I was looking through the games in TegraZone and realized that they finally released ARMA II Firing Range. Has anybody tried it yet?

I see it in Tegra zone. When I try to buy it, it took me to Android market. Trying to buy it there, I get a "the item you are trying to buy can not be located."

Refresh maybe? Just search it in the market. It should be there too.

Looks like the dev's server isn't ready for the game. I bought it via web market, and it downloaded ~70-something mb. Clicked the game and it needed to download another 100-something mb. The game starts goes "oops, there's an error communicating with the server." Then it just sits at a loading screen "loading feint..." whatever that is.
Connection to their server is still not working, but you can play by hitting the Honeycomb back button. You'll hear music, and get to the main menu. select your gun and then you get to 3 target areas. Btw, anytime you get to a loading screen where it's trying to connect to their server, just hit the back button to get back into the game. Here are the 3 settings:
1. Desert - setting where you shoot 10 shots at a stationary target, the distance is adjustable.
2. Plains - moving targets at various distance. You can adjust the target movement speed, and the total amount of time to shoot.
3. Hangar - indoor targets at various distance that pops up. You can adjust the number of targets to shoot, and amount of time each target stay up.
Points are adjusted to according to difficulty, with the scoring multiplier. It's not deep gameplay, just target shooting and killing time. But it's $1.99 so what the heck.

If you go to the mobile site all you have to do on the front page is select android then the next page should have cut the rope on top of the list. Click it and then you should see a download button. Either way seems easy

One of the best games on any platform I've ever played. Not sure how it would be on a smaller device but it is brilliant on the NC. Highly recommend if you haven't already picked it up.
It does not work for me. I cannot choose the phone type when I open the page and when I search for it, it tells me that it's not compatible with my device I'm on phiremod 6.2 firmware.
It did the same thing to me. All you need to do is select HTC Hero and download the apk.

I don't know if the nightly is causing the issue but I'm running 108 and dals 6/18 kernel and I played through the first box of levels last night and the game ran great.
Wierd.. i loaded up nightly 108, and the 6/18 kernel, SAME exact problem. I hit 'play', it goes to the doorbell screen, then it goes back to the loading screen and drops me at the main menu again! Do i need to change my build.prop file to get this to work or something? i'm even using autokiller to make sure nothing else is running
Got working version with hacked APK.
I downloaded the apk, used Root Explorer to copy and paste to system/app and changed permissions to rw-r-r. Cut the Rope now appears in drawer but when I try to open the screen flashes and returns me to the home. I tried unchecking and checking the non-market apps box in Nook Color Tools. I've rebooted a couple of times. I don't really have a FC situation as it doesn't acutally open.
Any suggestions?
Pretty smooth, no issues running it on CM7.
Don't click on the BOX in the doorway, wait a second and it will take you to Level 1 Cardboard Box and you click on that to open the level. Enjoy!

no dice - i have no idea why the hell this isnt working but its driving me nuts. it doesnt matter if i touch the box or not - after the 'porch' animation, it goes back to the loading screen and then back to the main menu. i just don't get it!
Whoever has problem can try this version which works for me.

Easier to just select "Android" as the platform.
Started it today and its really amazing for the NOOK since it requires a big screen to be playable in my opinion.
Great graphics and really interesting.

Go into the app "spare parts" and un-check compatibility mode.
May need a reboot, then you should be in full screen.
I don't have this game, but most frequently this is the issue when an app plays on a small portion of the screen.

Extra data was around 200mb and the screen is full.
Probably the problem is what Blue6IX says.

HD means whatever you want it to mean... The original android phone (G1) was 320x480 so modern phones (800x480) are very "HD" in comparison. The NC just happens to be even higher definition (1024x600).

I would think the better question is, when compatibility is turned off and it works in full screen, does it look like it's scaled to fit? Or does it actually look proper high resolution?
When I say "scaled to fit" I mean like how PvZ/Peggle from Amazon are obvious scaled to fit and not full high resolution.

even when you fully zoom inside the game, graphics are great without any distortion.

The games that I've had to disable compatibility mode for to get full screen haven't appeared to be scaled. They look like native 1024x600. Wave Blazer comes to mind.
I can't seem to get this to work on my CM7 NC. I purchased it with the $1 india method, and bought it for the droid X, but after it downloads the data, plays the gameloft intro video, shows the disclaimer, it crashes to launcher with no message.
Any ideas? how did you all buy the game? which device did you buy it for?

Downloaded "regular" (not HD) settlers... couldn't get full screen, regardless of compatibility mode. Downloaded HD settlers, got full screen, was able to download data, again, regardless of compatibility mode.
Game plays great, i have a feeling that once I sit down and get a chance to play it, its gonna be addicting!

This little hack is no longer needed to get At Bat Lite to work on CM.
You still need Fake GPS to set your location. Set "Allow mock locations" in Androids settings.

It installs fine from the market on any tab. But with most tabs you will not get the TV icon to watch live video and archived games unless you edit the build property.
I installed a nightly a couple of days ago which reset the 4 lines from the OP back to default. And MLB.TV live streaming still works.
So looks like you could change the device in build properties, reboot, run MLB At Bat Lite, go back to original build prop., reboot, and At Bat live streams should still work.
Model must be stored in the At Bat confg I guess.
Is a Premium subscription really necessary?
Do you really need the MLB TV Premium subscription to get this working? I'm more apt to pay $15 for the At Bat subscription than I am to pay $125.
If anyone's gotten it to work without the Premium subscription, can you please let us know how you've gone about doing so?

I was looking more for the radio feed and the replay ability. My workplace tends to frown on people watching video feeds when they're supposed to be working.
I didn't need to edit anything on CM 9 official... Downloaded Lite, logged in with my MLB.com account and can listen and watch games perfectly. I am a premium subscriber.

MLB must have changed some things.
That must be why it still worked for me after installing a nightly. And my build prop got reset.
can't get by location check
I almost get at.bat working. I have CM9 installed on the touchpad, and log in with my MLB membership, and I have a premium account. I signed up just for a month to test this stuff.
At.Bat installs fine, when I try to view a live game, it doesn't get by the location check, says it can't figure out where I am and doesn't let me watch. When I look at details of the app it says it just checks cell info and GPS info, which of course doesn't exist.
When I view through the Android browser, I ask for the browser to show me the full non-mobile website, then it lets me view video because it checks my location via wifi.
I need to tell the app to use wifi to check my location. How would I do that?

O thats is interesting!
I thought they use the IP from the tab.
I have the app "Fake GPS" installed.
I set my location to Chicago and I got blacked out from the game.
Set it back to where it was, rebooted and wasn't blacked out.

Guys...just download Fake GPS like you said...and set it to China or Japan...so you can watch anygame you want. Ive been watching games since opening day without a problem

I can confirm this. I just installed the CM9 nightly from the other night and I didn't have to to anything special to watch games on my TP.
Thanks guys, fake-GPS did the trick.
I have a few questions about Fake GPS. I have it installed and have it set to China. I live in San Diego, so I opened the At Bat app and tried to watch the Padres game but it says it's blacked out because I live in the zone.
How are you guys getting Fake GPS to work? Do I need to not use the At Bat app but instead watch the game through my browser?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

You need to watch through Atbat lite only.
You might need to set "Allow mock locations" in Android's settings.
Also, you may need to reboot after changing location in Fake GPS.

Download link works for me. App works with live streaming of cable channels, plus remote control of cable boxes in my home. As the OP described, you need to clear the app data and sign in each time you run the app. Good find.

When I tried to use live TV feature with the App in google play it says that my device is not supported. This one works perfect on my 10" tablet.
now im really happy. because this is much nicer to watch on than my 4.5" phone screen.
The next thing I need to figure out is how I can watch the optimum app on the road. (not on my home router). They say to use VPN, I can see that working, however Id like a simpler option, if at all possible.

So it works fine when u install and run it first time. once u close out of the app and restart it goes back to saying "not supported". Why is this? is there anything we can do to make this work. I think it might be VERY inconvienent to constantly uninstalling/reinstalling everytime i have to open and close this app.

and considering the EARLIEST android version of optimum app works fine with my tablet, it is obvious they are holding us back on purpose.

First off, how can I get rid of the little blue tab on the side with the icon shortcuts. I never use any of them. It would be great to be able to add my own app shortcuts to it but I could not figure out how. I am guessing that these are limited to only ones that are able to do the split screen feature.
Another question is, is there a program that can allow you to use your mouse and keyboard from your PC to control the phone, in a way that I have my phone next to the computer monitor, drag my mouse across over to the side, and the cursor appears on the android screen? Similar to Synergy (PC program)?
Is there a way to keep track of how much data you use over the 4g network? I don't want to go over my 2gigs a month.
I saw on a website that had "top 50 features of the Note2" that it has a feature where you can make the camera track your eyes, so that when you lay in bed, the screen does not rotate. Anyone know about this?
Also, I am pretty new to Android as this is my first smart phone ever. Is there a way to make google reader show pictures from blog artices, instead of having one app for slickdeals (iSlick) or another app for reading lifehacker articles? (Lifehacker unofficial)? I think I would use google reader if it showed pictures.
Has anyone started using Utter!? Seems like a great idea but I did not get very far with exploring it.

Press and hold back until it goes away. Press and hold back again to bring it back.

Don't think this is possible the way you describe. They do offer a dock that allows you to plug in a USB keyboard/mouse to control the phone, but you can't have one mouse control both without unplugging it from one and plugging it in to the other.

You can't track JUST 4G usage, but you can track mobile data usage. Go in to Settings and then Data usage. You can even set an alert to warn you when you get close, and a limit that will disable mobile data after so much usage.

This is also in Settings, though under Display. What you're looking for is Smart Rotation. Smart Stay is also there and that keeps the screen on while you look at it.

Google Currents allows you to do news/feed reading. Not sure how it works, but it's listed as an option. Get it in the Play Store.
