Mango 7712 for devs to convert to HD2 - if possible - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Development

This is a link to a Zune client download of the latest release of Mango (7712). Hopefully a dev can use it and make a ROM of it for our HD2s.

yes, another beta (maybe beta 3) but this time twitter integration seems to be working.
I am waiting patiently for a ripe mango build.

his right you need to rebuild the rom for the hd2 ... that is the drivers that are in those builds are not compatible with the HD2,
and your phone will look at you funny if you try to use those methods....

What do you mean destroy your sdcard? Your sdcard isn't destroyed when you run wp7, all you have to do is delete the partitions and re-format it via a computer..

No, he is correct, certain methods of update on hd2 destroy your card completley, This has been known about for a while now.
What you are mistaken for is simply flashing your rom and it getting partitioned.
2 different scenarios.

Yes, your sdcard will be destroyed, gone, dead and there is nothing you can do to make jt work again. I have tried it myself today.

Your sdcard is not dead, just locked with a password at least that is what a Nokia E51 reports when you format it.
I have attempted the update to 7661 several times with a 4 and 8 gig sandisk card each time the cards appear to be useless, but I recovered the cards by formatting them in a Nokia E51 phone.

So can you test to update from DFT to 7661 and after to 7212
I can't broke the only 32GB i have.

i put my "destroyed" card in a n87 mini formatted no problems
did the procedure several times and have not had a problem.

my sony alpha 33 says the card is locked, what it appears to be is the card gets locked similar to a ATA lock that the origonal XBOX did. only with the ATA lock you had to unlock the drive before you could do anything to it.
On the nokia click cancel to the security code prompt, open file manager then the sd card. press options and find format.

Mango tried to kill my SD too
Just to chime in: when I tried a green mango ROM, my SD card seemed pretty broken too. I fixed it by flashing a stable verson of WP7.
No problem!
