Hi All.
What kind of encryption is used on the Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet? We are using Acer Iconia A500 if that is of relevance. We assume it is AES-128 bit with CBC, but we have been unable to confirm this.
Furthermore. Is the encryption software or hardware based?
Thank you
Cheers.
I am also curious.

Hello,
I purchased the ViewPad 10 dual boot quite some time ago, and have come to the point where it is pointless to have Windows 7 on a tablet with only 16 GB HDD.
As a result, I have been interested in installing Android on this tablet, replacing the existing Windows install.
I know how to install Android, as I have previously upgraded the 1.6 version to 2.2. However, given 2.2 is the latest official version released by ViewSonic, I am stuck.
Can anyone link me to the latest compatible version of Android that works on the ViewSonic? I have researched and read that there is an Android 3.2 release for a 'Vega2' that may work with the ViewSonic 10, though I am not 100% sure about this.
Also, will all Android apps work on the x86 architecture? If they don't work via Android Market, is there another way to get them working?
Hopefully someone can help me out here.
Can anyone help me out.....?
I also have a Viewpad 10Pi
I also have a Viewpad 10Pi and I am wondering if there is anyway to root it? Thanks Tom
Hello, Android supports full device encryption since Honeycomb but when I went looking on my Folio 100 with Cyanogenmod 10 I found no encryption option under Settings>Security. Does anyone know what's the reason for this and if it will be supported in future? Thanks in advance
Hello, I was wondering if there was a way I can root my Acer Iconia B1-710 Android tablet ( http://amzn.to/1mWaQoY )
It is running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. I have tried multiple methods but it keeps telling me that I have not enabled USB debugging mode (and yes I activated it & the thing that allows non official apps).
I did find this thread on the matter ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365627 ) but I am not sure if it is out dated and I also have no idea what to do with any of the files. Also if it is possible, to help me in installing a ROM ( at least thats what I think it is) that will aid me in making my battery last longer).
Any help is welcome!
Thank you.

Hi there,
I am looking for an out-of-box Android tablet of version 5.0.1 or later, that has built-in kernel module for the USB Serial. The Android tablet also needs to be rooted.
Has anyone used similar tablet in the development project? If so I would really appreciate if you could shed some light on the tablet details.
Thanks in advance
Ray
