Does the stock voicemail work on it?

Don't know I use Google voice, have since it came out. Post in the thread and see what pops up.

All of the GB roms have the vmail notification bug. If you absolutely must have working vmail notification, then go with a Froyo rom

refers the OP back to a similar posting a few posts down (that has more replies and to avoid redundancy):

actually, I think the droidtheory series have a fix for vvm. Reported as working. Not sure why OP is being so picky about Youmail, it has been 100% rock solid for me.
I guess if you have to have a 100% working ROM, your best bet is to stay stock.

Please Advise ! I would love to have my voicemail notifications working. I'm running Infusetheroy. I've tried youmail, and one other.

Ready5 released a VVM fix for the alpha GB base. I believe its been added to the netflix sticky thread in the mods section. Don't know if VVM works on the new GB base. I've been running th3ory's 3D 6.02 and its terrific for me. I too use my phone for business and it just works, great battery, etc. Will likely run his Infuse release after its baked in awhile. But, this is working so well after a month of constant flashing, I am not ready to move to the new leak just yet.

(APP) Wireless Tether Themed

Here is a themed version of Wireless Tether for anyone who uses it or wants to use it. The app is a free app so I didn't think it would be a problem to post it here for everyone to grab if they want it.
For those that don't know wireless tether is the best (In my opinion) for getting unlimited wife tethering from your phone to your computers either over wifi or bluetooth. YOU MUST HAVE ROOT for this app to work. I changed nothing to the functionality of the app, only to the apperance and have successfully tested on my Photon.
Wife tethering huh..... not a big fan of sharing my wife.
Just kidding man. Looks good

Great job man! It looks really good! I am going to definitely download this.
Thanks guys. I know it isn't anything fancy but I got tired of looking at the same screen when I use it. I think my next project will be a themed phone and maybe dialer, maybe the green lantern or spiderman

Does it work we have rooted droid x and gingerbread ? I had gingerbread at 1 time and none of the tethering app work reliably. I had to go back to froyo on my droid x and root to get a wireless tether to work properly. I sure would like to go back to gingerbread.

Def. give me a little time. We are busier then normal today at work so I haven't had time to do anything at all today lol. But I will post one up.
I'll give this a run on my device, the MT4G (MyTouch 4G) running the latest MIUI.
Though I can do this normally I would like to give this a go so that others know it works. Thanks for the work put into this and hopefully others get involved in the freedom.

14 toggles from skyrocket forum?

I thought I saw someone say that on the ICS leak we can add a 14 toggle mod from the skyrocket ICS to work on the note. Anyone have info in that regard?
I'm still on GB but will be upgrading soon and looking for this mod most definitely. Battery percentage too... in blue!!!!
Ideas?

no, the rom has to be deodexed to work.
The blue battery/signals bars works on the stock ICS. The 14 toggle doesn't work right for me.. I have it working but it's green.

I'm running dagr8 version with blue ui from from OP and 15 toggle mod from the theme/app section in this forum (mod from skyrocket ics). It all works and looks great. This rom is sivkeningly awesome BTW. I have no complaints. It felt slow and laggy at first but it seems like the more I use it and the longer I run it gets smoother. Just settling in I guess.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I have spent the last day or so trying to get ICS up and running, but I run into this one problem. Both the 14 and 15 toggle panels, on both Alpha 1 and 2, seem to work fine but result in SystemUI crashes when trying to use USB mass storage. I have reflashed probably a dozen times now, with both alphas, wiping cache and dalvik and fixing permissions, with no luck. Yet I have seen only maybe 1 post with similar issues.
Am I doing something wrong? Or do I just have horrible luck and need to try for lucky number 13? Fortunately ICS and Apex are still alot of fun to use so I don's miss the toggles much, it's just frustrating to be the only one.

[Q] installing rc3 tab rom

So I've been running rc1 since it was release but I'm thinking about trying the rc3 update. I just finished downloading the rc3 updated rom but what a the best way to flash, wipe data etc and what about the addons? I tried finding some flashing specifics but there are just too many pages to filter thru on the Dec page.

There have been some issues with RC3 ygst DaGr8 is working on. He solved the major inescapable and is currently working to get the ROM stable.
I would wait for RC4.

since there are a lot of changes from release to release, the best way to flash is obviously a full wipe, then flash...
I have been running rc3 for a few days with ZERO issues, so feel free to flash it now

RC3 has issues like exchange service and dpi issues. Contacts FC'ing. Samsung Calendar as well. These FC's occur after applying the tablet ui. (except exchange which happens from the get go.)
I want tablet mode so that's why I am waiting.
Sent from my Samsung i717R using XDA Premium. Hit Thanks if I've helped.
i don't use exchange, so I deleted the app, so no fc's for me; also, don't use tablet mode; need larger fonts, so thats not an issue for me either
no issues with calendar or anything else for me

Thinking of rooting - Sprint

What's a rom that has good battery life and speed? Also need stability but understand there will be bugs on most roms. I hate the laggy ness on stock.
What recovery is recommended for installing roms? This is the Sprint version. Oh and I need a rom with 4G working, I don't have Wi-Fi at home and 3G on Sprint is a joke.
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
My understanding is (and Im stupid) 4G is lost when you unlock but if you dont have it anyway, why care? 3G is a joke and i rarely use it!
As for recovery, look for me "I F'ed UP" thread. you loose everything, but you get your phone back!
I am in a area where I DO get 4G wimax. Is there a decent rom that has 4G working?

Assuming you are still on 2.3.4 and not 2.3.5 you can use mofs rom. Its generally a stock rom but you'll get 1080p camera, some bug fixes, notification bar toggles and much less lag. You'll just need to root, install bootstrap recovery, and flash it.

Ever since updating to 2.3.5 I've noticed battery life that's better than ever. And the lag can be rid off of simply by choosing a different launcher from Blur. Like Go or ADW. IMO.
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
I am actually on 2.3.5 and I put go launcher on last night. So far it's cool, better than stock blur. I was hoping there'd be a decent rom out but I understand having locked boot loaders really sucks. Thanks for all the helpful replies!! I really appreciate it!!

Current Tbolt users current Rom questions

Is anyone running the stock ota rooted? Or is everyone running the new ics roms? My charger port isn't working anymore and I'm looking to get a replacement Tbolt :/ I'm not looking forward to it at all. Is there a universal way to root the Tbolt still? Since there are different
"Versions" of the Tbolt and each require a way to root it, right? Or am I incorrect?

I'm running Infected Eternity, which is sense 3.5 gingerbread. I love the new ICS ROMs and the whole idea of having ICS on the Thunderbolt but right now, I need something more stable and with a working camcorder since I use my phone a lot to record my one year old.
To root your new Thunderbolt, use the program in the link below.
Before you root, just make sure your new Thunderbolt is updated to software version 2.605.19... which it should be.
Don't forget to thank trter10 for his program.

Have you tried NuSense or Unsense? Both are ics and the camcorder works fine with them.

Are there any current ics roms that are stable without any major issues? I've been reading through various pages and forums and it seems as if I need to have a great knowledge base in order to even flash one. Lots of technical grammar and procedures. I'm pretty much rooting my phone for the wifi tethering, debloating of Verizon junk, with a little bit of customization.
