstorm
Assassins Creed
HAWX
Gangster
Hero Of Sparta
and one of my fav games too: Guerilla Bob
I suppose there is some code in the installer apk file which isn't compatible with the system,that's why we get restarting,but those russians can fix this so there is some way around this.

You can try chainfire 3d app.
It isn't problem with the graphics. The games would run on Optimus One with reduced graphics with Chainfire.
The problem is that I can't even install the games.
When I try to install,it reboots my phone...
I know there is a way to fix this because those russian developers have already fixed some of those games so it IS possible.
Does any1 have the same prob?

Already fixed this restarting issue. Flashed the latest CM7 and now there is no more restarting,I can install whatever I want.

ok.. here are the reasons why your phone reboots while installing those games.. .
the GAME you DOWNLOADED was not an ARMV6 compatible games.. .
but.. but.. but .. .
there's a lot of GAMELOFT GAMES now that was MODIFIED to RUN on ARMV6 Devices.. . and played a lot of em' like .. .
NOVA • GUERILLA BOB • ASPHALT 5 • i also have STUPID ZOMBIES • DEAD SPACE • ETERNAL LEGACY • BOTHERS IN ARMS • and other GAMES which is not really made for ARMV6 DEVICES.. .
here's a tip.. .
trynna look for an ARMV6 installer/apk.. .Google it.. just type "Order & Chaos for ARMV6"

JasataPein is right, the apk u dwnlded isnt compatible. just try dwnlding another APK..

hello i have rooted optimus one (stock 2.3.3 V20B) .
I am trying to play HD games like asphalt 6,but its says "srry this video cannot be played" and then "force close",i have also tried samurai 2 and assasins creed but nothing works
So i read somewhere flashing new rom and kernel and overlocking may play these games.Is this right?
If so can anyone please suggest the best ROM/KERNEL for me.
Did you over clock it? I think you should get a rom with over clocking (I use openoptimus)and download an overclocking app like CPU masters (its free) to speed it up

Ummm.. I don't know who gave you that idea, but rooting will not help you play HD games. Also, Asphalt 6 is not supported by our phone. And even if you overclock it, you must understand that our phone is not a 1 GHz Nexus S, so some HD games will never work on P500. So if you try other games and they don't work, consider it as an unsupported game and don't post here about the installation failure.
PSlease read up on the sticky threads. They are here specifically to help newbies.

I think the main reason that the HD game doesnt work is the small screen res we have now... We are only using HVGA, while those HD games are meant for something like WVGA or qHD...
I am playing GRave Defence HD and Fieldrunners HD without problems. But most HD games are not meant for our Optimus One. You'll have to accept that...

I have decided to flash custom rom and overlock
I guess doing so will solve the problem....
To ease the pain of everyone testing please post HD games that do and don't work with jellybean, with version number if possible, so we don't have to download gigs and gigs of data to find it doesn't work

I bought Asphalt 6 on sale last year from the playstore and it did not work. Contacted Gameloft and they said i shouldn't have bought from Playstore because Defy is not compatible (facepalm). After a few months it become and worked ok. They even offered me a free game from Gameloft store (which shows you only games for your selected device).
So what i am trying to say is that Gameloft has a hard time making games work for everybody. I saw that Asphalt 7 does not run on Nexus 7 for example. So if you bought it wait, (can take a while) if you crack it.... just wait for the game to work and buy it... When it was $7 i believed you... now it's only $1...

Play store does limit visibility for incompatible games. I bought backstab and Nova 2 on my desire z when I had it and now I can't see them on defy. Also asphalt 6 has worked fine for me on every version from 1.0.8, if it shows in market its supposed to work. So gameloft can s*** my d*** if that's the bull they've rammed down your throat

Try editing it to a Samsung galaxy S, search it though I just done 12hrs at work so CBA to show you

Thanks, I did that. Used a build.prop editor from xda and changed the ro.product.model. Rebooted, got a blank screen after the CM logo
Pushed a backup build.prop with adb, didn't help. Reflashed kernel and CM10, I'm fine now. Exciting times for a noob like me

works very well on cm7-jordan (maniac103's latest builds anyway).hehehe.
900 some MB of SD data, 1.4GB once unzipped ouch! - no more space
for a safety nand backup on my sd card.. better go do some cleanup...
One more reason to stick with cm7 for me then...

I have tried different versions from the market and other sites with no luck :crying:
I don't have any app that could affects the games , I also tried to do factory reset with no change
I know it is not hardware issue , it software issue , but I just don't know what to do :crying:

I tried Nova 3 and Asphalt 7 and they worked.

Hi. Im trying to play dungeon hunter 2 hd and the game keeps crashing about a video that cant be played @ startup.
I was trying to buy it from the gameloft shop but i cant because as it says my device is not supported by this game ..
Weird because i remember i was able to play it smooth before the ics update on my Xperia sola
is there any way to play it ? i want to play so bad but i cant find any way to fix the problem and im searching two days at google and xda forums but no luck , nothing works!

yes i did play it on gb ..
i tried everything with chainfire 3d but nothing worked because the error is about a video cant be played at startup and the game crashes. it doesnt even start.
how can it be because of that when im able to play dungeon hunter 3 and nova 3 lag free

It has been confirm that Dungeon Hunter 2 will not work and never work on ICS. Just downgrade to GB to play it.

since our ace has some problems and issues with our broadcom videocore gpu, we can't play most 3d games on our phone...
you can play those games by installing chainfire 3d on your phone...!!

i have rooted phone and using mindcr 2.9 rom...
o already have chainfire 3d pro plus the lug ins ... my problem is i download the game but wont install ive downloaded a couple just to get a no install... it looks like its installing buen the after it finishes i get no install....
i have all 3 plug ind and i know how to use them .. narcoguerra its not a 3d game as far as i know is like a strategy game it shows the map in 2d i think i havent seen the video....
i just downloadeed a game called horse race simulator and same thing other game is weaphons 1.1 ... same wont install.
her it is i think it should be able to run i dont see as a heavily 3d games mostly a 2d game
