I am planning on calling Verizon to get a Droid Charge as a replacement. I have CM7 installed do not wish to do a factory restore to stock. (I need my phone to be useable till I get the Charge) Could someone with stock please give me a screen shot or list stats for the About Phone screen? It would be most helpful to my self and maybe others.

Stock is ed04 froyo. Unless you want to get charged for the charge you need to figure out which of the various methods to use to get back stock before you sent the phone back. Hint all the info you need is stickied.
good day. using xda premium.
I have no problems going back to stock using oden. As you know the whole process will take less then 5 minuets. I just don't want to do it till I actually have the charge in hand to make the switch.
Are you saying the About Phone Info is stickied because I can't find it? I have done a Google Search and a Forum Search.

Thanks for any help guys!
Step one is to get off of eclair and start using froyo.
If you follow the installation instructions on this thread, you'll get a stock EC01 rom.
Once you have the rom, download either of the EC01 downloads from the theme page (with or without animations; that's up to you) to your sdcard, then boot up cwm and install the zip.
Can you understand the instructions on the EC01 thread, or do you need further help?

Thanks for your help, do I need to flash to eb01 like it says? (I dont like eclair)
You don't NEED to do anything aside die and pay taxes. Should you follow the tried and tested method? Well, do you want a process that is tried and confirmed working our do you want to gamble with something that might or might not work? Are you then willing to trouble shoot?
Its recommended to wipe when going from eclair to froyo anyway.

You should follow the instructions exactly as listed to have the best chance of things working. So yeah, odin the stock package.
And yes, you would want to wipe data if you were simply installing a froyo rom over an eclair one (otherwise you'd get force-closes all over the place). But the stock package (which is froyo and much newer than dj20) takes care of that automatically. (Also, the instructions say not to wipe during the rest of the steps.)

Hey guys, I've been having problems with my vibration since I flashed Blackhole a while back.. I've just flashed to Superclean v2.9.2 and I'm still having the same problem.. I get absolutely no haptic feedback even with all settings on.. I'm still fairly new to this and have been learning as I go but can't figure out this one..
Here's what I got.
Firmware: 2.2.1
Broadband Version: S:1500.04 V.EB01
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9
Build Number: SCH-I500.EB01
I'm sure I'm just missing something here. I appreciate any help. Thanks.
In your specific problem, I would odin to stock. here's why.
if you odin to stock and it doesn't work, then you are already set to take it to verizon. If it does work you are in prime position to go back to a custom rom knowing that it isn't hardware.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
So my best bet would be just to flash with a fresh copy of DL09 and see if it works? I'm assuming I should clear all my data and cache through clockwork also?
If you odin, then your cache and dalvik will be cleared anyways.

Hi I have to ask and I've tried searching and I came up with nothing.
I recently upgraded my stock Froyo Samsung Galaxy SGH T959 which I had rooted to Gingerbread by flashing on Odin3 v1.82. The problem now is that I used the rom for a GT-I9000 instead. So, pressing the home button does nothing but move stuff to the left. Is there a way I can get my phone to run the appropriate Gingerbread rom for SGH T959?
My concerns are is it safe to immediately flash to 2.3x for the SGH T959 or is it safer instead to downgrade it to 2.2x then flash it to 2.3x?
This is the information I get from Settings>About phone
Model number: GT-I9000
Firmware version: 2.3.4
Baseband version: I9000XXJVQ
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9000XXJVQ-CL281085 [email protected] #2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.XXJVQ
In using Odin3 v.182 I had ticked 6 boxes "Re-Partition, Auto Reboot, F. Reset Time, PDA, PHONE, CSC. I also had used a PIT which was "s1_odin_20100512.pit"
the .tar's I used for PDA/PHONE/CSC were;
PDADA_XXJVQ_Sbl.tar.md5
PHONE: PHONE_XXJVQ.tar.md5
CSC: CSC_OXAJVQ.tar.md5
I hope whatever info I gave was relevant and I anticipate and thank you in advance for any help that you can offer.
Its your phone, but i would not do it. your about phone 19000 model shouldnt be the, and the button issues need to be addressed. If you think it will overwrite the gt, it may not,it could brick. Id start over. My opinion.
I mean stock, 2.2 may brick too, get more info.

You need to flash your phone back to stock JDF Rom with Odin and start over with a GB Rom made for the Vibrant.
Get the AIO Vibrant toolbox from the top of the development thread. Make sure you read the instructions first and you'll be fine. Good luck.

So if I flash back to stock JDF Rom with Odin using this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734475, why would I need the AIO Vibrant toolbox for? Also where can I get a GB Rom made for the Vibrant? I look around and I see unstable custom roms like cyanogen 7, etc etc. Also I tried searching for the AIO Vibrant toolbox and I can't seem to find the download code. Thanks.

The AIO toolbox has all the JDF files included in it. That's why I suggested you use it. It is in the Development section at the top of the page. You can use the files in the link you provided also, they are the same ones that are in the toolbox. It is just easier to use it since its just one click to flash it. As for CM7, it is very stable. I have it running on my Vibrant now and have be using it for months. I get around 20 hours of battery. I would suggest using Eugene's Kernel with it also. It is in the development section under CM7 Streamline Kernel. Give it a try. You wont be disappointed.

I did the same a couple of days ago. You can see my thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363535 . With GT-I9000 Rom the volume buttons of my phone swapped. Search button stopped working (infect started working as Right arrow button). media speakers of my phone also stopped working.
I used AIO tool box and it worked like charm and my phone was back to Eclair in few minutes. Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully.
Well after a whole day of testing around I soft bricked it once and managed to get it back to Eclair then back on to Froyo. Right now I still don't dare to play around and try to upgrade to Gingerbread. At least not until I back up my current rom and know how to use it properly.
Bigtom624, 20 hours of battery life is amazing! I'll definitely give CyanogenMod7 a try. What do you mean by Eugene's kernel by the way?

Here's a link to the Kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324212 After you set up your phone with CM7 download it and flash it in CWM and you'll be good to go. Since your new to all this flashing I suggest you read as much as possible before you try anything. So many people hear don't and the wind up messing up the phones. I don't mind helping anybody cause I was new once, but you have to do some things yourself if you want to learn. Let me know how you make out. If you need any advice let me know. Here's the link to the AIO Toolbox http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954509.
Can anyone please get me the "virgin" UCKK6 kernel designation/name using CPU Spy? I am looking for someone with a phone that has never been rooted and has never changed the stock ROM. I have rooted and changed ROM's myself and am trying to get it back to a like new state and want to see if the kernel version I have matches a "virgin" phone.
Thanks!

Virgin zImages are in my Return-to-Stock thread in Development.
Thanks. That's what I used to restore my phone. I was just double checking the kernel designation after it had been updated to UCKK6, as I believe your return to stock uses UCKH7. I'm kind of anal that way.
By the way, you rock! I appreciate all the time and effort you put in here. I have spent way too many hours reading your posts.
The one you want will include the following essential info:
I777UCKK6-CL770444

BTW, Entropy has a KK6 return to stock download in that thread now, as well as the KH7 ones.
Thank you!

you can change the modem if you want. i am currently using KL1 modem or LP1. Signal strength is great and not so bad either on the battery. everyone raves about this modem anyway. Regarding the kernel that you are using if it is giving you great battery life and stability that is great to. Now i am using siyah latest version and also the latest version of cwm manager apk which is version 3.0 and clockwordmod recovery which is 5.0.27. i think you are on 4.0 something if i am not mistaken.
what i am trying to say here as long as you are getting stability and good battery life no need to update or flash and just wait for when ICS villainrom is out. if you are a flash junkie then siyah kernel is a good start or speedmod kernel if you do not like to tweak around with voltages

thanks for the reply mate, i will have a look at updating the modem you suggested, being an Android virgin i dont like to mess around too much as i don't want to completely screw up my phone! like you said its working fine apart from the odd app crashing, might be best to just wait for villainrom ics.
